Janice and Francesca were wonderful! They provided an excellent meal for my husband and I. We were treated with appetizers, taught how to make delicious gnocchi, and they even prepared dessert! They treated us like family and made us feel so special. I left feeling like we were friends 💜 next time we are in Rome we will definitely pop in again to say hello. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our time with Janice & Francesca. They made us feel like family. We cooked, we drank, we laughed, we shared stories, and we ate. We ate lots of wonderful food. In our pre-trip communications with them, I had shared that our trip was a celebration of my wife and my 35th anniversary. The other wonderful couple there that night had also shared that it was their 20th. The sister’s presented us each with a special dessert and music during the evening. So very special for them to remember. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to get a feel and taste for authentic Italian hospitality, and food, with recipes straight from the old country. I feel as if we’ve added to our family now.
We had the most wonderful evening with Janice, Francesca and Pietro! They are the sweetest pair of sisters who taught us how to make delicious gnocchi, taught to them from their grandmother who owned a restaurant in Rome. They were such ingratiating hosts who made us feel like old friends. We loved getting to know them, Pietro, and other guests from around the world. Thank you for a most memorable evening! Janice and Francesca are amazing people. Warm, friendly and genuinely caring. This is a truly authentic Italian dinner with a great family. It was my mom and dad’s 50 th anniversary and they went above and beyond to make it special. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! By the end of the night we became friends and would open our homes to these kind and warm women to come stay with us!
My favorite part was the warmth & enthusiasm Janice & Francesca gave to us. We spent 3 weeks in Italy & dinner with them was a highlight! The food was the best we had in Rome & the ambiance was spectacular. I will recommend this to all that travel to Rome. The driver they recommended was great & we booked him to drive us the the airport. He was also friendly & funny & he gave us a mini tour on our way & back to our hotel.

My friend and I had the delightful experience of enjoying a delicious meal hosted by Janice and Francesca. Their generous spirit had us feeling right at home and we left knowing we had made forever friends! The food was out of this world. We felt spoiled with the amount of attention we received and it is definitely an authentic experience. We highly recommend taking advantage of the private car for transportation - so worth it. Our driver was on time and most excellent. If we had more time in the Eternal City, we would visit with Francesca and Janice (and, let's not forget Pietro!) again. A most marvelous time. Thank you!
Francesca & Janis were great hosts and teachers. We had a great time learning to make gnocchi. Even we couldn't ruin the gnocchi and the rest of the courses were even better. Just as good as the food was the interaction with our hosts and their family. We have the recepies and look forward to making the gnocchi again. This experience was one of the highlights of our time in Rome we highly recommend it.

What can I say about being able to share an authentic Italian dinner in the home of Janice and Francesca- 2 of the nicest people we've ever had the honor to know? From the moment we were welcomed into their home , through the most scrumptious meal we've ever eaten until we sadly said goodbye as they helped us arrange a suitable ride back to our hotel since my husband has severe mobility issues, our time with Janice and Francesca was absolutely sublime! From the salad with prosciutto and fresh Buffalo Mozzarella which LITERALLY melted in our mouths, to the pasta Bolognese which was the best we've had anywhere in the world (thanks goes to Janice and Francesca's Grandma for passing down these recipes!) To our scrumptious chocolate dessert, we were wined and dined in the best company! Our time at their house was better than we could have dreamed and we know the next time we return to Rome, our first "dinner reservation" will once again be with Janice and Francesca! We highly recommended joining this lovely family if you'd like an evening with lively conversation with people from all over the world while you eat authentic Italian dishes in a fun and relaxing atmosphere! We'd like to thank Janice and Francesca for being the ultimate hosts for an evening we will never forget!

Such an incredible and memorable experience cooking with Janice and Francesca! The whole evening was planned perfectly from pick up to drop off. We loved the intimate experience of learning how to make authentic Italian gnocchi, and then being able to enjoy it with new friends and guests who arrived later. Janice and Francesca also did a great job of mixing in fun, little Italian customs throughout the night. Make sure to arrive hungry!!
Wonderful experience. I learned how to prepare gnocchi and met very nice people from all pver the world! I was a bit perplexed because I went alone and instead I felt immediately at ease and I had great fun! It was not only a life lesson but a life experience. Oh what a night!! This experience far exceeded my expectations. I anticipated having a nice time but it was so much more! Janice and Francesca were perfect hosts. The moment we arrived we were greeted like family. Immediately we were presented a lovely appetizer and wine. The wine (red and white) flowed freely all night. We had such fun making gnocchi and sauce. It was so delicious as was all the courses we shared that night. My husband and I were in attendance with one other couple also from the US. The table was set beautifully. We all spent the evening not only chatting like old friends, but dancing and sharing photos of all our families. It was a magical evening we will cherish always!!! Cooking fantastic also for young people. I did this cooking class with an English friend of mine and we had a lot of fun. The instructions are very simple but effective and even my friend was very satisfied so much that she wants to come again. Thank you so much we will definitely come soon!
It has been a very fun experience, everything was really cared in all particulares. We met some very nice english and italian people and learned how to prepare italian gnocchi with a special tomato sauce. They had all the engreedients very well displayed on the table and the recepie was very well explained. We wreally enjoed preparing italian gnocchi and would wreally like to try another recepie with them.

I went to this cooking class to learn how to make homemade pasta. I never imagined I would have such a good time. The atmosphere at Janice & Francesca's home is unforgettable, warm, relaxed but also a lot of fun. A note that I want to point out is the music that accompanied us, simply fantastic! And last but not least the pasta was exquisite. I will definitely be back very soon!
Fantastic experience.! We learned how to make gnocchi while having a lot of fun. We chatted like old friends and told each other many things about our life. It was as if we had known each other forever. It was a long time since I had such a beautiful evening! I also tried making gnocchi at home and they were faboulous. I highly recommend this experience.
This was so fun! My husband and I went with my brother in law and his wife. My brother in law didn’t really want to go. He asked if he could just go eat but not do the cooking. I told him I would not even ask for that....it’s meant to be an experience. And it definitely was an experience, a great one. It was like just cooking and eating with an Italian family and their friends. Janice invited about 4 other people to come enjoy the meal with us. All of the guests spoke English to varying degrees, which was great since we didn’t speak any Italian. We loved the food, the fun and the company. My brother in law now says be sure to include him if we go somewhere with a cooking class to experience. He still raves about it. (This took place in Oct 2019...pre-COVID but TripAdvisor does not allow me to post for that long ago.)
We had the pleasure of spending an evening with Janice and Francesca in September 2019. What a lovely and super fun evening. The food was fantastic and plentiful. We were singing and dancing. Definitely a highlight in our visit to Rome. Thank you so much for opening your home to us. It is a memory we will cherish always. Also, I have made the gnocchi at home with great results!!
