Look out. The ticket for the forum and Colleseum only gets you limited entry and no guide. There is also a complicated process to download their app but it’s useless unless you have data roaming. If I went again I would hire a pro at tour and guide. The Vatican tour was however excellent. In the forum you are on your own but there are quite a number of useful information boards.

We received information from Ksenia. She is really knowledgeable and polite and provided us with all the required information.
Sandra was an excellent tour guide and advisor for our trip to the collessium
Amazing experience, informative and helpful Thanks Sandra 🌻
It was really helpful and Sofia help us and she was amazing . She spray 4 different language and explain very well . It was amazing .
The bus driver Allessandro was brilliant and went the extra mile to show us the beauty of the city even outside the center
Excellent service, Sandra was very helpful we will definitely come back next year. She showed us to the old Rome. Amazing
Giorgia is very friendly. She also keep a look out for us for cars and explains to us some of the buildings and festival in Rome.
Georgia was so helpful with directions and all the information we needed! Really straight forward and answered all of our questions. 5 stars!
The staff was very helpfull and I really appreciate the time they spent with me trying to schedule my jo8. Very kind and helpful 🙂
Speifically, Alima Kida was really amazing. She helped us fix a broken reservation, and made sure we have all we need to have a fun travel.
The people at the office are extremely condescending, unprofessional and unhelpful. Are unable to make accommodations and instead of allowing me to leave and pursue booking my excursions independently, approach me with condescension.
Don’t buy their tickets . The audio tour is hard to follow. The sign of the numbers at the sight doesn’t not even match their app. You might just go without the audio tour. Completely waste the money. Get a human guide tour.
DO NOT EVER USE TOURISTATION ARACOELI ROME! We completed all the online forms for our 10:00 am Colosseum tour on 14 March 2025. The day before we got a WhatsApp message instructing us to arrive at 11:00. No problem. When we arrived, the manager, Amanda Minni, told us there was no guide, the Colosseum entry was at 2:00 pm, and we had another booked tour at 10:00 for the City Walking tour!!? We asked how come they instructed us to come at 11:00 and then say we missed the 10:00 am City tour? We asked how we are supposed to be at 2 places at once? And then they requested us to show up at 11:00! Amanda had the most bizarre explanation that was totally fabricated and then tried to blame us! I was getting upset so my wife very politely asked if they would refund our money as this was not our fault. Amanda bluntly said no. I would strongly recommend to never use this disorganized and dishonest tour group.
If you thrive on chaos and confusion, this is your tour company. Complete disarray. The workers were friendly and helpful, but seemed unphased by the lobby stuffed full of tourists waiting to be sent off on their tours. Must be part of the Italian culture and the local tourist industry in Rome. This is a poor way of running a tourist and hospitality business.
A nice way to visit the most important sights of Rome. You visit Coloseum, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and a lot more. Good company
Spectacular service, knew we would not fit it all in as we were only there for 2 days. Missed out on Vatican museum and sitting due to it being the weekend. Arrived late due to flight delays yet nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Made for a perfect anniversary ❤️. Thank you
Viator was a savior. We were able to avoid so many lines in Rome and elsewhere due to the tickets. Some of the private tours were great.
Literally the worst tour company I’ve ever experienced. The ineptitude of staff and the bureaucracy making some very simple complicated is stunning. It really feels like a developing count Ty. Avoid like the plague. Continuously bought skip the line tickets for hundreds of dollars (family of 5)) to stand in 3 hour lines in the heat because our TICKETS DIDN'T HAVE OUR NAMES ON THEM!!! WTF!? You buy the tickets online to have to go to an office and stand in line with hundreds of other people to get your physical ticket. Does that make any kind of sense in 2024? Are they just trying to create jobs? It is like inferno figuratively. Avoid avoid avoid.
Location of the office to redeem tickets is a good bit away from colloseum just beware its a trek if you're new to Rome....
