But Our Interactions with the Super friendly staff and the ideal location make it ideal for what we are looking for in our upcoming visit to Rome I am very much looking forward to writing my review on My Spanish Steps So my 3,000,000+ people that have seen my reviews on Google maps we'll see how nice this hotel is. We loved this room... The view was amazing. The location was a great starting spot each day.... Whether it was by walking or by the very close Metro. The room itself was large with a nice size independent bathroom and shower room. The terrace was nice to sit and relax and listen and watch all the city sounds and sights.
This hotel was very beautiful. I just wouldn't stay here again because we had to walk up the spanish steps almost everyday to get back to the hotel and it can get tiring especially on the days we had a long day of walking already haha. Also, the room is not sound proofed and it was very loud at night. You can hear everything/everyone from the restaurant nearby.
My Spanish steps is a lovely place to stay we recommend it highly. Alessandro was so helpful and kind. We were in room 101 which was very comfortable and quiet. We would certainly go back. It was very convenient to get around as you are central.
Generally the rooms were clean and nice. Same with the bathrooms. I appreciated the free water in the mini fridge during the heat wave. My only issue is the room I stayed in was incredibly loud. The views were lovely but the room is located above a restaurant/bar and there is little to no noise proofing in the room. I had the windows closed with the wood accross both front and back of the window and tried to pull the curtains accross as much as I could. I had ear plugs in and it still sounded like the street was in my room. It would be helpful to maybe have more functional curtains to assist in blocking the sound. Either way just a heads up to maybe request a quieter room as I know not all of them face that direction. With that said they were very friendly and accommodating. And it is in a great location as the major spots are walking distance. Also the hotel accross the street has a lovely garden terrace in the back that’s very peaceful if you want to get away from the hussel and bussel. Drinks are a little expensive but great quality wine list and the drinks come with a variety of snacks (essentially for one person is a meal). .
