We had a great stay here in September 2025, and the hotel was perfect for us. The rooms were clean, and the receptionist who checked us in was really nice. However, on the days we requested room service, there was an older receptionist who was quite rude to us. Even on our check-out day, we felt a slight hint of racial discrimination from this individual. They showed great enthusiasm toward white customers but almost completely snubbed us. It was disappointing, but our overall stay was still great. In particular, the male Asian staff member (whom we thought might be Filipino) was incredibly nice, welcoming, and helpful.
We had such a lovely stay at Residenza Mecenate! The room was spacious and very clean, with a large bathroom and big windows offering a beautiful view.
The host was absolutely wonderful! Genuinely kind, welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She really made us feel at home and was always happy to help with anything we needed.
The location was perfect for exploring Rome: very central and within easy reach of everything, while still being quiet and peaceful.
We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Rome and would happily recommend Residenza Mecenate to anyone visiting the city!
A little dated, but a great location close to the train station & walkable to the colosseum.
This has been a fabulous find! It's an easy walk from Termini. The room is great and the staff is fabulous. The only issue is that the water in the shower has an inconsistent temperature.... It suddenly becomes super hot or icy cold in the middle of your shower.... Not ideal! We told the gal at the desk and she said she'd report it, but it didn't result in a change.
Great for what we needed which was a single night stay. We stayed in room 5 and the AC was perfectly cold after a long warm day of walking around. The only bad thing is the shower wall adhesive was detached so the shower made a lot of water shoot out the side. Otherwise, the bellman was wonderful and really deserves recognition.