Terrible! First we didn't get to go to the Colliseum. The we walked over to get the tickets and all the way back to the Forum only to find out they have us child's tickets. So we had to walk BACK to get our "adult" tickets. No apology, NOTHING! Wasted half our day!
This is an unethical offering that takes advantage of how opaque and difficult it is to book the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums from abroad as an independent traveler. Someone please help travelers figure out how they can book these tickets in advance without predatory companies like Touristation! We paid $270 for two adults and two kids (5&9) to secure a skip-the-line ticket for the Colosseum at 9:30 am, to be followed the next day by the Vatican Museum (that time was left vague, which should have been a red flag.) Because of the kids, we wanted to see these places at our own pace instead of with a guided tour. The night before the tour, we received a Whatsapp message that the reserved Colosseum time was not available. We would need to go to the Touristation offices near the Vatican and arrange that tour first. Then the next day we would go to the offices not very close to the Colosseum and arrange those tickets. It was a ridiculous waste of time and we ended up standing in 'Touristation' lines instead of lines at the sites. In these offices I saw how many exhausted and enraged customers had been frustrated by this company. Touristation also charged us for our children, who, it turns out, could have gone in free or at a vastly reduced rates at both places. The Touristation employee who helped me shook her head apologetically and agreed when I said it was a scam - that we paid for them to facilitate "the reservation" because we were traveling independent of a tour group.
did not get to see it as they said my voucher was invalid and no refund was given.so we did not get to go on rome tour
No signposting or info as to where to join the queue jumping group. Ended up going to three different offices. I could have purchased advance tickets directly through the Vatican museum website and it would have been quicker to get in - the queue jumping ticket was slower for access. Confusing company - not likely to use again.
Do not book any entrances via this company in Rome! We were pretty ripped off at the touristation roma. We bought the roma pass via booking.com and it said that audio guides were included. In the end all the ticket offices told us that they were not and we wouldn't get one, unless we had a reservation. It was quite frustrating, but we couldn't do anything about it. We also booked castle St. Angelo via touristation and had to pay 23€ per person. When we finally got our ticket, they said 13€. So because of the huge difference, we asked at touristation why we had to pay nearly double the price for the ticket. They became really impolite and a bit aggressive and just told us that this is normal and we shouldn't complain. The employees reacted completely unprofessionally. And 10€ is not a usual provision for providing a ticket of such small amounts. We considered that one to two € would be added, but this was shocking.
Disgusting company. Bought tickets, no explanation how to use the ticket voucher, doesn’t explain how long it lasts, gives you a random address of a ticket collection place no where near the venues. Messages Viator and they didn’t bother replying. Booked the Vatican and it was closed when we got there. Applied for a refund and they said no. Absolute joke of a company. Won’t buy off this site ever again. I would say go to city pass as easy to use!
wonderful experience and amazing guided tour with good audio quality, good value for money! I definitely recommend
Vatican muséum and peter’ basilic top . But Bad trip on stadium dominum, piazza navonne, meeting at 10:00 .. and still closed at 11:15… we are still waiting 😤
this pass is amazing! got everything that i need! the tickets are skip the line so we didn’t wait. we saved a lot of time booking this pass instead of waiting in the line
Considering the size and the age, I will consider it the most iconic attraction of Rome. Yes, are many other interesting and old monuments, but this one is different, and I would say very well maintained by Italian authorities.
