Amalfi & Positano Day Trip From Rome With Coastal Cruise

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our Positano, Amalfi Coast and Sorrento Day Trip from Rome with Limoncello Tasting was truly unforgettable, and the biggest reason was Barbara! From the very first minute, she made us feel like family. Her warm personality, genuine care, and enthusiasm created such a welcoming atmosphere that our group felt connected right away. Barbara is the perfect guide, combining incredible historical knowledge with a wonderful sense of humor. She brought every destination to life with fascinating stories, insights, and fun anecdotes that made the day both educational and entertaining. Her energy and passion were contagious, and she kept everyone engaged throughout the trip. What impressed us most was how she went above and beyond to help us. She took the time to assist my husband and me with a special transfer arrangement. Her kindness, attention to detail, and willingness to help exceeded all expectations. We highly recommend this tour and especially Barbara. She is an outstanding guide who turns a wonderful excursion into a memorable and personal experience. Our tour guide Parnian is very kind and helpful, she shared us a lot of information about Rome, Positano, Sorrento and more. We are well looked after by her. Our driver Tiziano brought us back to Rome safely which is greatly appreciated. It was slightly disappointing as we couldn’t get onto the cruise due to bad weather, and changed from visiting Amalfi to Sorrento. Definitely will be back to Amalfi in the future.

Our tour guide Flavio was very knowledgeable and great he made the day very enjoyable. There was a lot more traveling to the locations than we originally thought long bus ride and then multiple ferries so we only had about two hours in Postiano and 40 minutes in the Almalfi the rest of the trip was just travel time. The ferry can have pretty views if you sit on the right side when you are traveling there and the left side on the way back. You don’t have a ton of time to get food, but they do stop on the way there and the way back that you could get food at a gas station. Great tour if you just want to see it!

From the beginning to end of the tour Robert, Rob, was amazing. He texted us all the best places and told us about extra things to know about each place. He then gave us great information about Roma!!! He was always checking in with everyone. Thank you for an amazing trip.

Coco was an excellent tour guide. He was very engaging, humorous, and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure everyone was entertained and that everyone knew the itinerary and recommended things to do. Excellent service and we would highly recommend requesting Coco as your tour guide.

We left the tour in Positano and rode the ferry to Naples and the train back to Rome. We got to spend much more time on the coast doing this. The tour keeps you in a bus 80%of the time, so you don’t really get a chance to explore or eat in the towns. I would suggest just taking the train to Naples and the ferry to the coast. A beautiful boat ride and you have much more time to enjoy the towns.

We had a fantastic day with Coco our guide. It was a long day, but every part of it was a wonderful experience. If you want to see other parts of Italy besides Rome, I highly recommend this Amalfi Coast & boat tour.

First, I want to say that our guide was great! They did a good job of explaining some sites along the way to our tour and made the day easy by coordinating our travel and times for meeting back up. However, I'm only giving this 3 stars because I feel that the "coastal cruise" portion of this is misrepresented in the itinerary. The bus dropped off our group and we actually boarded a ferry and travelled by ferry to both towns we visited. This is something we ourselves could've coordinated and there wasn't anything unique about the cruise portion, in which we were on a boat with the general public/other tourists. Secondly, the wifi on the bus did not work the entire way back on our trip, which was a bummer because it's a long bus ride. Overall, it was nice to not have to coordinate the travel ourselves from Rome. However, I'm struggling to justify the price of the tour given that the costal cruise was a public ferry and the wifi was not something we could utilize on the long trip. Just want to give an honest review about what to expect since I felt that the description did not accurately represent the reality of the trip. If you want a taste of the Amalfi coast but want someone else to book the transportation for you, then I'd recommend this trip with the understanding that the transportation is not always exclusive to your group.

First off I didn’t know I would be on a bus for 8-9 hours of the excursion. I would def not do this again or advise anyone to. U only get 1.5 hours in sorrento and 1.5 hours in Positano then the rest of the hours are in the bus. Our cruise was cancelled d/t weather yet it wasn’t even raining. Your guide was fun but not worth it. Just take the train and ferry on ur own .

Beautiful cities. The Amalfi Coast is incredible and very worth seeing. But it’s important to note that it is long drive from Rome so there is a lot of time spent on the bus. However our tour guide (Cosimo) was excellent. We would rate him a 5/5. He was kind, friendly, informative, funny and provided us with good tips for enjoying the cities.

COSIMO was so awesome, funny, and full of energy. He was very knowledgeable on the history of the places we went. Overall, it was a great experience. And a “shout out” to Luca our driver. I felt safe the whole time and those hills and turns were pretty scary at times.

This was a very long tour day. Total time from start to finish was about 15 hours. So if you want to take this trip be aware of the time commitment. Getting to see the Italian countryside from the bus from Rome to Salerno was great. We did not have any time in Salerno but boarded the boat and went to Positano where we had several hours. The 90 minutes in Amalfi was a perfect amount of time to see the town and buy some souvenirs. Are tour guide was excellent and made the trip enjoyable.

Wonderful trip! We had taken the Amalfi coast off the list and this all day trip gave us the opportunity to cruise the coast and visit Amalfi and Positano. Barbara our guide was amazing! Funny, charming and we learned so much about the history of Rome and this region. Highly recommend!

