Both guides fron Gladiator tours were excellent, they new how to convey the information and took pride in conveying the history and you could feel there interest and deep knowledge of the subjects they discussed. Well done and Thank you.
Really great and professional staff!! Great service and good location. Good prices totally recommended
The fact that there was no respect for the building in the mediaval ages. A that all the stone was stolen.
Gladiator Tours sold us tickets for tour on a day they were closed. We were charged 90 euros. I have contacted the company for refund but have not heard back. We have reported this as a scam to Visa. When booking tickets the system had us select a date and tour time. I also received a booking confirmation and was very surprised when we showed up to a closed office/meeting point. Working with credit card company to receive refund since I can't get a reply for company.
We had Sylvia as a guide and found d her to be a very informative, pleasant, funny and wonderful guide. I would recommend her any day of the year. Thoroughly enjoyed it
Your never happened and it seems because of Viator fault. Very disappointing considering that we had only 2 days in Rome. Unprofessional and bad customer service from Viator side.
During our visit we decided to go for the full experience and booked a tour with Gladiator Tours. Our first guide, a very friendly woman of which I unfortunately can’t recall her name, showed us around the impressive Colosseum. She provided us with so much information but with a passion , it was never dull to listen to her. Our second part of the tour through palatine hill and Forum Romanum was done by an very energetic and awesome guy, with unfortunately a name which I can’t recall aswel. He mentioned he also responded to beardy or dude. He also told with allot of passion and energy and surely knew what he was talking about. Both guides stood open for questions and answered with great and clear responses. They both engaged with the group. So if you’re thinking of booking a tour I’d really recommend these guys!
If you have ever been to Rome, you would know that touring is quite a busy affair due to the crowds and lines. We booked an amazing tour with Suzi as our guide. During the wait to get into the Colosseum and Roman Forum, Suzi gave us the most informative tour in such a fun way! Only someone with a passion for history can pull off what she did. She was willing to answer any question we threw at her. Big value for money! When in Rome, please head to Gladiator Tours, and ask for Suzi! You will not be disappointed! Thank you Suzi for such a wonderful day spent at the Colosseum and Roman Forum!
The coliseum tour was nice, allowing us a bit of time at the end to explore for ourselves the monument (although not much time). The highlight of the tour however was meeting our second guide for the Palatine Hill/ Roman forum section, Radu. He recounted to us the history of the area in great detail, with a delivery that made it both enjoyable and interesting. It was definitely a tour unlike any other, and is something that I would love to experience again.
First time in Rome, 6 people family (2 parents, 4 children aged 11, 7, 5 and 3), we did not book tickets on time and decided to purchase a guided-tour to skip the line. It is fairly more expensive, but it's worth its price. The first part of the tour, in the Colosseum, it was very crowded but the headphones system works very well and the guide (sorry I forgot his name) was nice, knowledgeable and funny. The enjoyed a lot the second part in the Roman Forum, thanks to Radu, an amazing guide and "History Lover". Even our kids, who do not understand much of English, had fun. This is simply the kind of person who loves so much what he does that you cannot have a bad experience. Go get a ticket at Gladiator Tours, and if you're luck you'll meet Radu!
We took the 2.5 tour to the colosseum with Gladiator tours. The tour started 45 minutes late. The reception was not professional. The guide (Karin) didn't provide enough information, mostly trivial facts that any one can read in the internet.
We walked up and were in the line for tickets when we were offered the chance to get Skip the Line tickets with a tour. With an expected wait of over 90 minutes, we decided to do it knowing that it would be a professional guide. Our inside the Colosseum guide was Marko. Very knowledgeable and good at bringing up interesting points of history and the Colosseum. That part of the tour lasted about 45 minutes. He then set us on our own and told us when and where to meet Radu, our Forum guide. Radu is one of the most animated guides I have ever seen. Amongst other bits of information (including the longest least bloody war, Netherlands v. Italy, 1300s to 1986 or so), but his rendition of the history of Titus is one for the books. Great times with both guides.
There were two guides, one for the colloseum which we bypassed the queues. For this element the tour guide was sufficient but we could have done eith more time in the colloseum but we had to meet the next guide outside for the second part. The second tour guide Radu was exceptional just the type of person to engage you and bring the history to life and present day. Definitely worth purchasing a guided tour to miss the queues (even out of season they were relatively long).
Elaine did an excellent job on the palatine Hill. Colosseum was very short and not worth the money! I had toured the colosseum previously and was disappointed with this guide. I could have done the tour better!
We had purchased the Colosseum Skip the Line Guided Tour for our family of five but due to train delays arrived an hour after our scheduled tour and also missed the last tour scheduled at 12:30 pm. Their onsite staff had tried contacting us earlier when we failed to arrive. After trying with other tour companies, the staff were able to confirm us on another tour that afternoon and even escorted us to the Colosseum to meet up with them at no additional cost. They certainly went over and above to ensure we were taken care of! Thank you!
Silvia excellent guide good at explaining and very nice. Next time I will ask again about her I will recommend her to any person who wants to do the usual tour
Thank you very much Francis to find a place to visit the Colosseum, Palatine forum and Roman forum. You explained the pickup point and exit very well and then see the forums. Very friendly and professional. The tour has been super cool and interesting, exciting!! Since I may not value this experience to the fullest, I advise everyone.
We had not been able to buy tickets online skip the line and now resigned to see the Colosseum from outside. Right in the square in front of us we were approached by a gentleman who, after proposing the tour, took us directly to our guides. After the standard security checks we entered the Colosseum and immediately after into the Roman forums. The guides were very professional and passionate in explaining to tourists even with the help of personal earphones so they always hear perfectly despite the many tourists present. We paid 35 euros each, so I would say very good comparing prices online. Given the good Service I would suggest the improvement of the approach with tourists. I will not hide that being proposed by a person without uniform or badge I immediately thought the worst or a possible scam. Good Service anyway. Would recommend it.
We made the tour with Titi, she was exceptional! It is Italian but has a fluent English, the communication was very nice. He gave us a great idea of how the Coliseum was working and also details that we no longer remembered about the political and social situation of Rome at that time! We really liked it and definitely recommend the Enterprise and the guide to everyone! Palatine hill and the forum are also indispensable!! Very nice script.
