Our very pleasant guide told us many fascinating facts about the Museum and Crypt of the Cappuccini in a concise way and also answered all our questions. We enjoyed our visit and learned a lot.

It is very interesting but quite macabre the way the bones, skulls etc are displayed. Would not recommend for younger children. The story behind it was very interesting. Never seen anything like it before though quite eerie.
Self-guided tour with audio. Very easy to use. Lots of wonderful historical information about the Capuchin Order. We stayed about an hour, so the price may have been a little steep for the amount of time we spent there. But a definitely unique experience. Well worth the stop.
We really enjoyed our tour of the Capuchin crypts. Our guide did a fantastic job of explaining everything and did not over do it. This tour you actually see the skeletons unlike the catacomb tours. Definitely recommend the tour.
Very cool to see! I had no clue what this was and the audio was good enough. A person of course would be better but a very small area so personal opinion.
We booked with Trip Advisor and received ticket confirmation however when we arrived the ticket we had wasnt what they were looking for. We should have been whatsapped but we were not however a quick phonecall and we were verified. You receive an audio guide and every picture in museum has a number that when input into audio you were told what it was. The crypt itself was something else. Between 3700-4000 remains of past Monks are diaplayed in various ways, even the light shades are made from remains. Make sure shoulders and knees are covered as is a holy place
Very interesting museum. Definitely worth the visit and great with the audio guide too! Very cool experience
It was incredible! I’ve seen the other crypts before and wasn’t as impressed as seeing the Capucchin Monks. I did the express version which was cheaper and by far the best option! Express all the way. So easy and an amazing experience
Nice experience. Great audio to learn at my pace. Very Interesting. Beautiful designs. I would recommend.
This place gives the chills! Too bad it's not opened at night... Audio guide is a bit boring, with voices that are way too "happy". Doesn't get you in the mood it should.
This was an hour long tour into the Capuchin monastery and then into the bone crypts It's not as creepy as you would think! Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us detailed information on some of the artifacts in the monastery as well as the crypts themselves. Great tour!
Very interesting visit to this museum. Incredible displays of the crypts as well as so much information. Must cover up shoulders and knees as its a holy place, you can purchase a cover up at ticket booth if you need. Spent about 45 mins here.
Very interesting experience staff at site friendly and helpful
A little overpriced for what it is, especially since I think purchasing tickets directly at the box office would have been less expensive. The audio guide was informative and very easy to follow, but the museum portion is much more extensive and time-consuming than the actual catacombs. I was mainly interested in the catacombs themselves and expected to learn more about their history, cultural significance, and the customs or beliefs behind them. Instead, much of the experience focused on the monastery and Capuchin order, while the catacombs felt more like viewing an elaborate art installation made with human remains than exploring a historical burial tradition. It was definitely interesting and a little creepy, but not quite as historical or educational as I had hoped.
It was a good learning experience for adults and kids. We learned so much. We are glad to find this in our search of what to do with the family.
We did the audio tour & found it to be very interesting. The audio tour allowed us to go at our own pace. The tour was also a very nice break from the heart wave.
What a unique experience. My kids were shocked at the end with the various displays, and it was really interesting to read all of the information about the crypts. This is less attended than many of the other tours, but worth the price of admission, for sure!
We booked an audio tour through the crypts. It was incredible. The audio guide was insightful and informative. The crypts themselves were absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend this experience. They do request that your shoulders and knees are covered out of respect so bare that in mind while dressing.
wonderful and interesting! audio guide really helpful and easy to use. was clear (the voice) and provided interesting information.
Most of this experience is a museum about the monks. The section with the stunning bone chapel is at the end. The audio tour is highly recommended as it provides a great explanation of what you are seeing and its meaning. The bone chapel is a shorter segment than I expected but absolutely worth the trip. Its warm in the museum and cooling the crypt. If you have entry tickets, go right to the ticket booth. There were no signs with the line. Well worth it, a different experience than other aspects of Rome. Both of my youn teenage sons enjoyed.
This tour was amazing. Our guide was terrific - very informative, respectful and funny all at the same time.
Easy access, they took us early. Its an audio on your own which was great devices provided. Went at our own pace
Amazing history and bone art I didn’t know existed ! The museum before the actual crypt is worth paying attention to. It explains the reason behind the monks existence.
The first portion of this tour involves a history lesson through a self guided audio headset. You learn about the reason behind the bone church and then you enter the bone church. The bone church was a unique experience and you are allowed to take photos. I would not bring children here.
