Villa Matissa

We are staying here right now and this place is fantastic. Instead of being treated like a guest or visitor, they really make you feel part of the family. Rooms are great, the garden is wonderful, bathrooms are modern. And somehow they kept the historical charm. The location is amazing. We’ve been walking around the cobblestone streets checking out delicious restaurants, shopping, exploring historic cathedrals and enjoying the energy of the area. Very safe area and we have enjoyed walking. Highly recommend to anyone wanting the excitement of Rome while having a quiet and calm place to stay.

Great location. Friendly, helpful host. Nice rooms with AC and modern bathroom. Bus stop just outside. Take bus from Metro or taxi with luggage. Walk is 30 minutes. Great food and shops very close. Highly recommend.

Stayed for 2 nights in Silvio’s beautiful property. Excellent host and very knowledgeable about the area. We wanted to stay in Trastevere and this was perfect, 5 minutes walk to the center of Trastevere with all the great restaurants and bars.

We had a lovely time here. Spent 2 days. Room was great. Sergio is a wonderful helpful host. Lots of amenities and a beautiful surroundings. Garden was a pleasure to spend some time in. Very peaceful and restful. Very close 5 min walk to Trasteverte with many excellent restaurants and shops. Close to buses to take you over the river and into the old city.
