Gulia was a great receptionist. She was always friendly and truly made my first time in Italy a great experience. She was kind and attentive. My stay was great here. Rooms were clean, small, but that is common for Europe. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Rome! Ciao!

⭐ 1 star — Very disappointing experience We booked the Orazio Palace Hotel in June and specifically requested a room with twin beds, as I was travelling with my elderly mum. Our stay was late August, plenty of time to fulfill our request of twin beds. When we arrived, we were given a room on the bottom floor with a view directly onto a concrete wall. The room had a double bed, despite our request for twin beds. It also had a step up into the bathroom, which had not been mentioned when booking and was a genuine trip hazard for my elderly mum. When I raised the issue of the beds, the woman at the desk was extremely rude and demanded that I provide proof that we had requested twin beds. We were then told there were no twin rooms available until the following morning. I explained that we would be out for the entire next day and therefore wouldn’t have the opportunity to come back and sort the room out, but she simply wouldn’t listen. I subsequently found a twin room at the hotel available on Booking.com for that same night, yet despite this, she still refused to move us. We ultimately left and found an amazing hotel just down the road that was able to accommodate us with a twin room. We did not stay at Orazio Palace and requested a refund because the room provided was not as described when we booked. Since returning home, I have also contacted the hotel by email regarding the booking and have received no response. My travel agent is still trying to get the refund resolved. What was most disappointing was not just the room, but the way the situation was handled. The attitude at reception, the refusal to listen and the complete lack of communication afterwards made an already stressful situation even worse. I would not recommend this hotel based on our experience
A thoroughly enjoyable first visit to Rome. The hotel is located in a lovely quiet area but is well within walking distance to all major sites. We were upgraded on check in as we were there celebrating my 40th birthday. The 2 ladies that checked us in were exceptional, their hospitality and customer service was by far the best I’ve come across in any of my visits abroad. The breakfast options were great and everything was fresh and replenished quickly. The rooftop bar was stunning and the views were breathtaking. I would most definitely return and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who was looking to visit Rome.
Our stay at Orazio Palace Hotel was excellent from start to finish, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. The highlight of our stay was Giulia at the front desk. She truly went above and beyond every single day. She spoke several languages fluently, taught us a little Italian, and was always happy to answer questions or offer recommendations for restaurants, attractions, and hidden gems around the city. She was incredibly knowledgeable about both the hotel and Rome itself, and her kindness and professionalism made us feel genuinely welcome. She also held our luggage before check-in, which made it so much easier to enjoy our firs day exploring Rome without having to carry our bags. Giulia was the biggest reason our trip was as enjoyable as it was. The hotel's location is another major advantage. It's in a very walkable neighborhood with easy access to many of Rome's top attractions, especially Vatican City. We were able to explore much of the city on foot, which made the experience even better. The breakfast on the top floor was outstanding—without question one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. There was a great selection of high-quality food, and the rooftop setting was a wonderful way to start each morning. While everything about the property was wonderful, it was Giulia's exceptional hospitality that truly set the hotel apart. Because of her, we would gladly stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome.
Great hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was good. Rooftop bar was fun and has great views of th Vatican. It was an easy walk to the Vatican. My husband and I found the location was walkable to all the major sights, but we love to walk. If not, it would be a quick taxi ride to other sights.