I have booked many tours on this site. All were good except and bad experience at Vatican. We had booked this tour after checking that it is wheel chair accessible, as me and my wife are 85 and 80 years old. Although we can walk few distance but not long distance. When we reached office we were not shown the video as mentioned in the tour details and we were not provided with audio guide. So we enquired about the guide. We clearly mentioned that we are two people on wheel chair. The guide was arranged after discussing the wheel chair accessiblilty. The guide at colloseum and Roman forum was indeed very good and very helping. I appreciate her for the knowledge she had and for her very helping behavior. Although it was rough and rocky area but still she helped us and we could visit it very comfortably on wheel chair. She guided us to elevators so that we see all floors of colloseum through top and we really enjoyed the view. We then reached Vatican. Guide was a different person here. We had a very bad experience from this guide at Vatican. She was very arrogant and not willing to listen. Then she agreed to take us along and another guide took us. He knew very well that we had two wheel chairs, yet he made my relatives push the wheel chair all along the steep ramp of five floors at museum in one go, nonstop , although there was a beautiful large elevator there. .!!!! There was good arrangement for wheel chair tourist but our guide didn't mention at all about the elevator route and just left us at stairs asking us to lift the chair and climb stairs. The security guards were very reasonable and caring. They suggested and directed us to elevator and we made our tour on our own by elevator. Thanks to security guards. I just wished guide had told us this and directed us to elevator. Probably the senior female tour operator was worried we would ask for refund if guide doesn't accompany us, so they forced us to push the wheel chair on steep ramp, just to make sure that we leave the group on our own so that they are not liable for refund. It made us feel so disgusted that there were very good elevator arrangements already there, but guide never told this, or directed us to elevators, and watched us struggling pushing the wheel chair on very steep ramp where even a normal healthy person would get tired and panting.
Myself and my boyfriend have been in Rome for one day. Desperate to visit the Vatican after positive feedback from friends my SO was desperate to go. We bought the pass that allows us to ‘skip the queue’ into the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, as well as entry into the Colosseum, Forum and Palatino tomorrow. We purchased the tickets at 13:00 and were told that we would get a free guided tour in the Vatican, which seemed like a good deal. The 13:00 tour had just gone so we were informed that we would have to come back for the one that left at 14:30. We got stickers to wear that had the 14:30 time on and told to return around 15 minutes before the tour left so we wouldn’t miss it. Well there was no problem with us missing it, because it wasn’t until 15:15 until we actually got onto a tour. We were ignored constantly, having others around us with later time stickers taken off on their tours before us. When there was a call for the guided tour at 14:30 I went up to the guide to say that we had been given it as an extra onto our package. She looked me up and down and told me that she was taking the guided tour and we were not on that. When I went to reply she simply muttered something and walked away. I was given no time to show any receipts or even explain that her colleague had given us it. This has left me and my SO feeling that we had either been lied to at the ticket desk or refused a service that we did have included simply because an employee was rude. Either way, it was incredibly disappointing. So we decided to wait until the regular tour set off. Tour after tour went by with us and a few other English speaking travellers, who also had 14:30 stickers, being walked past and completely ignored by the staff. This all happening whilst people with 14:45 and 15:00 stickers were being taken off on their tours. We finally got some attention from staff at 15:10 and were walked down the street to simply stand in clump in the sun - something we had been doing for an hour already! They took my boyfriends name to cover a whole group of 10 people and walked us to the entrance shouting his name. I doubt this was any help to the other people in the group as they didn’t know us. We finally got into the Vatican around 15:20 and my boyfriend was asked to go with the tour guide as well as a child of a random family, as we were told children had to be checked? And my boyfriends name was on their booking so he had to go and confirm his identity. He didn’t make the booking, the company did - so why he had to go and sort this out I do not know. Either way, myself and the mother of this young boy were not happy with them walking off with this tour guide alone, so we went with them. It’s lucky that we did, because as soon as we got the tickets the guide instructed my boyfriend to go a completely different way to where the group was. The guide had abandoned us! We didn’t see the group or the guide for the rest of the day. Terribly disorganised and not worth the money. Hopefully the Colosseum will be much better tomorrow but I’m not confident that it will be. By the time we got out of the Vatican the store had been closed - so there was no way to make a complaint to get some money back. I will be finding an email to make a formal complaint. Don’t bother giving them your money. Make an itinerary and book in advance through the official Vatican website - we wish we had.
We have been there in July 2019. Very interesting site, spectacular view the night - a must see. We recommend it.
