Great tour. We booked a small private tour and it was just the two us plus the guide. Very informative and interesting. We learned much of the history of Rome and the different cultures that have lived in the area. Many amazing facts and things to see. The only thing we would change is the time of year. August was hot. Come to Rome between mid September and May

Our small group tour guide, Paolo, was great. He was extremely knowledgeable and the pacing was just right. An added fun bonus was his culinary botanical pop quizzes. He actively helped us manage the summer weather by seeking out shade for us to stand under and a couple cold drinking fountain stops. I highly recommend this tour.

Marta was great on a very hot day, told it was 40C. tour was informative allowing for photographs and Marta was kind enough to take family pics on several occasions. Being a hot day she included stops at water fountains to top up bottles. I can recommend this small group tour - no standing in line for tickets, quick entrance through various points including bag searches.

Donatella was fantastic! She was informative and considerate. It was intensely hot (95 F) and she consistently found little bits of shade and cool water stops for us to stay hydrated, all while sharing bits of knowledge and giving us context to imagine the splendor, architecture, and everyday life of Romans in centuries past. It seemed that every other tour group we passed was huge. Ours was just 6 people - truly semi private - which gave us freedom to ask lots of questions and take some great pictures. Donatella’s deep knowledge and obvious passion for Rome were apparent throughout. And it was a huge advantage for her to navigate our way through the insane crowds trying to get into the coliseum - we definitely made it through the lines and security much faster than people without tour guides! Our Private Colosseum and Palatine Hill Tour with Patricia was excellent! Excellent tour. This was just the right length. Our guide, Inga, was excellent. She tailored her talk to our interests and was very considerate about talking in the shade when possible, as it was very hot. Inga was very knowledgeable and perfectly balanced stories with historical information and facts. She was able to find just the right spots for us to view, even in heavy crowds. I love the small groups.

We took this tour on 30-Apr at 2:30p. Weather was fantastic. There is a lot of up and down walking. There is so much history along the journey, from temples to churches and then the famous colosseum. Value was very good overall. We would do this tour again with this same operator!

Wonderful tour with Ricardo. This was a semi private tour but it turned out that we were the only participants so we had Ricardo to ourselves and he was outstanding. He has fabulous knowledge that he imparted in such an interesting way, we really enjoyed it, fascinating!

This was one of the best tours I have ever been on. We booked a semi-private tour but ended up being the only people in the tour. So it was just my wife and I with our guide. He was amazing! He was so knowledgeable about the topics, the history, the region. Just a wealth of knowledge. He kept us engaged the entire time by asking questions while we walked from place to place. The three hours felt like the right amount of time. We weren't rushed and doing the tour in January it was not crazy crowded at the landmarks. It was worth the price that we paid and I would book it again.

The tour exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Donatella, helped us visualize the Roman Forum with the stories she told and pictures she showed us. The history was fascinating. We learned so much and a lot of the information was unexpected and painted the picture of life during that time. Donatella was very knowledgeable and personable. Our Colosseum tour was very informative and our guide did a very good job relaying the information and answering questions. The only negative thing I would say is that we found it a little long. The highlight is going to the Colosseum where you spend about 30 minutes at the end of the tour. We felt that the Forum and Palatine Hill portion could have been a little shorter. Overall, we would still recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful time with our guide, Maria. She was super knowledgeable and very accommodating for the diverse crowd in our group. There was not a question she couldn’t answer! I loved her added stories and nuances. The tour itself is awe-inspiring. It’s crazy to walk on the same grounds as the people who lived and served in the Roman forum.

Leah was funny, interesting and intelligent. Made very dry history come alive. Very impressed and we could tell that she cared for us as individuals.
