Frederica was amazing! She went out of her way to show us areas of the forum and colosseum that were interesting to us. She was a wealth of knowledge and really made the history of the area come alive.

Perfect tour for the history enthusiast. Alberto was a delightful guide with deep knowledge on every topic, good sense of humor, and perfect English. We were 4 people. My father and his wife are both in 80s with very limited speed. Our Driver picked us up and was very patient and kind. Her brought us to the tour guide Barbara. She was very knowledgeable and walked at a slow pace as not to rush us. My father was very impressed with her knowledge of the area. After the Colosseum my Dad and his wife decided they could not do the Forum and the walking was tough. She called the driver brought them back to meet the driver and my husband and I went on to finish the tour. We really enjoyed the day and highly recommend.

We have been blessed to travel around the world and we were equally blessed to be on this amazing tour with Denis learning about the ancient history of Roma and the Colosseum. Denis was an incredible guide who welcomed us with a warm smile and treated us to a great tour! We spent a lot of time learning about the history and architecture and he both readily and easily answered our questions. He had picture of what the ancient city looked like giving us a perspective of what that area looked like at the height of its architectural glory. He navigated us easily through the crowds. We never felt rushed or inundated by the crowds around us. Being in the Colosseum itself was awe inspiring, not only for its beauty and historical significance but because Denis really brought the games to life with his vast knowledge of the history, which brought the Colosseum to life. This tour, with Denis, was profoundly meaningful and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

We had a wonderful private tour with a very knowledgeable guide. She spoke great English and knew so very much about everything we were looking at.

We had a private Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill tour with Denis, and he was excellent. He clearly knew the history, cared that our family stayed engaged, and gave us more time and attention than expected. The Forum, Palatine Hill views, and Colosseum were all much more meaningful because of his explanations. Dennis is also an excellent photographer and took the best picture of our entire trip. Great private guide and a very worthwhile Rome experience.

First up, they pick us up from our hotel and took us back after the tour which was fabulous! The drivers were friendly and contacted our tour guide so the pick up and drop off was seamless. Next the tour was guided by the wonderful Maria Serena Lanfranca. She was patient with our many questions and very well versed on the history. She had a visual guide for many of the ruins showing us the before and current looks. It was so helpful. I cannot stress enough to book with Maria Serena! She was fantastic! Best tour we had in Rome!

Dennis was a wonderful guide, full of valuable information and insights. He kept our children (9-14) engaged and entertained the entire time through a tour of the colosseum and Vatican. I would not hesitate to book a tour with Dennis and Kai travel.

Kai Travel was excellent. From the moment I signed up, they were involved and helping. I initially had to sign up as two groups because we had so many. I was contacted immediately and grouped as one tour together and Euros were returned. I was next contacted about transportation. This was also helpful. Kai travel, Ruth, then made sure all our names were accurate (and given there were many incorrect names transferred to her, her thoroughness may have saved us from refusal at the gate). Communication was clear and regular and of all the trips, this was the most organized and thorough. The tour was fun and perfectly managed for the ages we had. Denis helped us take the perfect pictures. He was so warm. knowledgeable and helpful. He even helped us make reservations for lunch and chose a perfect place. It could not have been better. Thank you Kai Travel for making it a perfect day!!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of touring the Colosseum and Forum. Our guide Rachella was excellent. The historic sites are amazing and she made them come alive. She has a way of making you feel that you are walking the streets of Ancient Rome. To anybody visiting Rome, we would strongly recommend this tour with Rachella. You will not be disappointed!

This tour was the highlight of our stay in Rome. Our tour guide Denis was incredible and so knowledgeable. He has been giving tours in Rome for 18 years and it shows - he knew everything about the Forum & Colosseum but also shared a much broader context and history of Rome during our tour. I’m so glad we booked this tour and it was well worth it. As others noted, bring plenty of water and wear a hat and comfy shoes.

Put on good shoes and take enough water with you. It is a long walk, including stairs. Next to that is Denis an excellent Guide. Very friendly, and he can answer all you'r questions. And the Tour ofcourse is a voyage back in time. Realy interesting things i didn't know before.

Denis was the absolute best private tour guide we could’ve ever asked for! We have 2 kids, a 12 year old and a 3 year old (who sat in a stroller). Because we had a stroller and children with us, having a private tour guide is an absolute must, and one that is patient, knowledgeable, experienced with the sites and a great person altogether. Denis was all of those things. He shared so much interesting history and facts both at the Roman Forum and the Colosseum that we couldn’t miss, offered to take pictures for us to commemorate moments and our toddler was playful with him throughout the tour which means he made everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. At times where there was more information he shared, he made sure we were in a shaded area in the heat. He knew exactly where the stroller/accessible access points were which made our tour very efficient and smooth. It was so worth it to us to have a private guide. When your groups are large, I think you tend to miss things, but here, Antonio guided my mom and I through the forum and colosseum and it was amazing!!! He was so knowledgeable and did a great job of referencing photos of reconstructions that he had with him. He kept us moving, found shady spots to talk with us (it was a hot day) and truly gave us one of the best tours I’ve ever had. The communication with Kai travel was also excellent. They texted us pick up times, our driver got us to Antonio without issue and picked us up no problem. Highly highly recommend this group. Job very well done.

This tour was simply amazing! Denis was so knowledgeable and friendly. He took us down to the Forum and showed us several ruins and gave us context regarding the history so we could fill in the gaps. He came prepared with an iPad full of pictures to help explain and give us a pictural idea of what the Forum looked like and how the people of the time used the city center. It was very interesting and informative. Then we walked to the Coliseum with no wait at all. Again, Denis took us to see the views and explained the architecture, how the Coliseum was used. We learned a lot about the gladiators and the way of life of those who came here for viewing and entertainment in the sport of their time. Denis also talked about the current Gladiator movie and the differences. We hadn't seen the new movie, but we know how movies can be so different from the truth of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It was a good blend of walking, seeing, and listening. The history was very informative, but not too much to take in, as some tours can be. Denis also offered to capture pictures of our family as we posed near all of the ruins. We learned so much and left with a newfound appreciation of these sites. Thank you Denis, we will definitely refer you to friends and family who travel to Rome in the future!
