A Culinary Journey Through Time

Best experience of our entire trip. Our chef Roberto was an excellent host, driver, and narrator. It was nice to take a day trip out of Rome to see the countryside. The medieval village was surrounded by wooded hills and a river was so quiet. Our shopping trip in the village was a unique experience watching the locals enjoying greeting each other at the Saturday markets for their weekly shopping. The markets were so different than at home. The villa where we cooked was so comfortable & the kitchen well equipped. We learned to make ravioli, cavatelli, saltimbocca, potatoes, and fresh peach dessert. Our dinner was magical in the comfy dining room looking out to the wooded hillside and river. We sipped great local wine while cooking and dining. I enjoyed the ride back to Rome and didn’t want our day to end. I highly recommend this experience.

Did the food tour with Roberto and it was a great experience. First more food than expected, Roberto was very personable and great sense of humor, and made us feel very welcomed.

More than we imagined. A spectacular experience from the moment Roberto picked us up. Beautiful scenery in Mazzano Romano, the locals were so welcoming. Our chef was a great teacher and we learned so much. Memories we’ll cherish.

We did the walking food tour with Laura in Rome in February. The tour was perfection. We met up with Laura in Piazza de Trilussa and started our tour. Not only was it a culinary delight but she gave us the historical and cultural perspective of each stop. At the end of the tour Laura surprised us with a private dining experience in the only privately owned home on Tibor Island. My favorite part was the tour through the Jewish Ghetto and viewing the largest synagogue in Europe! Thank you Laura for being so kind and hospitable.

Laura was absolutely fabulous! She was very kind and informative. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the streets of Rome, while stopping for delicious local cuisines along the way!

This cooking class was the favorite experience of our 26 day trip! The chef was helpful and very communicative. Stopping at the markets to buy the needed ingredients was very fun. We made ravioli, capatelli, saltimbocca, and fresh peaches. Delicious, informative and very fun!

What an AWESOME experience while in Rome. Ivan done a wonderful job teaching us about some unique Roman dishes.
