San Pietro Suites

There seems to be another property with a similar name that people get confused, but this one is excellent. I’ve stayed here several times during my travels in Rome and just recently stayed again. Beautiful historical building on a quiet street located in between the train station and the Vatican. Staff was excellent, rates were amazing and rooms were spacious. Super clean. It’s located in a historical building. Old-fashioned elevator… Had an amazing time and feel very comfortable here.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked this hotel because of the photos and reviews, which show a bright, modern, boutique-style property with spacious rooms and stylish furniture. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. The room we got was tiny and cramped, with the bed pushed directly against the wall and barely any space to move around. The furniture was cheap and basic, nothing like the elegant style shown online. The “wardrobe” was just a few hangers under the air conditioning unit. The desk was a small table squeezed into the corner, uncomfortable and impractical. The bathroom was very simple and small, nothing close to the sleek, modern bathrooms advertised in the photos. Overall, the online presentation creates an illusion that does not exist in reality. This feels like false advertising and deception. What they sell online and what you actually get are two completely different things. The only reason I am giving 1 star instead of zero is because the room, at least, was clean. But everything else — size, comfort, furniture, and overall atmosphere — was a huge disappointment.

I had a great time staying here. I've been meaning to post this review. A couple months ago I had a nightmare travel experience and they were very helpful and accommodating. Room was clean and I enjoyed that it was on a quiet street but close to all the action and train station. Didn't think I could sleep that well in a major city lol. The building is basically a beautiful historic residential building. Antique elevator. I found it charming.

We had a wonderful time staying in this guest house. Our room was clean and spacious, plus we had a balcony with a get view of the vatican. There are many restaurants and shop near by. Also, the St. Pietro train station is really close, which makes it easy to catch a local train or bus from there. Guest house is located on the 3rd floor, so get ready to go up some stairs. This isn't a hotel, so dont expect there to be someone in reception. Overall, it was a great experience.
