Colosseum With Digital Audioguide And Arena Option

Not happy! These tickets were mis sold to us and others booked at the same time. We all thought that it included access to the Colosseum and that the 'Arena Option' was access to where the gladiators fought. There was not even an 'option' to gain access to the Colosseum on the day. The word Colosseum should not have been used at all.

Our golf cart tour was canceled at the last minute due to a "charging malfunction ". Viator did not reschedule for us. It really messed up our day. They told us there was no one else who could do the tour. We had to go online ourselves and find another golf cart tour. Fortunately, we were able to get one in the afternoon of the same day. Our experience with the other company was wonderful. I'm very disappointed in Viator that they could not fulfill their obligation. When you're traveling outside the country and it's the only time you will ever be there, it's disappointing to have your excursions canceled. Fortunately we did receive a refund.

While it was easy to book and pick up tickets I question if it could have been cheaper to book direct. Also, the audio guide was an app similar to the free Colosseum app on site, so not sure if this was worth the extra. Overall the Colosseum was amazing and as said, the process to book and collect tickets was smooth.

We bought these tickets assuming you get to see the colosseum. You dont. Apparently other people waiting with me were equally angry These only entitled you to see another set of buildings near thr colosseum.

We only wanted to view the area and it worked out well for us! No waiting in lines ! Only view from the top!

I’m writing this review because I’m extremely pissed off with this experience. My friend and I booked the Colosseum tour for today, September 26, at 11:00 AM. We arrived at the meeting point at 10:30 AM, as instructed, but there was absolutely no blue flag to be found. We waited, looked around repeatedly, and even asked other tour guides if they knew where the meeting point was, but no one could help us. We also called the tour operator several times, but no one answered. Even after 11:00 AM, we stayed there and continued looking for the damn blue flag, but no one showed up and no one contacted us. This is completely unacceptable. We followed the instructions, arrived early, and made every effort to find the tour, but the tour operator simply did not show up or respond. I want a full refund for the tour.

We had a fabulous tour of the Rome Coliseum and Forum with Alba, one of the best guides I’ve ever had. Alba led her merry band of international travelers (from all over the world!) with energy and aplomb befitting an Emily in Paris episode. In fact, that’s what it felt like as she enthusiastically explained how and when the Coliseum had been built, how it had been plundered during the Middle Ages, how the Forum had been turned into a cow pasture after the fall of the Roman Empire, and a million other interesting and surprising insights. Would love to find her again on another tour!

Good service, the app was useful and gave us lots of information. Will however book myself if we go again.

We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide! He was very informative and patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He also kindly took pictures of us throughout the tour, which was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend!

Don’t know why it is called guided and you pay $100 to have someone download an app on your phone and expect you to get much out of it. Poor advertising in my opinion

The ticket was a waste of money and false advertising. Please read the fine print. We ended up purchasing tickets at the Colosseum gate and cheaper than what we purchased through the app and we were able to see more than our original tickets. Please don’t waste your money

Very busy during the morning and can get extremely hot but well worth it! The Colosseum is a tremendous sight and definately a one off!

It’s a self paced tour on your own. The place is very busy but was great to see. Our ticket did not include the floor, which we were disappointed about. Make sure you book.

Biggest let down. “Here are your tickets and download the audio guide.” Almost every direction is blocked. Impressive attraction. Poor service. Not worth a penny. Buy a live guided tour if you wish to be tortured there.

Make sure you read the tour when you pick it. It was very confusing. Our tickets said Colosseum, but it wouldn’t let us in the Colosseum.

The tickets and hand off were very easy. I underestimated the heat of the day. We downloaded the app for the audio guide but our phones would not load to listen along. Still great just some small hiccups.

Easy way to do this tour. Burgers was extremely helpful. Audio tour was informative but not overwhelming.

If you are looking to do this on your own, this is a great option. They give you all the app information prior to the tour. You do need to download it ahead of time because the internet inside the colosseum isn't great.

Ticket pickup was easy. Remember to download the audio in advance as the download speeds are slow. So amazing to see!

Paid 100€ for tour but told on arrival that tours that day were cancelled. They claimed they had tried to warn me but no evidence exists. No refund was offered. Looks like a very suspicious outfit.

What a great experience!! Efficient and friendly check-in with Cosmos at the meeting place. Our tour guide, Julia was the very best!! She was super informative and fun! She infused the history of the Roman Empire with creative flair. She led with a calm, confident manner. Even though we were on a schedule, you never felt rushed. I feel like I was living in Roman times for a few hours and would recommend this tour to everyone!!

The tour was exceptional, host Reeva was where we were told she would be told us what the procedure would be then introduced our tour guide Claudia . Found Claudia very knowledgeable, very engaging and had time to answer all questions .

You don’t need to meet any tour guide to pass you a printed ticket. Ideally you book a full tour with a guide to make the sightseeing more interesting.

It was very chill, we could get the tickets very easyly and the woman was very nice to us. Recomended to all who want to come here.

A fantastic experience with my 14yr old daughter. We enjoyed the history and took lots of photos. Our rep, Reeva, from Inside Out Italy was amazing and very professional. Her attention to detail and making sure we had all the information needed for our self guided tour was impeccable. The guide (Ms. Claudia) was amazing. The tour was a bit long however she made it entertaining with questions, riddles, role play. She anticipates our needs with breaks in between. And the final touch for me was the interest she showed for us, the visitors, and the recommendation of restaurants and ice cream shop. Thank you Claudia🙏🏾

Great day trip to Colosseum area. Reeva organised us well and was pleasant, even with the more awkward attendees. We were extremely lucky with our guide, Pamela, who was interesting and informative. She kept the group engaged despite the intense 🥵. We would definitely recommend Pamela and the tour group, Inside Out Italy, to anyone considering the experience 😀

Our tour guide, Claudia, was amazing! She gave us all sorts of interesting factoids about the Colliseum. The tour is worth every €.

I recommend this activity, it enables you to get to know major historical attractions of ancient Rome. I especially enjoyed the Forum Romanum part, but I think everyone will find something interesting. Thebtrip was well-prepared, our host was Reena, who explained organisational details and was very nice and professional. :)

The Colosseum speaks for itself, I highly recommend a guided tour as you find out stories that an information card just can’t give you. Claudia was excellent and had endless stories and facts.

The Colosseum tour was great. We got to walk into the area where they used to have the fights and see where the spectators sat.

Seeing the Colosseum for the first time was a wow moment. But getting inside was just amazing and with the full experience of being taken around by our knowledgeable tour guide from Inside Out Italy made it quite special. The highlight was of course seeing the whole of the Colosseum from the arena floor but we also got taken up and round different floors and seeing it from different angles. Then after the Colosseum you're taken across to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. So all in all it was what I would call a thorough tour the only bit we didn't see up close was the underground part of the Colosseum but you get to see the central underground section from the arena floor anyway. Well worth doing.

Martina was so helpful when I’d made a mistake with my booking. I’d inadvertently booked the wrong day and hadn’t realised until she rang me wondering where I was. She waited for me to catch the metro and get to the meeting point which was above and beyond her job.
