We had Gabriella and it was incredible!! Incredibly lively and very informative. Couldn’t recommend more, quite tiring however so come prepared!

Great tour, a very good look at The Romand Forum and worth climbing the 50 metres to the top of Palatine Hill. The Colosseum was the highlight at the end. Bring your own water and food

Overall organized. This was a little too rushed in my opinion. While the tour guide was thorough, she may have been a bit too detailed for the hot Roman sun with hardly any breaks/stops. She was also getting frustrated and impatient, possible due to the heat. At one point, she got annoyed with the group because we were trying to purchase water and that slowed us down too much for her liking, despite the fact that we were all about to pass out.

We had a great tour guide who was very informative, while also being laid-back and going at a comfortable pace. Despite it being at the heat of the day in August, the guide did a great job at maximizing time in the shade and ensuring the comfort of visitors. Doing the tour made access far easier to the Colosseum and Roman Forum without having to worry about tickets or waiting in line.

Scam, no guide$ 350 Canadian when we could have just purchased our own tickets for 100 through the colosseum and had the same experience.

We had a very knowledgeable guide! We are happy we chose to do this tour because we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the sights on our own. We got a lot of history and facts about the different places. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Rome!

Great tour with lots of interesting information. The tour guides were communicative on the day of to check in with us before the tour and make sure we knew where to go. Make sure you bring photo ID! Got to see all the major stuff and listen to the stories of Ancient Rome. Very cool tour and it’s always nice getting to skip the long lines.

Really great tour...we weren't sure what to expect and booked this as we really wanted to see the colleseum but we booked our trip last minute near easter and most slots were sold out, and this tour included entry. Our tour guide Gabriella was amazing though! Very knowledgeable, kept everyone engaged, including our 7 year old boy (tough ask). The headset worked really well and my son was able to use his own headphones. Due to how busy it was at times we did have to move fast which was no issue for us, but imagine it would have been for anyone slightly less able. All round great experience and good value.

Quite a long tour for the heat of the summer. The forum is first so by the time you get to the colloseum you are too tired to fully enjoy it. Tour guide was great!

Our tour guide Gabriella was so great with our kids and answering the many questions we and the kids had. It was an excellent experience learning all about the Colosseo from her! She knew a ton and was exceptional in making time go smooth. She made ways for us and accommodated us with grace among the many visitors there at the colosseo. The headsets were also easier to use than other tours specifically the ones that were provided to our children. Overall our entire family was very happy with her. Even our oldest daughter that had already been and studied much about Rome. She is a high recommendation for us to other families interested in taking a private tour!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and a good presenter. He was able to keep a good pace yet keep us out of the sun as much as possible on that hot 94 degree day. His is our second tour with this company and have been very happy with both.

Wonderful experience our guide Gabriella was knowledgeable and kept the trip fast paced wthout being rushed . Her style was very unguide like and only at the busiest point of the Coloseum reluctantly did the whole extendable stick follow me thing .. Her explanation gave you a real sense of what it was like to live in the height of the Roman Empire and explained the demise of the buildings and the social history of Rome through the ages . The audio equipment was very good too. Learned a lot . Enjoyed the trip loads definitely recommend

Today’s tour with Gabriella was fantastic!! We did the Forum, Palatine hills and Colosseum, which packs a lot in without being rushed or feeling bored. The pace which Gabriella leads you through, the facts that she shares and the time she takes to answer all the questions really made it feel personal - even in a group of 24. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a comprehensive tour of Ancient Rome!!

This was a very frustrating and disappointing experience with Romabout Tours because although I purchased the tour two days in advance and received several confirmations and a ticket, the tour operator had not pre-purchased my entry tickets and when I arrived on time for the tour I was told I was unable to take the tour. I was told I would receive a refund, but it’s almost 24 hours later and I have not yet received it. Even once I receive the refund, it cannot make up for the time I committed to doing that tour and not other activities during that time.

Absolutely beautiful tour. So much amazing history and our tour guide was amazing. He knew his history very well and took us to many cool spots we wouldn’t have found or been able to appreciate the context of without him. Would definitely recommend if your interested in Roman history and how the city develops through the centuries!

We had a marvelous tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Our kids enjoyed all the fun tidbits she included, demonstrating a gladiator fight and how the Romans used the bathroom (kids, right?) Of course, it was crowded but that it to be expected. Our guide made sure to get us to the good spots with plenty of space for pictures. The forum was amazing. I still can't get over that we walked where the ancient Romans did. 10/10 recommend!

We were lucky enough to end up on our tour alone with our guide, so we felt very special having a private tour! Cecelia, our guide was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English, and was a brilliant guide. She knew where to enter the Forum so that we avoided a long queue, and then we spent 3 hours together, which flew past as there was so much to learn, and it was all fascinating. An excellent way to spend the afternoon, can highly recommend . Our thanks to Cecelia.

DO NOT use this tour group. They canceled my tour 20 minutes before the tour start time which denied me the chance for a guided tour of the Coloseum. They promised a refund which I am still trying to get back.

Excellent tour and awesome tour guide. What a fantastic experience. If you’re booking on this tour make sure it’s in your name and not your wife’s. Managed to sneak into both venues as Rebecca with a little help. Just enjoying a meal at Papa Re as recommended. Thank you, a fantastic experience.

The tour started awkwardly as the guide didn’t introduce herself to the group, then we just followed her all the way without seeing her speaking to us face to face. She spoke so broken English that it became very distractive and half way through i saw no point wearing the ear plug. She told the group to go up rather long steps but she herself went up by the lift(she might have told us about the option of going up via lift but no one understood). The tour was supposed to be our highlight in Rome but it is completely ruined by this experience. It is obvious that tour guide is not qualified. We paid over €100 for two and felt being robbed.

The Roman forum is not to be missed. Many want to go straight to the colosseum. The form is full of history!! Our guide did a wonderful job presenting the importance of this area of Ancient Rome.

This guided tour was incredible. Riccardo was absolutely phenomenal and made the experience the best it could have been. We learnt so much that we wouldn’t have learnt independently but still had time to appreciate everything. Would recommend to anyone!