We bought the "rome all access pass" to see Rome's most famous architectural buildings. The First day we saw Colosseum, Circus Maximus, Forum Romanum and the Palatinhill. The second day we had a guided tour to see the Vatican museum, the sixteen chapel and the Vatican basilica (st. Peters church). Unfortunately I got sick so we couldn't go... But to our big luck the amazing staff at Roma Touristation rebooked so we could go the next day! A great thank you to Claudia, Sara, Elisabetta and Federica for making our experience complete
Our itinerary in Rome was a little more complicated than most due to some unforeseen circumstances but this tour is very inflexible. We found ourselves locked into visiting the Coliseum at the peak of a very hot afternoon then rushing to the Vatican Museum for a cattle call/death march through the Sistine Chapel.
My advice is: DO NOT BOOK THIS TRIP. We booked this ticket, and arranged for the colosseum on our first day, and the Vatican on the 2nd day, both starting at 10:30 am … plenty of time to relax, have some breakfast and start our day in a leisurely fashion Firstly, all the "instructions" we had were to go were to go to the Touristation, Piazza d'Aracoeli, 16 - Rome. No Map whatsoever. When we found it, it turned out that it was right at the other end of the Roman Forum, and we were to go there first. Don’t get off at the Colosseum metro because you will have a kilometre to walk ! It would have been nice to have been told Eventually, we found the Touristation office, only to find that we were to go to the Roman Forum first as part of our visit, and then, at the busiest, hottest part of the day, head to the Colosseum at 12pm for 12:30pm, in order to join the security queue for access. The Roman forum is not possible to go around in 90 minutes to do this fantastic place justice. We found that we here hurrying though the best, and what should have been the most relaxing part of the visit in the morning, in order to get to the colosseum in time. It would have been more sensible to go to the Colosseum early, ( at 10:30 perhaps ??? ) and then to spend time wandering around Palatine hill and Forum. This is NOT a "do what you like tour, in your own time". This is a tour where you follow the guide, when they have finally got the 20-30 people together, cross the roads like school children, and are told where to be at certain times in order to gain access to the colosseum. At the same time, we arranged for the Vatican / Vatican museums the next day, and told that there were special "evening viewings" of the museum ( how lucky were WE ?! ) and we could do that from 7:00pm ..... that sounded nice, and perhaps a little cooler for us, so we booked that. However, once again, we were part of a group that joined many, many other groups for an horrendous "bun fight" at 7pm . Skipping the queue is no use whatsoever if there are 100 other groups skipping the same queue! And what about the Vatican? Firstly we were told that we could go to the Vatican any time we wanted, from 9am until 4pm …. You CANNOT “skip the queue” for the Vatican, as the only real queue is the security queue, and you CANNOT circumvent that. That took us 40 minutes, which wasn’t bad. When we got through that there was no real entrance queue for St Peters, because the security queue had thinned everybody to a trickle!! And what is more, there is NO entrance fee. This is a complete rip off. We were farmed out to Touristation Roma for the entire two days ( so book with them ... you can sort out the best trip for yourselves with help at the desk ), had minimal instructions, and were just part of groups rather than "Allowing you to visit the sights at your own pace" No ... you can’t.
really good experience as the agency has several Offices in Rome and were very helpful in view to tickets, booking of time slots and so on especially for Sixt. Chapel and Colosseum
Very well organised, staff was extremely helpful , big thank you to Paulette in Vatican office. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to make the most out of their stay in Rome.
buying skip the queue tickets at a premium price, only to find that there is always a 2 - 3 hour wait to get through security, and it appears everyone gets the skip tickets so save your money... we went and had a lovely time in rome central walking around the various places, but while your there go to the little coffee shop just inside the metro station and buy a ring donut.. OMG !! LUSH lol
It was nice to just walk in to each place. The lines were crazy long for people not a part of a group! We also were able to see all these in 2 days instead of 3 because of our limited time in Rome! You have to arrive and enter though on their schedule.
