I highly recommend this hotel. It is exceptionally well located, within walking distance of the Vatican and most of Rome's major tourist attractions, so there is no need to rent a car. The staff is warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. The included breakfast exceeded our expectations. The hotel is also impeccably clean. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose this hotel again. Gravier.

Location is good - near to Vatikan. Supermarket is not far away. Beds were not so comfortable. I was bouncing any time my husband moved even a bit. Covers of the bed were not clean. Shower in the bathroom was smelling bad. You can hear noise from outside or from hallway. During breakfast, I saw ants on the bread. Some plates were having few stains. But the coffee was really good. Not a 4 star hotel.
Great location and excellent service! 4.5 stars The hotel's location is excellent, just a few blocks from Vatican City and close to bus stations, Castel Sant'Angelo, and the Tiber River. You can even walk to downtown Rome, the Colosseum, and the Trevi Fountain. The service is unbeatable; everyone was very attentive. The breakfast they offer is very complete, including fruit, protein, drinks, and pastries, among other things. The breakfast hours are also very convenient, from approximately 7:00 to 10:00 AM. As for the rooms, they are comfortable and spacious, and the bathroom was clean and functional. The only minor detail is that they could work a bit more on the cleanliness of the blankets, as a few of them had stains. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay there again.
Location: Great! 10-minute walk to the Metro and to St. Peter's Basilica. 15-minute walk to the Vatican Museum and Castel Sant'Angelo. Rooms: Spacious enough. Restroom size was great. Shower size is tiny, but that is normal for Italy. Beds were decent enough. Armoire for hanging up stuff and a single chair. Rooms have a TV. Be careful as our window opened directly to the street. No screen or bars, which was awesome, but be careful with young ones. Amenities: The air conditioning (A/C) was fantastic. I was there during the 100F (40C) heatwave during the summer of 2026 and it made all the difference being able to go to a nice, cool place and rest after a day of walking in the sun. No internal laundry room (coin-operated machines for self-service), no pool, no gym. Only the room, breakfast and paid laundry service, unless I am mistaken. Free WiFi and it was speedy. Staff: The staff was awesome, knowledgeable and friendly. Big thanks to Alessandro who really filled us in about the city, the culture and getting around the town. Breakfast: Typical Italian hotel breakfast (we stayed in 3 during our trip). Espresso, American coffee, cappuccino, macchiato, hot chocolate, cornettos (croissants), toast, jam/jelly, cereal, pineapple juice, guava juice (maybe), OJ, yogurt (plain and sometimes fruit), milk, ham, bologna, cheese, scrambled eggs and hot dog (yes, hot dog, not sausage or bacon). Basic to moderate? Yes. But it filled me up and easily got me through to lunch, especially since we walked most of the sites the first two days we were there. Note: Only negative for me was the door lock on our door on the 3rd floor (4th floor for Americans, as you enter the premises on the Zero floor). The keycard device on our door didn't respond to our room keys, so every time one of us wanted to enter our empty room, we'd have to ask the front desk to open our door with the master key. It was a nuisance, but we never had to wait for them to do so, as they made it the priority to let us in. Hopefully they'll have it fixed soon.
We had recently a family get together trip and we all met in Rome, Italy (A total of 14 people) and stayed at the Grand Hotel Olympic for 2 weeks, using Rome as our home base. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel's location is fantastic and within easy walking distance of many major points of interest. The staff members were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating to our large group. Shout out to Monica and all the other that work on the front desk. As for the rooms, they were clean and comfortable—nothing overly luxurious, but absolutely perfect for travelers like us who just need a reliable place to rest and sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The only downside was the hot water; on a few different days, we had to take cold showers and couldn't quite figure out why. Aside from that minor issue, everything else was great. We would definitely recommend it for group travel!
