The Colosseum and Roman Forum are must sees in Rome. Experiencing the sites with Sabrina - an experienced archeologist - was incredible. Discussion was detailed, and the details brought the Colosseum alive! Professional, personal and so knowledgeable, Sabrina described the Colosseum and Roman Forum in such detail, it was like you were there in the time (she also had artist sketches). The Arena level add-on allowed you a ground floor view of the massiveness of the Colosseum and a close look of the underground area from above. Having booked 7 tours directly with LivTours, they communicated effectively throughout the process and confirmed the tours. I highly recommend this tour and Sabrina as your guide.

We had a top notch experience touring the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Roman Forum on our recent trip to Italy. The meeting spot was easy to find, organized, and on time. What made our small group experience was definitely our tour guide, Andrew (Andy). He was easy to understand and made learning about the history so much fun!! I must say, I typically have not been an ancient-Rome history guy. But Christiano brought the Roman Forum to life for me. He was extremely knowledgeable and conversational, and I appreciated the breaks he gave us to take pictures and talk amongst ourselves. All the pre-tour communication about where to meetup was easy to follow as well. This was an A+ tour in my books

This tour was amazing, awe-inspiring and unforgettable! Our guide Fabrizio was friendly and knew everything - GREAT JOB! The Coliseum and surrounding Forum temples statues, roads and arches display the best of Roman history. Also, Fabrizio saw we were nervous about return time to the train, but he completed tour and then personally escorted us back to Roma Trini. Without him we would have been lost for sure and missed the train - THANK YOU FABRIZIO!

Highly recommend this semi private tour. There was a total of 5 plus our very informative tour guide. I do not think we would have gotten as much out of it if we did a large tour. This was a phenomenol experience!!!

Everything went smoothly and efficiently from start to finish. Our guide, David, was terrific! Having a guide at such a magnificent historical site is an absolute must. With so many entrances, security checkpoints, and different areas to navigate, having someone who knows the way makes the entire experience much easier and more enjoyable. David also pointed out fascinating details and important features that we might otherwise have missed. A helpful note about arena access: The special entrance to the arena floor takes you onto a platform overlooking the lower level of the Colosseum. It does not take you into the underground chambers, where the animals and gladiators were once held. However, you do get a wonderful close-up view of those fascinating structures. Access to the arena floor is limited to 15 minutes, but we found that to be enough time to take photos, appreciate the incredible architecture, and admire the underground area from above. A truly memorable experience, and one I highly recommend!

This tour was absolutely fantastic and easily one of the best tours I’ve ever experienced! From the small group size to our incredible guide, everything exceeded our expectations. The length of the tour was perfect, allowing us to fully appreciate everything without feeling rushed. One of the highlights was exploring the Colosseum arena floor and standing so close to where gladiators and wild animals once stood. Looking up at the Colosseum from that perspective was truly breathtaking! The Roman Forum was equally impressive. Our guide helped us visualize what the ancient ruins once looked like, connecting the history and architecture in a way that made everything come alive. So glad we booked this tour! It was our first time in Rome and definitely wanted to do the typical touristy things. Serena was amazing! Her name means "good weather" in Italian and it definitely helped LOL she was very knowledgeable and funny, which added in some light humor for the tour. If you're like us and are interested in Ancient Roman history, along with beautiful ruins, this tour is a must! You also get to skip the very, very, very long line.

Today we had a magnificent 3 hour tour of the Colosseum, the Arena & Ancient Rome! Our tour guide Ralph (aka Thomas) was superb, thank you :) Thomas had a depth of knowledge that enabled us to envisage life in the Colosseum and Ancient Rome!!! The tour was well paced, enabling us to absorb all the information and history that surrounded us and was shared by Thomas. The group size of six (6) was perfect, we were all able to connect well with our guide. Excellent communication from LivTours throughout the whole process. Well worth the cost, would definitely recommend this tour and we would use LivTours again! :)

An absolutely lovely tour! Alessandra is an absolute gem, and very knowledgeable about Roman History. She made the tour of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum very interesting and educational. She answered any questions we had and was very sweet. We also had a guest that had a little bit of difficulty with walking so she made sure to accommodate his pace and point out any easier paths to follow. That is very considerate and I think that's so important in a city like Rome as the waking does take a toll on one’s feet. Speaking of, make sure to wear GOOD shoes while taking this tour as the Forum had a lot of cobblestones that were uneven or very spaced out. October is still very crowded but the tour was able to move along at a good pace. Overall it was a fantastic experience and highly recommend.

Good tour. Well run and organized. Our guide was friendly, accommodating but was not as thorough as some of the other tours we had. Make sure you ask them for more time in the colosseum. We were there for a short time and missed the photo opt.
