If I could give NO stars I would. My husband booked this tour as a surprise for my cousin and I who were taking a girls trip. After booking the tour and getting the confirmation, which included the tickets. I received a phone call at 4 AM telling me the tour was over sold and they DO NOT have capacity for me. My option was to book at 2 pm, which conflicted with another engagement or book a private tour for an additional $500. After speaking with multiple people, Vistor did not manage their vendor well. I was only given a partial refund when the company canceled on me. After calling again to complain about that, the representative lied stating I agreed to a partial refund. Where on what planet would that be acceptable????? The level of refund professionalism and customer service was lacking. Clearly you can’t depend on what you find on the site or the availability. I caution every customer when using this service. They are the worse.
The information our tour guide provided - Gina from Barcelona was fantastic . She worked around the weather so we didn’t get wet and kept the whole 2.5 hours interesting

I would preface this with the description that myself and my girlfriend are very relaxed when it comes to slow service and chaos, however this experience was quite disappointing to be honest. The organisation was sub-par: it said to meet people in purple t shirts (who were there) however the stress when realising that the company on the booking didn't match the company looking at tickets was quite alarming. Similarly, the tour group was WAY too big (about 40). We thought it would split up and be two groups, but we did not. The whole tour around the colloseum was rushed, and left a rather sour taste in our mouths. I would review the rest of the tour, but we left after about 45 minutes as we felt that we weren't even looking at the colosseum, we were just rushing around it. The guide however, was lovely, and she boosted the rating up a star, but for what you pay (about 60 quid) I was very disappointed. My advice: join the tour to get in quickly (though not much faster) and then leave promptly so you can look around in your own pace and then see the forum and palatine Hill. A real shame.
Very disorganized. Was called the night before and told to be there an hour earlier got there an hour early they didn’t have my reservations. Then had to call someone else. Finally, found it. The hen was told oh you have to check in later. Checked in later went to the ladies room and they left us. We had to catch up. Tour guide spoke English but it wasn’t clear.
Wow, Alessandro truly knew his stuff and shared freely. Would absolutely recommend, felt my limited knowledge was expanded, by someone who gave freely and was truly enthused by his subject. Could not be more pleased and grateful x

Our tour guide, Sandra, was spectacular! She was so knowledgeable and passionate of the Italian history. She was also very considerate and full of energy! Would definitely come back to one of her tours.
Best experience. We felt it was perhaps the best tour we have ever been on, mainly due to our guide, Vasco (I hope that's how you spell it!) who is an archeologist and was incredibly informative. Amazing. One of the top highlights of a month- long trip.

The tour itself turned out to be fantastic. However, the experience trying to find the tour guide was awful. According to our instructions from our tour operator called “The Tour” (poorly chosen name), we were supposed to meet them wearing purple shirts. The only people who were wearing purple shirts at the very busy site outside the Colloseo were with a tour operator called “Crown Tours”. I approached a guy from this group. He saw that my tour operator’s name was “The Tour”. He immediately said they were not the group I was looking for. So we spent the next 20 minutes looking for “The Tour”. We could not find any such group. And no one else was wearing purple shirts. I called the phone number for “The Tour”. They never answered. We thought we had missed the tour because the meeting time had passed. Then I texted “The Tour” but didn’t receive a response immediately. Then I tried to talk to another guy from “Crown Tours”. He was more helpful than the first one and made some calls. Right then I received a text back from “The Tour” saying I should look for his colleagues with the purple shirts with a company called “Crown Tours”. At that point the Crown Tours guy said that “The Tour” was one of the groups they collaborated with and helped out. I asked them why their first guy had no idea about that. They didn’t have an answer. I said if you know you are collaborating with another tour group you should not be sending people who are looking for that tour group away. Again they had no good answer. We did ultimately get to join the Crown Tours group. The tour guide was good. But both the first Crown Tours guy who sent us away and “The Tour” company should be given a fail for their service. The first Crown Tours guy should have known about their deal with “The Tour”, and “The Tour” operator should have told us right off the bat that we should be looking for a group called “Crown Tours”. There was no reason why they left out that very important information.
Unfortunately, with the large crowds it was difficult to hear our guide. Also, the group of 24 seemed too large, because if we became separated by more than 15 feet, the audio would stop working. I think groups of 12 should be the maximum size.
Wonderful, knowledgeable and insightful tour guide Laora - group was a little big but didn’t affect the tour.
This tour left right on time with 25 people in our group. The guide was very knowledgeable and responsive. His directions in any crowded areas were very clear. The headsets worked well to allow us to hear all he said. We never had to wait in any long lines - just entered easily and quickly.

To be fair, it was a very crowded time of year. However, we waited in a line for 45 minutes (for "skip the line"). Our tour guide was very knowledgeable but several people had to leave early because the tour was much longer due to the long wait to get in.
This tour was a great experience for myself and my family, our tour guide Alessie was great. Highly recommend it - note there is a lot of walking

The best experiences anyone ever can expect with guided tour. Our 24 members tour guide was amazing explaining critical histories and evolving stories about Roman heritage and ancient stories including lot of questions from the guests. I hope he is compensated for his well structured and knowledge to share with tourists. Compare to this experience our June 15 Vatican tour was horrible and I reported to you Viator and you all should not be charging for the services that we did not get.
Great tour - we skipped all the lines and our guide, Helena, was a wealth of knowledge. We could have gone on our own, but we would have walked away without knowing and understanding everything that happened during that time.
You know the tour is great when it pours with rain in the middle and you don’t care. The guide brought Ancient Rome to life in an unvarnished fashion that balanced the glory and the horror.

Excellent tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. There is definitely a lot of walking so picking the right footwear is important. Our guide did a nice job keeping all of us together and sharing great information along with pictures.
We had booked this tour to see all three destinations however due to an event on outside colosseum lots of Roads were closed and the tour guides did not know hot to get through which meant we spent 2 hours going various directions in the hot weather and ending up Not seeing Roman forum or palentine hill. We made it to colosseum in the end but so disappointing as I feel this could have been avoided. I do not think the tour should have taken place if they knew this event was on and issues with getting to the locations. Or at least been organised to find alternative routes. Spending the couple hours not getting anywhere was frustrating , could have rather have been spent ourselves going elsewhere and then coming back to colosseum for the time slot as we were only in time for 2 days. To then only get £17.71 refund was disappointing also as it could have been avoided.