The attractions were outstanding, the skip the lines great. However the instructions given by the tour operator touristation were confusing and hard to follow. We lost our ticket half way through the day and weren’t allowed into the next venue even though we had email receipts etc. i wouldn’t use this operator again I used city tours the next day also through Viator and they were amazing
Great to have there advance booking but we were frustrated and tired with a lot of waiting around at St Peters Basilica and the Vatican museums. Still a long wait for the timed entry into the Vatican museums and long waits through security etc. Experience was 3 hours in total with no rest breaks. Colosseum pass was good with almost no queuing.
I purchased this pass for my boyfriend and I, it's a reasonable price and even got a free tour of the Vatican included. We upgraded the Colosseum and Ancient Rome to a guided tour for 20€ each, which I'm really glad we did, otherwise we would've wandered around aimlessly! Both guides were very knowledgable and the skip-the-line entry was a god send, even in low season! Would definitely recommend.
I'd booked tickets for Sunday on Friday. Then got an email - after payment was taken - saying we had no access to to Vatican museum, sistine chapel and st Peter's on a Sunday. Tour shouldn't have been bookable!! When we got to the colosseum we were told entrance was free and same at the vatican. we were told those tickets were not required on sundays as entrance is FREE. Those thickets were not valid for queue jump as they stated so basically aviator took £140 wrongly!! After looking into it, I noticed other tour operators dont book full eome tours for Sunday as access into areas is restricted! Let's see if they honour a refund
Great guide for this tour! knowledgeable and spoke perfect english. Accommodating to questions from the group and was a great orator - found out he was also a professor. Also, can't beat the Coliseum!

Indeed the best of Rome. The Palatine Hills, The Forum, and yes, the Colosseum was a great experience. This was a 2-day pass, and our first day was the Vatican, The Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and the St. Peter's Basilica. This is the most important highlight of our Italian trip. The Colosseum is a must, but unfortunately, it was over two hours wait before we could go inside. I hope the Italian Tourist Board can find a manageable way to ease the clutter. I knew they are doing their best to have tourists the best wonderful experience.

This pass only includes Skip-the-Line to buy tickets! It does save some time because the line is shorter compare to non-skip-the-line line to enter Vatican Museum and Coliseum/Roman Forum (including Palentine Hill); but once you are in, you are on your own. The first day, a guide will give you a sticker and take you inside the Vatical Museum. Once you are in, you go upstairs and move along the stream of crowds without a clue where you are. I wasn't told where to pick up the audio guide so I was just drifting in crowds and pushed. If you are sent inside without the guide, do make sure to ask for location to pick up a audio guide and pick it up. Otherwise, you will be totally lost. Somehow by following the sign, I was able to get to the Sistene Chapel and exit the museum. Then, I went back to ticket pick-up sight to pick up a ticket to St. Peter's Basilica because I was told to come back. I was also told that I had already paid for skip-the-line pass to St. Peter's Basilica and go directly to security. Well, the problem is there are so many people/lines and you will be lost when you get to St. Peter's Basilica. And, St. Peter's Basilica is free, anyway. By the way, going to the dome and Cupola of St. Peter's Basilica is not free and will incur you extra cost. It is 8 euros to take the stairs and 10 euros to take the elevator. The second day, I went to Coliseum to pick up the tickets. This time I paid extra 19 euros (cash)/person for a guided tour of Coliseum and Roman Forum. The guided tour is definitely worth it. Again, the skip-the-line pass is for buying tickets. You still have to get on line for security check. Overall, sightseeing Roman ruins, museums, and basilicas is a wonderful experience, but for the first time Rome visitors I recommend paying extra for guided tour or bring your tour book(s) on Rome with you.

I would recommend arriving at the touristation more than 10 minutes early to collect tickets. Rome is a very busy place and lines can often take longer than expected. Booking these tickets did make our waiting times a lot shorter. It is good to be more prepared visiting these places than buying your ticket on the door on the day. Overall good experience.

Without a prior reservation, we were welcomed very kindly and accompanied to an available table. The dishes were excellent, fresh, hearty... as a set menu. Impeccable and smiling service. No wait. Excellent place, I highly recommend it!
Agency very effective and helpful, friendly and with excellent tips The best way to visit without a guide, very punctual
