Colosseum Arena Floor Roman Forum And Palatine Hill Guided Tour

Julia was our guide and she had so much knowledge and information to share! Had a great tour and wonderful experience.

We had to wait twice at Colosseum check in points because the guide didn't have the required passes for herself. She spent too much time inside the Colosseum and didn't have passes for us to get into a museum in the Forum area. She wasted time twice speaking at length about Romulus and Remus. We had far too little time in the Forum and never set foot on the Palatine Hill which was advertised as part of this semi- private "enhanced" experience. A disappointing, frustrating experience .

Our guide Daniel was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable, funny and answered so many questions. Having a guided tour helped us with entry and crowds. Wouldn’t do it any other way. Highly recommend this tour and him.

We had a great experience with this tour and our tour guide Giulia was great, even being her first tour! She was incredibly knowledgeable and took time to answer all questions with care. The small group (5 people) was also a bonus and made it easy to follow along and hear the guide at all times.

Our guide, Julia was knowledgeable and took time to give us insight into the areas we were visiting. She also was mindful of stopping to sit, getting shade, and restroom breaks. It was a great, in depth experience.

Giulia was excellent and spoke with good English. She had lots of interesting history stories about the tour, which you wouldn’t get from a guidebook. She is doing a PhD on 10th century Roman architecture. We covered everything in the three hours.Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience touring the Colosseum with Elizabetta. She was amazing from start to finish! Her knowledge of the history was incredible. She brought the history of the Colosseum to life. You could tell how passionate she is about what she does. Elizabetta made the entire experience memorable. We learned so much and enjoyed every minute of our tour. I would highly recommend this excursion, and if you have the opportunity to tour with Elizabetta, you won't be disappointed! She was fantastic!

Very knowledgeable guide but not very personable. She knows her history very well and answers questions. Very much felt like we were on a schedule, which we sort of were, on a timeline, but really experienced personable guides have the something extra with people. Perhaps she is somewhat shy outside of lecturing?

Giulia was energetic and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our tour and learning about Roman history and especially architecture.

The tour guide was extremely monotone, there wasn’t any enthusiasm, we had another tour the day before at the Vatican and the tour guide and her passion for the site was infectious. This tour guide just made the experience boring, which is such a shame because there is so much history, drama etc to the colosseum that it should have been an incredible and interesting tour.

We did the Colosseum tour in Rome on September 29 with Giuliana as our guide, and it was outstanding. Her background and education really shined through, she brought the history of the Colosseum and its surroundings to life in a way that was both educational and entertaining. She told the story so clearly and engagingly that everything clicked into place. Without her, I honestly wouldn’t have known what I was looking at. Giuliana made the whole experience memorable. If you’re planning a Colosseum tour, request her if you can, she’s fantastic!

We had a wonderful experience and tour with Elizabetha. Amazing information on the beginnings of Rome by a very knowledgeable Roman historian. She explained everything so thoroughly and had visual images with her as well. Elizabetha was friendly, courteous and attentive. Tour guide was knowledgeable and nice. Was very patient with us when we wanted to take photos. Was very helpful even after the tour was over taking us to where we would take a taxi.

Guilia was a fantastic guide! She was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely pleasant and professional. It is a vigorous tour requiring a certain amount of stamina, especially in regard to the stairs, the time spent in the hot hot hot sun, and the length of it (3.5+ hours).

Our guide, Alex, was wonderful. So knowledgeable, friendly, and fun! We wouldn’t hesitate to book another guided tour with him.
