What an incredible experience! Valeria and Valentina made our evening so much fun as my wife & I learned how to make 2 types of homemade pasta and delicious tiramisu from scratch! The ladies were great teachers and provided everything we needed (including the wine). Their warmth & hospitality made this one of the highlights of our entire honeymoon trip to Italy! An absolute must-do when visiting Rome!

It was so fun! We made a wonderful meal together in her beautiful home and it wasn’t uncomfortable for a minute. You will enjoy it!
This was one of the best things we have done whilst in Italy. I would thoroughly recommend it. Maria and her family were amazing. An outstanding experience.
Our cooking class in Rome with Valeria and Valentina Best was the best! My teenage son and I took this class together and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Made 2 types of bruschetta, cacio e pepe tagliarini, and tiramisu. All steps were explained articulately (and often with interesting tidbits about the food or history) and demonstrated when needed but my son and I got to do the actual preparing and cooking, which is exactly what we wanted. Though I've always thought bruschetta is fairly simple to make, I learned easy ways to make it even tastier (ie. rub garlic on the bread first). Making pasta always seemed intimating to me. I'm confident now that I can easily make Italian quality pasta at home. The tiramisu was to die for! Valeria is so lovely - kind, warm, smart, and extremely knowledgeable about food (Valentina couldn't make it that day due to personal business). The class takes place in Valeria's home and it is gorgeous. Outside of class, she made homemade limoncello and shared some with us. Wow - amazing too!
Giovanna, our hostess, was exceptional! She made my husband and me feel at home. We had fun learning how to make homemade cavatelli, Italian appetizers and Tiramisu'! The company, conversation & wine was free flowing and enticing. We recommend this exquisite Italian cooking class 100%. The best meal we've had in Roma! Almost forgot... the sauce recipe was fabulous. I won't spoil the surprise, but LOVED it! Grazie Bella! Magnifico!
Very welcoming couple. Casual learning experience. Tasty 😋 family like atmosphere. The only complaint is having to fill out this questionnaire.
Marco was an amazing host. Welcoming and patient. His explanation of the ingredients and method was detailed. I would highly recommend him as a host.
Cristina Is the absolute best ….. a private chef with a zest for life - She welcomed us to her lovely home with a huge smile and a lot of enthusiasm - We cooked and we laughed not only learning great recipes but the techniques that gave them character - Her patio overlooking the olive trees and herb garden was a delight to enjoy the dishes we prepared - Hight recommended !!!!!
We really enjoyed our cooking class with Maria and Giorgio. We learned to make several pasta dishes that we will be able to share with our family. We also shared a delicious meal with them. Also this was more than a cooking class. It was truely an authentic experience where we were welcomed into their home and learned a lot about Italian culture and daily life. It was a highlight of our trip to Rome and one we will remember for many years.
While visiting Italy to see our daughter who was studying abroad, I knew I wanted to take a cooking class. I hoped for a warm, authentic experience in a Roman home rather than a formal cooking school, and Cristina provided exactly that—and so much more. From the moment we arrived, we felt like guests in her gorgeous home, nestled among six olive trees, where she processes her own divine olive oil. We prepared our meal at a spacious work table and enjoyed each course in her dining room, beautifully lit by the warm glow of the Christmas tree. The entire experience was simply spectacular. Planning this activity was a priority for our trip, but after three companies failed to confirm, Cesarine made it seamless, finding us a home cooking class just 25 minutes from our hotel. With Cristina, we made homemade fettuccine, choosing one of the four classic Roman sauces, learned to trim and prepare Roman artichokes, and crafted tiramisu from scratch. Cristina also welcomed us with bruschetta and wine to start the meal. Cristina is a wonderful teacher and host. She shared so much about Roman culture while eagerly learning about life in the U.S. as well. We left with full hearts, full stomachs, and memories we’ll cherish forever. If you’re looking for a truly authentic Roman cooking experience, this is it!
I had a very great cooking class and a wonderful evening together with Veleria and Valentina. We made delicious Italian food and I had a really great time.
We had a wonderful time with Carmelo - from the market, quick stop for coffee, prep & cooking, and most importantly eating! He was well prepared, easy to talk to, and we really enjoyed hearing about his family and his passion for cooking. His apartment was perfect for ‘’class’’, charming and comfortable.
We loved our experience with Cesarine. The family who welcomed us prepared typical Roman dishes. With a theme based on the autumn season, we discovered delicious and original dishes. A welcoming family, our hosts were very attentive, and we had a lot of fun chatting with them. An activity that's worth it on your trip to Rome, we warmly recommend Rosanna.
