Virginia is an extraordinarily entertaining guide. Her knowledge of the history and collection in the gallery, interactive teaching style, effervescent personality… she should host her own series!

Highly recommend this beautiful gallery!! Located in a lovely park and highly worth the experience to view their collections. The tour guide explained the details in the work which made them even more fascinating
Very informative tour, however the guide was giving a lot of info at a very fast pace, without engaging much with the group, so it was a bit overwhelming as she was Italian and it was a bit difficult to understand everything she said in English. She was clearly super knowledgeable but it would be good to maybe give a bit more history of the borghese family and the villa and a bit less about the artworks. Just to make it more digestible and better flow.
This 2 hour visit surpassed my expectations. Time sped by with our guide Sylvia providing deeply insightful commentary and managing the group with humour and courtesy. There wasn't a question she couldn't answer. The sculptures and art are beautiful and the whole experience was a joy - something we would have missed without the pre-purchased skip-the line tickets.
Have made dozens of trips to Italy and somehow managed not to pre-arrange the Borghese on any of the trips - until now! Under the simply brilliant guidance of Virginia, Borghese far and away my favorite small museum, and this tour was among my favorite art tour ever. Very grateful to this operator for the positive experience.
Really appreciated how our guide got us to the highlights of this gallery while avoiding the majority of crowds. Loved his insights into the statues and paintings, certainly knowledge I would have missed otherwise. Just about the perfect length of time for me.
I was SO lucky to get the last spot! This place sells out fast and for a good reason! Not to be missed on your trip to Rome. Our guide knew more about art than anyone I ever met and she was fantastic! The Bernini's!!!!!
The tour started right on time, and the meeting point was easy to find. Clarisse was wonderful—knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke excellent English. She did a great job focusing on the most important and impressive works in the gallery. The Borghese Gallery itself is absolutely amazing, although two hours goes by very quickly! Highly recommend this tour and Clarisse!
Great tour and knowledge guide. Meet up was easy, as was catching an Uber back to Termini. Tip - Bags of any size are not allowed and will be stored. In hindsight, I would have carried a wallet on a string so I could have worn it inside. The museum's bag drop was not secured.
Our guide Zenda was great - clear, enthusiastic, super encouraging of questions, and a great navigator of finding a less crowded room and circling back when needed. Easy to hear. Meeting point easy to find. Garden was a treat! My original tour (with another company) for the day before was canceled and I found 1 ticket for this one the next day - I'm so glad I did as it was definitely worth seeing.

When we first arrived there was no entrance signage It was raining and lots of people gathered by the entrance doorway / staircase and it was chaotic, especially finding our tour guide. Overall the gallery and the experience being there was very good. Our tour guide was ok. She spoke too fast and her English accent was tough to understand at times. The ear buds they provided were not that good, especially with all the background noise. If I had to do it over again, I would still visit the gallery but skip the tour guide. I didn’t feel it was worth the cost.
Excellent tour. The gallery is amazing and the guide was very knowledgeable.
Amazing guide. A little short on time. I believe this was highlighted as a 2 hour tour. Not really as the last 15 mins you are on your own. I would have like that time to have been with guide, perhaps taking a like more time on essential pieces.
This tour was fantastic. Silvia was a sensational guide who took us around the best parts of the gallery and helped us to understand the significance of the beautiful works of art.
Our guide was wonderful..he told us we would remember him because he was the tallest man in Italy. I learned that artists consider..light..colour..and movement when they execute their works..sculptures.. paintings..mosaics. The guide was excellent at bringing these factors to our attention. He was well versed and very personable. The Borgehese was an fantastic tour.
Victoria was a wonderful guide of the Borghese Galleria. She talked us through the masterpieces in the Galleria and even showed us some of the secrets in the pieces. We had a fantastic time and learned a lot. Thanks Victoria!
Victoria was a wonderful and receptive tour guide to our questions. Highly recommend her!
Victoria was very informative and professional!
Our tour guide, Victoria, was amazing and really knew her art history! My fiance and I were so impressed with the amount of knowledge she had and the stories she shared behind each piece of art. She really made us feel 10 times more appreciative for each piece of art than we would have if we went here without a tour guide. We are not huge art people, but we were completely engaged for the full 2 hours! Definitely would recommend.
Victoria, our guide, was excellent!!!
Excellent tour. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable.
Our Guide. Gabrielle, was so passionate about the artwork in the Borghese gallery. We wanted to go somewhere we hadn’t been to on previous trips to Rome. The Bernini sculptures and Caravaggio paintings are spectacular. And since the gallery is small, you can see it all. Up close and personal. It was great having our own Guide. Rather than just wandering aimlessly. They try very hard to control the crowds with timed entrances. Since we had a late time we thought it would be quieter. It was not. But it was well worth it.
Victoria was a remarkable guide. Deeply knowledgeable about the gallery and the art pieces. She was funny and made the back stories interesting.
This was a beautiful gallery and we had a very good guide. It is a timed entry for a 2-hour tour. The reason I gave four stars is because there was a ticket mix-up in the beginning which cost us 15 minutes of our tour time. That doesn't sound like much but towards the end, we were given 20 minutes to continue to walk around on our own. The guide was good but our tour itself was really only a little over an hour due to Lost Time on the front end.
