ALEX PAOLINI was our private driver from Rome to Assisi, Italy. His services were excellent in every way. We had great conversations about the many local sites we saw along our drive. Alex was very punctual in picking us up and making sure we were back to our hotel, at our desired time. This was an incredible experience. My husband and I have traveled to Italy several times but have never visited Assisi before and I can’t believe it has taken this long. The town and churches are beautiful and the people are beautiful. Alex Paolini picked us up in front of our apartment on time guided us the 2 hours from Rome and gave us clear directions on how to navigate this lovely city. This is a must do location to visit.

He shared a lot of things about the Umbria region on our drive out and gave us good information about the four churches we visited in Assisi. Great way to see Assisi is to go by car. Our driver Alex Paolini of Beste Rome Driver was excellent. Very knowledgeable of the area plus the best way to get to the different churches. He was able to negotiate through the very narrow streets safely, provided enough time for us to see each place, gave recommendations on where to eat and of course the much needed bathroom breaks. The sweet pastries when we got into the car was an excellent touch to his service. He communicated a day before to confirm pick up time & place which gave us peace of mind. He was clear about what time and where our pick up point on each stop. The ability to communicate with him via text through out the entire trip made everything stress free. We had an excellent experience with Alex.

Our driver Alex did an excellent job! He got us to Assisi safely and made the ride interesting & informative. He was incredibly accommodating and met us with water and pastries to start the trip. He then took us to St Mary Major where we saw the body of Carlo Acutis. He then assured we were connected with our walking tour guide. After our walking tour he picked us up and took us to the town center to have a nice lunch. We were thankful to have him rather than driving ourselves.

Alex Paolini. is an excellent driver. He drove us from the Inn at the Roman Forum to Assisi. He brought us bottles of water and breakfast for our drive. He gave us ample time at each stop and always provided guidance for each stop and directions of where to meet. We had plenty of time for shopping and enjoying Assisi. We had a wonderful day trip to Assisi from Rome with Alex Paolini as our driver. He brought us a delicious breakfast and then provided a safe and quick trip to Assisi. Once there we met up with a local guide, Morena. She did a great job of showing us around to several churches. Morena added so much detail and history that we never would have realized on our own. She also made lunch reservations for us at Pallotta and it was one of the best meals of our trip to Italy. Our driver Alex made sure we were taken care of with water, phone chargers, WiFi and bathroom breaks! Highly recommend this personal service over a big bus tour.

Giulia organized our day in Umbria, which was a birthday gift for my mother, fulfilling all of my individual requests. Absolutely superb experience! Beatrice arrived in a beautiful late model Benz AMG and instantly connected with us. She and treated us like family and impressed us both with her professional driving skills and extensive knowledge of the area. Upon arriving at Assisi, she handed us off to Sarah who not only took us around to all the sights we wanted to see, but was able to give us a university level crash course in the history of the place. 100% recommend going with this service!

Mother-daughter trip to Rome was enhanced by this trip to Assisi. My mother is 79 and we rented a folding scooter. Having a private driver was a plus. Prompt pickup in a Mercedes minivan, we travelled in comfort. However the highlight was our driver Beatrice. Archeology scholar, exceptionally knowledgeable and charismatic. Most importantly her amazing care of my mother, truly touched my heart. I highly recommend this tour company. If your lucky to get Beatrice or Andrea then you’re in luck.

I would definitely go back to Assisi again and maybe even stay a couple of days. Our driver was awesome, he was flexible in meeting us when we arrived in Rome and he is a great driver. We felt safe and comfortable and enjoyed talking with him. He gave us tips on what to see and where to eat in Assisi and they were very helpful. The gelato we had in Assisi was our favorite of the whole trip and that is saying something because we ate a lot of good gelato everywhere we went. Don't miss the castle! It's at the top but SO worth it!
