We booked the Dolce Vita 500 Tour: Rome in a Flash for our October family vacation to Rome. The tour was booked approximately three months in advance. We wanted an iconic tour of the city in a Fiat 500. Approximately 40 minutes before the tour was supposed to start, we were contacted via email to inform us the vehicle was involved in a wreck. The company wanted to substitute a golf cart tour (which was more expensive) for the Fiat. We asked to switch to a Vespa and sidecar tour but the company said they were not available. We attempted to reschedule the Fiat or Vespas for the next day but they reported they were still not available. We agreed to the golf cart tour. The driver was the same person that was involved in the Fiat accident. He said the tour was better than the Fiat because the golf cart could go where the Fiat couldn't. The driver was not informative and provided little explanation to the highlight. He pulled over for the Colosseum and the Pizza Navona for us to get a quick photo. The driver did not stop at the Spanish Steps but told us that we up on top of it. To make the tour even worse that it already was, the front passenger seat safety belt was not useable, causing one of the three of us to sit in the back and face backwards in the six person golf cart. It was a terrible experience. We used Get Your Guide and booked a Fiat trip for the following day. The Fiat tour was the highlight of our trip. I hope Luxurbe understands that people book these tours for the Italian experience, not to run around the narrow city streets of Rome.

I was traveling alone in Rome and only had two days in the city, so I wanted a great way to see as many of the iconic sights as possible without feeling like I was simply rushing from one tourist attraction to another. This tour ended up being absolutely perfect. I booked the 90-minute tour at 16:00, which turned out to be the perfect time. The weather was beautiful, the temperature was ideal for having the top down, and the late-afternoon light made driving through Rome even more incredible. Seeing the Colosseum and the streets of Rome from an open-top vintage Fiat genuinely felt like something out of a movie. Alessandro was fantastic. Within the first few minutes, it felt less like I was on a guided tour and more like I was driving around Rome with an old friend. He was extremely knowledgeable about the city and its history, but what made the experience special was how personable and accommodating he was. He listened to what I was interested in and tailored the tour to my preferences rather than simply following a rigid itinerary. We had great conversations, laughed a lot, and he took me to viewpoints and places around Rome that I probably never would have discovered on my own. As a solo traveler, that personal connection made the experience even more memorable. This was easily one of the highlights of my entire trip to Italy and genuinely one of my favorite travel experiences I’ve ever had. I would recommend Alessandro and this tour without hesitation to my friends and family, and I would absolutely book it again the next time I’m in Rome. 10/10. Grazie, Alessandro! 🇮🇹

Our driver David provided us with a fantastic tour experience as only a true Rome local could. He customised the tour to include sights and areas that we had not previously seen and provided an excellent commentary. We finished the tour with beaming smiles.

Cruising through Rome in a vintage burgundy convertible Fiat 500 Jolly was hands-down the highlight of our trip!  Our guide, Matt, was incredible—super friendly, fun, and full of great energy (giving us peace signs and making the whole experience feel so welcoming and lively)! He drove us around the city while showing us iconic landmarks like the Colosseum, the Fontana dell'Acqua Paola, and the Janiculum Terrace (Piazzale Garibaldi).  Matt knew all the best spots for photos and made sure we got amazing group shots and fun memories along the way. Riding through the cobbled streets with the top down was pure magic.  If you’re visiting Rome, you must book this vintage Fiat tour—and definitely ask for Matt! Thank you for such an unforgettable experience!

I highly reccomend this tour as a way to fully experience Rome! We ended our trip with the express tour with our guide Sarah who was absolutely fabulous. We will never forget our time here and the unreal sites. When searching for guides this company will take care of you.

Luca was a great tour. Not sure it warranted the price tag as the fiat was empty. We saw a couple get picked up in one yesterday and handed prosecco on pick up. We didn’t get the same but once on the trip Luca was amazing. Very expensive for 1.5 hours.

On the company side of things, we paid for 2 flats, and instead only got one and then a bug with a sunroof... This was unfortunate.. we paid extra for the fiat experience....

Amazing! David, our guide and driver was great through the trip. If you want a quick summary of the important places in Rome, this is the trip to have.

What a fun experience! Andy was an excellent guide and made the tour both enjoyable and informative. We were able to see some of Rome’s most iconic sights, including the Pantheon, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain. With a group of six and limited time in Rome, this was a fantastic way to see so much of the city without feeling rushed. Andy made the experience easy, fun, and memorable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to make the most of their time in Rome.

Ernesto was our guide. He spoke English extremely well and provided lots of history about Rome and the sights we were seeing. The red Fiat 500 convertible was so cool. It was such a fun experience. Highly recommend.

Awful, don't waste your time! Or money Aus $200. Car iconic, sites amazing but not able to stop or take pictures, Taxi/Uber driver was a better Rome exp. Guide was knowledgeable but took us on tour of 45 mins of 90 sold, they cancelled 60 mins before tour and rescheduled for next day, arrived 40 late minus car, walked us to another location (car park badged as their business) and delivered 45 of 90 min tour. This org is not recommended!
