Amazing tour of the Colosseum, Palantine Hill and the Forum. Maurizio was an incredible guide. He was very knowledgeable, very pleasant and very easy going. He did just the right tour for me and my kids. I would recommend him to everyone. Only issue was we could have used a heads up on how the marathon that morning would impact our arrival at the meeting spot.

Entering is easy as long as you follow the information on your ticket. Truly amazing place. We had the Super Pass so we also visited ROMAN FORUM • PALATINE HILL and the Colosseum - arena level. Everything was very clean and the staff spoke and understood english well. We had 90 minutes in the Colosseum and the 24 hours for ROMAN FORUM • PALATINE HILL.

Rosie was absolutely amazing-she was so knowledgeable but made all the facts and sights fun and entertaining. She knows how to tell stories and bring to light the things that are interesting and worth knowing during a shorter visit. Highly recommend this tour. Pickup and drop off were also stellar and I’d suggest adding this service for a well rounded excursion.

Lina was an excellent guide through the tour of The Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. It was a great way to navigate these busy land marks!

Rosie did an amazing job! She organized our taxi's to and from our hotel. Walked us through the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine while sharing stories all along the way. She answered all of our questions, and her stories and knowledge really helped us to better understand the history of each place. We loved our time with Rosie and walked away saying that was absolutely worth it!

Ellie was amazing -- so knowledgeable about all aspects of the Colosseum. We were staying near the Colosseum so she arrived at our ABNB on time and we were off. She was everything we wanted in a guide. There was a book that she illustrated the before and current status of the Colosseum that was fabulous. We decided later we wanted to purchase a copy and she provided us with the location where we could procure the book. Additionally, she also helped us find a great lunch place for our stay in Rome. Coordination before and after the tour was excellent, as City Eyes kept in touch with us throughout our four days.

Our guide, Azzurra was a great resource for us as we toured both the colosseum and the forum. She took us through the entire arena sharing details of construction, architecture and stories about what took place in and outside the space. She had a great depth of knowledge for the history of Rome as a civilization, why the site was developed and what occupied the space before. This was true when we entered the Forum as well. A great day with Azzurra!

Had a FANTASTIC private tour with Valeria this week. She was very friendly, hospitable, on time and professional. Really knowledgeable and took her time to show us all the spots at the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. She has so much knowledge and great understanding of history. She answered all our questions and also made the afternoon super fun!! :) Will 10/10 recommend.

Having a fully private tour with Katie F to see the Coliseum, The Palatine and the Forum was by far the best thing we did while in Rome! We had a wonderful morning on our Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill tour with Ellie. Ellie was a wealth of knowledge, fun and friendly. We chose an early morning tour to try to beat some crowds and also the July heat. The Colosseum and Forum were very busy, however, we were in fast queues and access was easy because we had pre-booked. Access to the Arena (which was part of the tour we booked) was an added bonus and I would recommend doing this. City Eyes were excellent. The booking process was easy, communication very good, price was reasonable and spending time with Ellie was great.

We had a wonderful time learning about the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. Azzurra was an amazing guide with excellent history and information. We would highly recommend the early morning start, as we were the first in line and by the time we exited the Colosseum, the line looked very long. Mirta and CityEyes Private Tours did a great job with our private Coliseum Tour. Mirta meet us in the lobby of our hotel, walked us to the Coliseum and we began the 8am tour. Quite a difference experience than a group tour of 30 people with ear pieces. We were able to ask one on one questions. Highly recommend the private tour and ask for Mirta.

I originally booked a group tour with Viator for underground Colosseum. A group of 12 met at our meeting spot and took us down to the entrance. We got to entrance and our tickets didn’t work. Apparently underground for Colosseum is limited and they decide how many can go. Luckily it was our first day in Rome so we had other days to try. For everyone else that was their only chance to go into Colosseum. While standing outside Colosseum trying to figure out what to do, I Whsts Having a private tour guide is worth every penny. You don’t follow around a person holding a stick with a group of 20 people wearing headsets to listen to what they’re saying.

Excellent tour! Would recommend the private tour to anyone. The difference in money is well worth it. Our guide Maria was incredible! This was NOT the canned tour - she had incredible knowledge of everything we pointed at and asked questions about. She highlighted things based on our background and once she got a flavor for the kinds of questions we asked she would audible the tour to point something else out within that same interest. She catered to the weather, adjusted to the crowds, and made us feel like VIPs. Maria is an historian and her education and craft is impressive and on display on her tours. Job well done!

Marco and the driver picked us up early for our colosseum tour. It was great to not have to worry about transportation to get there early. Marco, an archeologist by education, was entertaining and informative! Well worth the private tour!

We had an outstanding private tour with Luigi, he is very knowledgeable and made the tour so interesting!! We highly recommend this tour, everything was perfect from hotel pick-up to the end of the tour. (Make sure you use a taxi app to get back to your hotel or wherever you are heading after the tour. We made the mistake of getting a taxi without using an app and the driver tried to charge us 49 euro for a 10-minute ride, even though the taxi meter indicated 11 euro for the trip.)

Our guide was fun, knowledgeable and pleasant. At that time, I was walking on an injured ankle. Our guide was patient and kind, and I greatly appreciated it.

We booked a private tour of the Colosseum and we LOVED our guide Maria Linda! She was so sweet and so knowledgeable and we could've spent all day with her. I was so excited to see the arena again after 25 years since the first time I was there and she really took the time to tell us all stories! It was like spending the day with a close friend who lives in Rome. Also Eyes of Rome arranged to have Maria Linda and a driver pick us up at our hotel and take us to the tour site, which was such a pleasure and so convenient! Highly recommend!
