We did the morning and evening tour with Lucio on the same day. We had been on a different guided tour inside of the colosseum the day prior and the different tours were all complimentary. Lucio was very knowledgeable about the architecture, the artifacts, the history and the mythology. The tour itself was well paced, and we found places in the shade for each stop. The pricing model makes this very accessible and the site had clear and thoughtful recommendations for tipping. This was one of the most enjoyable parts of our trip, would highly recommend!

I recommend the night tour with Dimitri. He was knowledgeable and patient guide, providing insights into ancient Rome throughout the entire tour. His explanations were interesting and offering an historical context at every stop, and he was happy to answer any questions we had. The atmosphere of the city at night made the experience even more memorable. It was a truly wonderful way to explore Rome’s history!

This was an amazing experience, and the tour guide is very knowledgeable. Definitely a must-do, and you get a free drink at the end of the tour.

This tour is an absolute must do!! You would be missing out on so much history of you don't take this wonderful tour! Nick, our tour guide, was incredibly brilliant and really brought the history of Rome to life with his narrative. We were enchanted by the history and Nick was so gracious and friendly and he made our trip so memorable!

We were suppose to use this tour on 4/1 for a family of 4. We booked 3 tours with Viator. Two tours were AMAZING. One was disappointingly not. I called to try to get our tour moved to another day as our plane was delayed. We could make the tour but it was a stretch and giving it was pouring down rain…how could you do a walking tour comfortably? The request to move the date was denied. So I got all of us panchos and met at the designated place 15 minutes before our tour was to start. We were the only group there. Our tour was 7pm. The time came and went. I called repeatedly using the Same number I had and no one picked up. We finally left at 7:15. I filed a complaint with Viator and the operations department for the tour denied my request for a refund for a tour I didn’t have a chance to go on!!! I was really looking forward to this tour! This instance was truly disappointing. I would recommend seeking a different option if you’re dead set on going on a similar tour. Safe travels!!

My friends and I got the pleasure of meeting Dimitri. The tour was unforgettable and very exclusive. We really enjoyed the tour! He even showed us places most people wouldn’t even consider going to! We didn’t get the chance to do a bike tour he also offers. Because the team was very welcoming we’re definitely doing the bike tour with them next year!!!

Amazing route throughout some of Rome’s most important sites. Our guide Lucho (awesome English, Spanish and Italian) was nice and provided tons of information. We truly enjoyed it and definitely recommend it. Cherry on top was watching together a La Roma futbol match after the game at a local pub. Super recommended.

We did the Rome’s Ultimate free walking tour, and did the Night Walk the same day. The Night Walk really complemented the day tour, focusing on many of monuments, piazzas and significant parts of the city we would’ve otherwise missed. Lucio was a wealth of knowledge and was approachable and eager to answer any questions we had Definitely recommend this tour!

The Night Walking tour in Rome with Dimitri was a highlight of our 3 week tour in Europe. We embarked on this tour on our first night in Rome, and our experience was above and beyond our expectations. Our guide Dimitri was a wealth of information, attentive, kind, intellectual person with whom we toured the most majestic Rome sites and his commentaries illuminated so many interesting historical, architectural, political facts about Rome and Italy for us! I doubt we'd get this kind of experience anywhere else. We visited Roman monuments, toured a few amazing churches that were not part of the original tour, but that happened to be open where we were on the tour ( again, Dimitri's commentaries made so much difference in understanding what art and religious treasures we were seeing!), admired the Presidential Palace that used to be a Papal residence, and the Piazza Campdoglio designed by Michelangelo... you name it. At the end of the tour ( that lasted way longer the scheduled tour time, as we were having so many questions about the sites and events we were learning about), we ended our night walk with a glass of a great wine graciously offered to us by Dimitri. Thank you so much for your attention, kindness, professionalism! We will definitely be back and take this tour again when in Rome!

Excellent sunset/early evening walking tour in the centre of Rome. Our guide, Dimitri, was a great host and really knows his history. Rome’s Ultimate tours (we also took their Free Walking Tour - 5⭐️) are all about the history and development of Rome through the ages, rather than just a list of famous sites for photo ops. Walking through centuries of history, Dimitri explained the way the city had developed through the rise and fall of the Republic, the Empire, the Papal state, the middle ages, the 1000 years when nothing happened 🤣, through to the unification of the peninsula and the creation of Italy. A brilliant tour to see some amazing sites without the massive crowds around, there were times when we had whole parts of the city to ourselves. I also have a much better appreciation of the different architectural styles around Rome (Classical, eclecticism, medieval, Baroque, Rococo etc..) Ending the tour in the Highlander pub for a beer was also a nice way to wrap up the evening.

This was a super pleasant / informative evening walking tour. Rome at night is less hot/crowded, and possibly even more stunning than during the day time. The lighting on the monuments really highlights the scale and grandeur of each structure. Lucio was super friendly, knowledgeable, and an overall great guy. He answered my (many) questions about Roman history as well as Rome the city itself. Highly recommend!

Walking Rome during the evening was a different way of seeing monuments, less traffic, less noise, less tourism. Lucio is passionated about the city and know a lot of details about ancient and modern Rome.

We took the free walking tour (tipping) and also the night tour with Lucio, which ended at a pub for a drink. These were a great combination for understanding the city and its treasures. Lucio was a great guide. He speaks in a clear and friendly manner, always open to questions and respectful. He is also very knowledgeable. He keeps the tour at a very nice pace, giving plenty of information while also allowing time to contemplate and let all sink in (unlike other tours we've made). Thanks Lucho!!!

Great tour of the off the beaten path of ancient sites in Rome! Highly recommended for the history buff that wants to understand the historical significance and the story behind the various sites in Rome. Lucio our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to understand. My adult son and I thoroughly enjoyed our time spent on this tour. The weather in the evening was perfect and the light with the setting sun was spectacular for site seeing!

This was a brilliant tour, as we walked through the city from sunset to night fall. Dimitri the guide's knowledge was impressive and he made ancient Rome come alive in front of us. He did get a bit carried away and we did walk for close to three hours and ended at a bar for a lovely cool drink. If you want to learn about life through the ages in Rome and see the sites as days turns into night, don't miss this tour.

It was an incredibly good tour. The guide explained to us super interesting historical and theological background. You could see how much background knowledge was behind it and we talked for over half an hour later in the pub. I can only recommend it to anyone the story even a little interested .
