We had a very disappointing stay here. The staff was friendly, but after a long day exploring in Rome we got into our room and went to shower and not only was the drain completely clogged, but it was backing up into the shower. The lip over the edge of the shower was very shallow, so it began to overflow within one minute. Initially, Vanessa responded apologetically and let us know they would refund our room for the inconvenience. We literally could not even shower because of the drain issue - nobody wants to shower when pipes are backing up. 🤢 The following morning the staff let us know they were not sure about a refund because Management needed to get back to them; but they assured us they were pressing for a refund for the inconvenience. They stopped responding to any emails once we checked out. I was shocked that they would just stop communicating after they had been writing us immediately when we had the issue. This was a very disappointing ending to our time in Rome. Our experience is that there is a warm face and welcome, but if you run into any issues, do not expect any help or compensation for any issues. Not the kind of stay I’d recommend to others. Additionally, our room was very dark and small- which I believe is simply to be expected in Europe.

We spent 4 days at the Relais Orso Hotel in May. Built in the 17th century, it had old world charm. The staff (Martina) is friendly, accomodating and helpful. Located in the quiet historic center, most major sites are easily within walking distance. And don't forget to visit the rooftop bar that overlooks the city.
This was such a GREAT location to explore Rome. The front desk was extremely helpful. Juan was our rooftop bartender and was very accommodating. We will be sure to stay here again.
The staff was kind and quick to take care of concerns. However, the roof top area was meh and the hotel felt dirty. It was a great price for one night and got the job done but I would have been looking for another room if we had to stay more than a night.
We were headed to Rome for a couple of days so looked at location of where we wanted to be and started the search and read reviews and this hotel based on reviews was why we went. Drove to the hotel and it is a very unassuming. No sign on the front. We asked about rooms and had a choice of the regular room and a junior suite. Suite was not much more money and offered us more room. It was perfect. Great location - walking to most things we wanted to see in Rome. Room was very quite, the rate was great, staff was pleasant, shower was hot, and the stay was perfect for us. We rarely are in the room with sightseeing all day. They do not offer breakfast which is perfect for us. When in Rome we would much rather go to a small cafe and pick up a delicious morning treat or yummy sandwich. Highly recommend this hidden gem. The rooftop deck has a great view!