This itinerary is an absolute lie. We went on a perfectly sunny calm day. About 45 min out of Rome they told us the ferry was cancelled due to weather and our day would look different. We ended up going to a limenchello factory (glorified gift shop), with a very short stop in sorrento and positano ( 1.5 hours each). We had no time to eat or do much of anything in that time and spent about 12 hours on a bus. While in Positano I saw the ferries were all running, I checked online in the morning-ferries were running. This was an absolute waste of time, I felt the tour company just lied to us. DO NOT go on this. We tried to make the best of it, but this was by far the worst day of our vacation.

The trip was ok, but I booked by a misstake a wrong trip. It was a pit confusing we supposed to go to Pompej but end up Positino and Sorrento trip. No Pompej

The tour was incredibly convenient and very well priced. Visiting Amalfi and Positano in one day from Rome was such a great experience, and travelling with an organised tour felt so much safer and easier than trying to arrange everything ourselves. Our tour guide, Chiara, was absolutely amazing! She was knowledgeable, friendly and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore the beautiful Amalfi Coast from Rome. Excellent value for money and a wonderful experience from start to finish!

We ran into some rough weather and things might have gone wrong, but for the competence, attention to detail and world class humor of our guide, Marius, I have done many tours around the world and would rate Marius as the best guide ever.

Wanted to see Positano and Amalfi area while in Rome. Saw this trip and booked- husband and I. It’s a very long day- which is fine but could be more memorable and meaningful if they cut out the stop to the linencello factory. That stop is not needed on top of a prior stop for coffee/food/restrooms. Please consider cutting out that stop so we can enjoy more time in Positano and Sorrento. Otherwise, it’s a good option to see that part of Italy in a day. Our guide, Viviana was great- kept things moving as she realized the time constraints. She was also knowledgeable and pleasant!

Unforgettable Day Trip to Positano & Amalfi with boat cruise – Cosimo (Coco) is the Best! We had an absolutely amazing time on this tour from Rome! Taking the bus to Sorrento, followed by the ferry to Positano and Amalfi, was the perfect way to see the coastline. Positano offered stunning views during our 3-hour visit it truly felt like a postcard. Then, the 1.5-hour ferry ride from Positano to Amalfi was breathtaking! While in Amalfi, we walked around, soaked in the atmosphere, and tried the local lemon sherbet, which was incredibly delicious. Finally, we took the ferry back to Sorrento and caught our bus back to Rome. What made this tour truly special was our guide, Cosimo (Coco). Even with a full group of 52 people on the bus, Coco was fantastically friendly and took incredible care of everyone. He shared so much fascinating history and interesting facts throughout the journey. He made an effort to connect with everyone and kept the energy light, warm, and friendly the entire day. He is simply fantastic at what he does!

It's a long day. Much of it spent on a bus. Beautiful when you get there. The company canceled the cruise but did not offer a refund for that portion of the trip. Not a good way of doing business in my opinion. My 3 stars are for the Amalfi Coast itself not the tour.

Marius was our tour guide, he was awesome! Super kind, funny and reassured us multiple times nobody will get left behind! It was a tour from 7:30 am to 10pm. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side that day so our cruise was canceled and we were given a 25% discount but we still saw the almafi coast, positano, had a limoncello tasting at a factory along the way and saw Sorrento. Quick note if this happens to anyone as well, your tour guide does NOT control the weather! make sure to do your research and plan in advance. Marius did his absolute best to give us the best experience despite the unfortunate circumstances. Overall i’d do it again! it was so nice to have secure transportation and be able to explore other beautiful parts of italy.

We had a wonderful tour. Marius was our guide. He was full of information which was presented in an entertaining way. He kept track of everyone and we had a very enjoyable day. The boat, coastline and cities were beautiful. Be prepared to walk a lot. If you have a battery backup for your cell phone, bring it along as you may go through your charge.

I felt it was very unorganized and chaotic. We went to the bus that we were directed to go on and were told by one of the tour people that we had the wrong bus. So then we went on the bus behind and found out we were on the wrong bus. Once we finally got to the right bus that were not enough seats. They had oversold the tour and my husband had to sit up front with the tour operator. When we did make a stop during the very long bus trip, I felt very rushed, which stressed me out and set me up to have a bad morning. The tour guide spoke very fast, and sometimes it was hard to follow him. It was also difficult to find a restaurant that could feed us because they were all full and very crowded.

It was a beautiful experience towards the end, however, it was a very rainy day and kind of frightening until about 2pm. The weather impacted our ability to enjoy the time in Sorrento. The remainder of the day really made up for it and was worth the trip but the first half was not fun.

Tour guide was knowledgeable. The driver was safe and thorough. However, be prepared for a 15 hour day with very limited time at your stops. Positano, Amalfi, and Positano. Maybe, an hour, at best. The charter boat was canceled without any reason or update. Do not eat at the restaurant that the tour quide takes you...very subpar.

Overall, we enjoyed our trip. Checking in at 7 AM was a chaos. However, when we met our guide Marius everything immediately turned into well organized adventure. It’s a 15 hours long trip, with enough time in Positano - 2 hours, and not quite enough in Amalfi -1 hour. Also, limoncello tasting could be executed better. I would not call it a tasting at all. I would like to add a few words about Marius who was absolutely amazing, caring, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very entertaining during whole trip. Grazie mille, Marius❤️
