Make sure you book the entrance at the colosseum way in advance. It can save you a lot of money! But overall since it was last minute, it was worth it and helpful. The audio guide that you can download on your phone let you be free to roam in the colosseum at your own pace. And don’t underestimate the Roman forum!!! Beside being beautiful is humongous!

This is a great tour if you want to explore the Colosseum at your own pace and don't like large group tours like I do. I really appreciate a tour like this and enjoyed it immensely.

MAJOR buyer beware: There is no guarantee of ticketed admission even though the listing says it is included. I bought these after spending hours scouring for available tickets to the Colosseum on our trip dates two months before the trip (when our family confirmed we wanted to go to the Colosseum). The listing says they will send the tickets to the Colosseum via email the day before the specified date and that the virtual ticket Viator sends is not for admission into the Colosseum. Instead, I get an email the day before (yesterday) from this vendor saying they were unable to provide tickets to the Colosseum, that they will refund us, and then send a complimentary audio tour to apologize for the trouble. 1) i never got an official email confirmation from Tripadvisor/Viator of a refund initiated after receiving this message from the vendor via the Tripadvisor platform. I had to call the customer service phone number for Tripadvisor and talk to an actual customer service agent to initiate the refund 2) i never received their complimentary audio tour 3) now I have to waste my entire day waiting in a physical line in front of the colosseum when I had already spent hours before then trying to avoid this EXACT scenario.

It was partly my fault as I did not fully understand the Virtual Tour aspect. I thought it was a guided tour with audio. We did not have any headsets and had to get management involved at the colosseum. Had trouble obtaining tickets. We also had trouble with guide app. It kept dropping signal and we couldn't sync up with where we were. We gave up and simply walked around. I have to say it was the worst tour experience. Never again. I want my money back but no refunds