I booked tickets for Bhorghese Gallery in July to but two weeks before our trip the guide I had booked with said the tickets I have (tickets in my wallet stating ticket) are no longer available and what I have been sent are not tickets I have to pick them up prior to going in the gallery. The only alternative dates offered were when we were arriving or leaving Rome so I had to contact Get your Guide for a refund and pay either a very silly price to get in now as so close to going or just not go. Highly unacceptable and I just feel I was scammed as I paid for a ticket that did not exist. Beware!!
this gallery is magnificent and with a guide that makes it more interesting. You could walk around on your own, but it’s nothing like somebody telling you about it and showing you some of the details that you would never even look at our guide was excellent. I highly recommend this experience
Hands down the best tour we did in Italy. Dimitri, the “tallest tour guide in Italy” (probably true), was absolutely incredible! He provided history, context, and all the helpful info. He knew the museum very well and effectively navigating crowds. Very funny and enthusiastic. We booked this last minute and I am so glad we did! Highly recommend, especially Dimitri. He made the whole experience.
This was the most educational and fun tour! Dmitri, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. We learned so much about Italian history and art. Bonus- it was the perfect activity to do on a very hot day. Highly recommend!
hi, I normally don’t post reviews of anything but my wife and I had a wonderful time at the Borghese recently. I highly recommend this tour because it’s very educational and provides insights into the collection that you could not get any other way. Our tour guide Alicia was passionate about the history of the works of art and awakened us to the beauty of the art at the museum. On a side note, she recommended a great restaurant that we visited twice. Highly recommend this tour- Rob in Massapequa, NY USA
We had a most beautiful time. The art collection was breathtaking. Definitely rivals the Vatican, but on a much more personal scale. You are able to spend time in the gallery and gardens without the insane crowds. Highly recommend. Also, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very personable. Mattea absolutely knew the collection, but more importantly he knew the history of the family. He was a great tour guide and made the experience even better.
Very interesting and informative. The guide was personable and explained the paintings in a story like fashion making it educational and entertaining. Loved also that there was air conditioning inside and an occasional place to sit. The 2 hours went quickly.
We had a wonderful tour of the Borghese Gallery in Rome today at 3pm with Monique, and she was outstanding. Monique was extremely knowledgeable and shared thoughtfully researched information throughout the visit. She clearly knows the collection and its history in depth, and she made the art and stories come alive without ever feeling overwhelming. She was also kind, patient, and had a great sense of humor that made the whole experience enjoyable and relaxed. Highly recommend Monique if you’re looking for a well-informed, friendly, and engaging guide at the Borghese Gallery. Thank you, Monique!
Much better than waiting in a long line. Much to see and plenty of history to engage. It was crowded.
Dimitri was our Guide. He was the best you can imagine. Super nice, so much Knowledge
The Borghese art collection is stunning. Virginia did an amazing job with making the beautiful pieces come to life through explaining the history and significance. Our kids ranged from 11-13 and Virginia kept them all engaged. It is a special place, including the building itself and the surrounding grounds. Would highly recommend!
Wonderful guide and beautiful location
This was fantastic. We ended up as the only people on the tour and the he guide was incredible. It was like a 301 level college art history course complete with riveting storytelling and priceless artworks. Strongly recommend.
Fantastic experiment with our guide. She knew everything about the history of the paintings and sculptures in the gallery and it really helped to greatly enhance our experience. You could tell she enjoyed her job as she’s been a guide for 18+ years and has an art history background so we were in good hands. And better, I lucked out on being in a small group of 5 so we were able to maneuver around the gallery with ease and got any and all questions answered. Easy 5 stars from me!
What a wonderful experience! Matia our tour was extremely passionate about art and his stories were great. What an amazing place! Highly recommended!
Really great tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and amenable to adjusting the speed and priorities of the tour for our groups interests. Very kind. I’d recommend.
Great experience! Our Dimitri was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot!
Our tour guide was Sabrina and she was so knowledgeable of the art in the museum. As an art teacher, I was familiar with the art but still she still had information about it that I didn’t know. However, my husband said he learned to much and was so impressed with everything he learned. Highly recommend!!
Dimitri Pavone was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable about the gallery and art history. His manner was easy and he was easy to listen to.
Our fault, but the instructions weren’t specific enough as to where the Gallery was. We entered at the far north end and it was a15 minute walk traversing the beautiful gardens to get to the far south end where the Gallery was. We almost missed our tour.
Our guide was amazing!! I’m so embarrassed I can’t remember his name. He was so knowledgeable and humorous. He clearly LOVES his job and the Borghese Museum.
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the art in front of us and the history of art that led up the works in front of us.
This was such a great way to see an amazing collection of art. The focus was on the Bernini sculptures and I learned so much. And booking an afternoon tour was a great way to be out of the heat!
This was a long but very educational tour! Our tour guide was engaging and enthusiastic about the museum which made it enjoyable. This is such a hard museum to get tickets to so having a guided tour was worth it to see the highlights. The sculptures were amazing to see some Bernini and Caravaggio works. Inside the museum it is cooler and gets crowded. There is a part with stairs and wait for the elevator for those that need it. Hardly any places to sit so you are standing most of the time. I am glad we got to see this gallery! You can spend a long time otherwise and walk around the area with gardens, bike rides and the zoo is nearby. It is located far off from city center but doable with bus rides.
Our guide was phenomenal!!! She shared so much interesting information about the gallery the pieces and the artists. The time was perfect. It was our first time to the gallery and we loved it.