You do not really go into crypts but rooms decorated with bones. More like an exhibition. One room after another and you just follow the line of visitors
Under an hour at own pace with audioguide. Booked through Viator so had no wait time. Very interesting tour.
Wasn’t sure what to expect, but was worth going. Museum with audio guide was interesting in understanding the background to it all and then the crypts were amazing but also very strange that people decided to make art with lots of dead bodies. Somewhere you can spend an hour or two if you have spare time.
The Museum experience ahead of seeing the actual crypts was excellent. Well displayed with excellent English translations of case labels. The crypts were fascinating and the audio tour was nicely done. A truly unique experience.
Cheaper to pay on the door - don’t need to pee book a time . I booked on line and it cost 42e when at the church it was 10e each
The guide never showed up. We went to the ticket counter and they let us in. Thankfully Viator refunded us. Other than that the place is eerily cool. The self audio guide is very good and worth listening to. Would recommend this excursion.
Lots of steps to entrance, someone with mobility issues may struggle. Very interesting self audio that gives you the time to look at everything at leisure. Not to be rushed, excellent value for money. Humbling. Would very much advise a visit if into things like this
I gotta say that the staff here was so friendly and kind. I forgot that I needed my shoulders covered so I wore a tank top. They provided me with a little disposable cover and were not judgmental about it. It was also difficult for me to access my ticket and they didn’t get inpatient with me and found my name in their system after some investigating. The site itself is quite a bizarre marvel. They have a museum to pass through first to learn about the capuchin monks which was really interesting.
Incredible experience with a very small group. I'd say this is must see for Rome. I do wish we'd had more of an opportunity to view the museum, it was very much a guided whistle stop tour.
Great tour showing the history of the Capuchin Crypts. Would highly recommend this tour if there is any interest in this history!
Short and sweet. A great tour. The tour guide was funny and our group was a small, intimate size. Would recommend
Did not feel this ticket was worth the price the line wasn’t that long and the tickets we received were not able to be scanned by the staff so we had to wait additional time anyway- just go and buy tickets there
It was just ok, at best. For me personally, it was a waste of time but if you’re looking to fill a gap or maybe occupy your family go for it. It’s definitely not something I would recommend going out of your way to do.
Very easy and short visit to the Crypt. Highly recommend this booking as it was easy to organise and we were able to skip a long queue.
This museum provoked conflicting emotions. It is somewhat disturbing while also interesting. Highly recommend, especially for the philosophically minded. I also highly recommend a private tour to know and understand what you are viewing.
I went because I'm really interested in such things but it was not at all what I expected. First of all, it is not subterranean. Secondly it very, very small. The entire thing barely lasted 10 minutes. I don't think I'd have gone if I'd known.
This is my third time going. I went in 1973, then 2023 and then yesterday. One of the best things to see in Roma, and there are SO many things to see! Though I feel badly for Italy. Tourists are invading their beautiful country. Unfortunately I am one too😜
Very informative and the museum is phenomenal. Actual Carravaggio painting!! The children seemed to be enjoying it.
Slobodan was an absolute gent. Very informative, courteous and funny. The crypts themselves are fantastic but he pointed out a lot of details we would have completely missed, which made it totally worth it
Didn't catch the tour guides name, he was very good though, said he was a last minute replacement. Stories were told with some humour, not everyone's cup of tea but I appreciated it. Tour was less than an hour, would have been nice to have a bit more time in the museum itself before going into the crypts. The crypts themselves were amazing, whether you are religious or not quite an experience!
Really interesting place but the tour is a rip off. Buy tickets at the venue and you get a free audio guide. Tour definitely not worth it. Fascinating place but you get rushed through on the tour, no time to read any of the information or take it all in. Save yourself a lot of money and buy direct
A nice tour. Some difficulties with receiving the tickets. The ticket we received on email was not a ticket readable at the entrance. They apparently sent a separate WhatsApp ticket that I never received. It took about 10 minutes to resolve that issue.
Learned alot about the monks and Christianity itself on this tour as I'm a history person. The crypto and history behind the skeletons was very much worth this tour. Great experience.
Very interesting but I as a little shocked how many bones there were. Church was beautiful with many paintings
It was a very interesting and informative tour. The audio tour was quite good. It moves at a good pace.
The tour guide was hilarious. He was knowledgeable and engaging with the group. He was able to explain all the subtle and hidden details within the crypts. We learned so much in such little time ( about 1 hour). Highly recommend for someone looking for a shorter tour, but it is well worth it.
