This should not be called a hotel. I would give it zero stars if I could. This is more like an airbnb. The so-called "hotel" is situated behind a bar. Not to mention they don't have a hotel lobby and you have to check-in at this hidden bar. Once you get to the back alley of the "hotel", the person gave us three keys. This first key opens the gate door that leads to the long stairs. Then he didn't even offer to help us lift our luggage up the long stairs. What kind of hotel doesn't have an elevator? Once we got up the stairs, there is another key for this door that opens to the communal area that is shared with the other room. Once we entered into our room, the room looks quite modern, however, the washroom wall/ceiling has lots of mold in it, making it health hazardous and unsafe to stay there. My husband and I checked out early the next day as the mold in the bathroom is triggering his asthma, but they did not offer us a refund for the night that we are not staying. The bathroom mold needs to be treated before they let customers go in. This is not meeting the health standard, and this is definitely not a hotel. Do not be fooled. We lost money and paid an extra night that we didn't live in but it was impossible to stay there due to the insanitary living condition.

Our family of four, including two teenage girls, had an amazing stay! The location was perfect—within walking distance of all the major attractions, restaurants, and shopping. Roberto went above and beyond to make our trip special, always available to help and offering great local recommendations. The property was comfortable, clean, and ideal for a family. We truly felt at home and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Two words for the 1-star review. Bed bugs. We found bugs and reported to the front desk. We literally took several of them down in a cup to show them. The young lady at the desk was not really sure what to do. We asked about other properties, but were met with a blank stare. We ended up moving across the hall, but heard the people in the room next door complaining about the same thing. Location was amazing, but it is small comfort when you can't sleep.
Worst hotel ever! AVOID IT! When we arrived room was full of ants o the floor. Only solution from the hotel was to pay more for a superior room or stay that night in the room with ants and next day they Will clear. That's not an option! If we pay for a room and it's not in proper condition is your fault not ours. We booked in another hotel for that night (we arrived at night to that New hotel, our room wasnt available because of a misunderstanding and without problem they gave us a superior room at the same price, that is what we expected from a 4 star hotel) Next day we came back to Il campo Marzio to check if they have a room for us as we had already paid 3 nights. They gave us the same room with the same ants. We request a total refund, they agreed but we would have to call next week to the headquarters. It was imposible to contact them by phone, by email they told us that they Will study our problem and we'll have a reply. NEVER HEARD OF THEM AGAIN, despite multiples emails sent. We recovered our money through our bank which canceled the payment, but not from the hotel. This is NOT A 4-STAR HOTEL: very low quality room and not a professional response. EU and Italy authorities have been told about this fraud.
STAY AWAY! Worst experience by far, do not book! The room did not match the description or pictures at all. But the worst of all, after the first night we were covered in BEDBUGS bites! The beds where crawling with them.. We confronted the reception with it, but they did not have any other available room for us to stay in. The only option was to stay in the same bed full of bed bugs.. So we had to book another hotel to have a place to sleep, that where not infested. I then spent 2 days trying to get a refund for the remaining days we had booked, but the "manager" was not responding and there was nothing they could do, but they would contact us as soon as the manager was back. Havent heard a word from them.
