Ripetta Rooms

My stay at Ripetta Rooms was the sketchiest, most unsettling experience and ruined my trip. Not sure who they paid to leave such positive reviews. This “4 star hotel” is actually a “guesthouse,” which entailed a floor inside an old condominium building, with a few rooms for guest stays. The location was hard to locate because there is no obvious signage. We had to communicate with the manager beforehand to schedule a time to enter the building, and then buzz the buzzer on the outside of the building. If you stay out past 6pm or so, you need multiple codes to get back into the building. There is not a front desk operating the premises 24/7. There is NO offered breakfast. Our room had weak AC which is an absolute must during Roman summers. The shower didn’t work. The room smelled like cigarettes. The bed had only 1 thin bedsheet. For a whopping $200/night, I did not expect the travesty of Ripetta Rooms. I was more than thrilled to leave.

Fantastic stay in the heart of Rome! The location is absolutely unbeatable — right in the city center, with all the main attractions just a short walk away. Communication with the host was quick and responsive, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Rooms were spotlessly clean and tidied every day, which was a big plus. The only minor downside was that the windows weren’t very well insulated, so we could hear people on the street at night. That aside, a great place to stay and I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

We had a very lovely experience! The location is excellent, as it is close to many landmarks that you can easily reach on foot. The hosts were very welcoming, and the room was beautiful and comfortable. I would have liked a bit more attention to cleanliness in areas that are not easily visible, but overall the room was very clean.

I chose Ripetta Rooms for its convenient location and glowing reviews about the service, and couldn’t have been happier with my choice. The property is perfectly situated, just a short walk from all the main Roman attractions. Our room was spacious enough, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the complimentary mini bar, which was stocked daily with free water, fruit juices, and snacks, something we didn’t even get in the four-star hotels we stayed at in Sicily! Thank you, Marco and team, for a truly memorable and comfortable stay.