A great experience overall. Thank you for the lesson Chef Larry and to both of you for opening your home. This experience will not be soon forgotten.
We had a great time with Ofelia in Rome. She welcomed us into her home and cooked and let us participate in the pasta making! Her home was beautiful and the food and wine was great. It was a highlight of our trip and we recommend highly. We sat and talked and enjoyed our meal together :) We felt like we were friends and not people that just met. Thank you Ofelia <3
Do Not book this unless you want to have an amazing time with an extremely lovely couple and eat delicious, authentic Roman food! Leonardo and Ofelia are kind and genuine and you will feel welcome and comfortable in their beautiful home. One of our most enjoyable times in Roma and we made new friends as a bonus!!! Could not recommend more!!! 😀
The Cesarines who conducted our cooking class were wonderful, friendly, and spoke great English. It was interesting to be invited into a private home in a residential area of Rome. However, as this was a private home, our four guests could not fit in the kitchen to cook. We did a minimal amount of cooking and the host did most of it. There were no written recipes to follow along or to take home - seemed a bit amateur. And for a price tag over $615 for 4 people, this should have been much more professional - with room for all in the kitchen. And the worst part was that we paid for all the ingredients and didn't get to take home one morsel of food! I would not recommend this tour.
Not being refunded for an experience that didn’t happen. Despite best efforts, we never met the host.
Marco was our teacher and he was an absolute blast to be around not to mention the amazing food that he taught us how to make. I went with two other friends right after college graduation and we all walked out talking about how it was one of the best things we did on a month long trip. I would highly recommend you add this to any trip in Rome.
We had a great evening in Marco's kitchen. He was very welcoming and it was great getting to know him. The cooking class was hands on and the food was delicious. I highly recommend
We absolutely loved our class with Cristina! My mom, sister, and I booked a class to make supplì, pasta with cacio e pepe AND amatriciana, and maritozzi. I was not sure how we could make it all in 3 hours, but Cristina is a pro! We made everything and had time to sit in her beautiful garden and enjoy it with a glass of wine. Everything was DELICIOUS and we learned so much. Cristina is a fabulous host and I would book another class with her in a heartbeat. It was one of our favorite things we did in Rome. Thank you, Cristina!
We did this our last night in Rome and it was our favorite experience! Getting to meet and cook with a local was so much fun for us.
We had a great time learning the art of making pasta and tiramisu. Enjoyed the finished product immensely.
Great experience with our host Emma, gained a local's experience on Italian cuisine, coffee culture and wine. Our experience began with some coffee, then we started rolling fresh gnocchi, cooked with a simple tomato and mozzarella/parmesan sauce. For our first course, we prepared a Tuscany style sausage and cheese bruschetta, talking through the simplicity of the recipes but passed down through tradition. Then we had our fresh gnnochi with Roman wine and finished with tiramisu prepared in advanced by Emma. Great experience overall and was a friendly host with a beautiful home. Emma has lived all throughout Italy and brings tons of knowledge of different regional foods. Definitely recommend this experience!
Cristina was a great host and her cooking skills are superb. We had a wonderful Roman dinner. Tiramisu was so whiting from heaven
David e Flavio were excellent hosts, very friendly, funny and welcoming. It was a fantastic experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
I had an excellent and most enjoyable cooking experience with a gentleman named Cosimo and his wife Rosa. Cosimo spoke good English and did most of the teaching but Rosa assisted an was very helpful with some language translation which I needed. I took the class by myself. The class was very hands-on and Cosimo's instructions were very clear. We made several very good dishes which we enjoyed together in their dining room afterwords. It was exactly the kind of class I wanted.
We cooked fettuccine with a carciofi and mint sauce, pastelli (fired vegetables, light and very crispy), and a ricotta dessert with lightly stewed apples on top, with a glass of wine. I've already made pasta since, which I had never done before. We went to the teacher's apartment. She was an interesting person and had recently begun doing this because she likes speaking with foreigners about food and politics. Luckily we all agreed on those issues. I would do this again and I recommend it
Carmelo was kind and friendly, making pasta was a lot of fun and we will try it again at home thanks to the advice we received. Overall I had a wonderful evening. Definitely recommended!
It was a special day! Cristina's sympathy and kindness made us spend a different Easter: interesting and fun. We felt welcomed as long-time friends. The cooking experience was complete and very satisfying. Everything worked perfectly. The decisive and exhaustive explanations. A lot of expertise and nothing to suggest the annoying subsistence of many chefs! Even the background music is perfect!! In short, a Masterclass of 10 and honors.
