Castel Sant’angelo: Ticket With Optional Vatican & Pantheon

This experience was fine. You are essentially paying double to bypass the ticketing line. If you would like to save the money just buy the tickets directly.

Well we didn’t know we didn’t have a tour guide, there was no one to meet us. There was no explanation for the two places went. I personally think you should refrain from doing tours to castel s’angel because if you are not willing to go and explain , then we can get our own things

I highly recommend this experience if you’re tight on time. The queue was very long and I wouldn’t have been able to squeeze in the Castel without it. Valeria was fantastic - friendly, punctual and incredibly helpful. Highly recommend!

Provider never showed up with tickets and never responded to messages or calls! Do not book this! Book woth Crown tours.. they are reliable and wait at the site all day!!

Sofia explained well of what's in for us for this ticket. No guided tour but it's easy to get the ticket from them. They waited for us Infront of the castle

This process was way more difficult and stressful than it needed to be, ranging from an indecipherable online voucher download process to incorrect instructions for meeting the representative that had our tickets. It worked out in the end, albeit after a 40 minute delay (stressful - entries are, ostensibly at least, timed) but it was not relaxing

Amazing views and really cool stories about this Castle. Some of the best views in Rome. Don’t feed the pigeons or be near people who are feeding them.

Better than expected, the castle is impressive. A must do when near the Vatican. Try to get an entry time late afternoon so you can catch the sunset over the St Peter's basílica, breathtaking. Martina is great! 🙂

No audio guide was provided. Had to download pop guide app. The app did not work, audio in and out, difficult to follow. Would have been better to get audio guide from castels'angelo.

Tour agent ran a little late into the 15 minute early window. Pre-tour data did not indicate need to be proficient in I-phone operations or to bring headset equipment compatible with phone. Very clumsy. Thought we would have been better buying tickets at the gate. Museum and wall panel presentations were well done and worth seeing.

We walked straight into the Castel although it was not particularly busy. Really interesting place to visit. Lots of rooms to visit. The highlight of the trip for me were the views on Rome and of St Peter’s Basilica from the terraces of the Castel.

Touristation process was extremely difficult. One person available under the orange umbrella and while we appreciated her efforts, the process to redeem the barcoded voucher was very clumsy. Instead of simply scanning the barcode, they have to send an email or use what’s app to then show inside the castle. So while it states that you will bypass the line, our experience was waiting 45 minutes in the heat and Sun while us and others attempted to work through the silly process. We think improvements need to be made.

The castle is a must see in Rome. Make sure you go all the way to the top of the castle because the views are spectacular! The Pantheon was also awesome! Now for the 3 star rating- booking this experience as a tour together was a huge problem. After visiting the castle, we went to the Pantheon and they told us we had already used our tickets. After two trips between the Rome Tourstation office trying to explain our situation they finally fixed it, but at that time we had 15 minutes to see the Pantheon. Viator has been a great booking experience, but this tour booking was a fail.

Audio guide was great. Could go at your own pace to see rooms and take photos of surroundings and castle sections

The castle was very interesting and the audio tour was very informative but the staff didn’t really take the time to explain how it worked so you were left to figure it out yourself, but apart from that it was very enjoyable

Skip the line visit i would highly recommend especially during peak times as the other queue was extremely long and not really moving

This booking was only for the fast track tickets. The instructions of the meeting place were very clear and I had no issues finding the person that had our tickets.

Go on a nice day, the view is great. The audio guide is helpful, and signs are in English. The collection is very interesting, particularly the story of the Archangel.

Unfortunately. We entered from the wrong entrance as no one was there to tell us where to enter. The app therefore was useless. That said this site is definitely worth seeing. I think u should have a live guide who can tell you the history.

We walked right past the line with our vouchers. The only reason for less than 5 stars is because staff told me my teens would be admitted free if I had reserved with the museum directly. First time something like this has happened, and I've been using TripAdvisor regularly for several years. The attraction itself was amazing, my kids' favorite thing in Rome!

I liked this since we were on our own. It’s neat to see but it’s perfect for the views on top. We had just visited Hadrians Villa so it had a connection to something else

We could not properly access the info on our phones & did not have the proper head phones or ear pods to listen. We walked & read & enjoyed the castle.

I have been to Rome a couple times and for one reason or another never had this experience. There was nothing overly exciting. However, it was worth the entrance fee and time. The views and grounds were fun to see and explore.

Spectacular! Was skipped the line and all organized. The castel is just spectacular! A lot of stairs and walking but amazing!

Don't be shy about exploring. Read all signs. They help explaining museum artifacts. The roof top view was breath taking. I thought the statue of archangel Michael was cool.

If you want an unguided tour with a push button device to explain different locations in the castle, this is the no frills version for you.

So glad we managed to find time to see Castel Sant Angelo this trip. Interesting history and great views. Checkin was easy and the audio guide added nicely to the experience.

We were not told in advance that we needed an audio app. The internet was not working and. We couldn’t down load the app to use on our visit. The guide told us we could rent an audio device inside. That was a Lie and the guide didn’t care that our experience was going to be a huge disappointment

Great historical location with many artifacts and art to see. Beautiful view from the top, of Rome and the Vatican.

Castel Sant'Angelo offers an amazing opportunity to experience all of the history of the building and to appreciate the way it has adapted to human needs. It began as Hadrian's tomb and was adapted as a safe haven for Popes during the wars with France. It was used by armies and a celebration of fireworks commemorating the intervention of ST. Michael to end the plague. I highly recommend a visit but be prepared to walk and climb your way to the top !

A really good experience. It starts out with the rough rocks from more than a thousand years ago. You go up this round ramp going around the building then come out to a terrace and rooms with history of the building and rooms used by the Vatican. The views from the top are spectacular.

Horrible experience with Touriststation Roma!!! The workers are highly unfriendly,highly unprofessional and highly rude!!!!!Never ever again!!!!Don’t do the same mistake and go somewhere else!!!!

**Don't walk to the gate, the tour host is outside by the bridge with your tickets.** This was a self guided tour with skip the line. There really wasn't a bad line for the people buying tickets on site, maybe 15 minutes. I'm sure I could have booked this on my own for half the cost since the tour company really didn't provide any added benefits except convenience
