We had a really nice experience at this hotel. We had 2 rooms, and 1 was ready right when we arrived around 10:30am. It was such a nice surprise. They even managed to get us 2 rooms on the same floor eventually. The hotel is small but clean with lots of closet space. The location to the train station is convenient for walking with luggage. The rooftop is lovely and it was a nice spot for snacks after walking around all day. We were with 2 adults and 2 teens (16 and 12) and have no complaints!
This has to be one of the most uncomfortable hotels I’ve ever stayed in. We were here for four days on the 7th floor with a balcony, directly beneath the restaurant on the 8th floor. You can hear everything happening above until the restaurant closes.
The AC in our room had major issues. I understand it was nearly 100 degrees every day during our visit, but you would expect a professional, name‑brand hotel to have reliable air conditioning. Our room stayed hot all day long. After 11 p.m. it would finally start to cool down, but never enough to feel comfortable.
The hotel has three small elevators, and at least one seemed to be out of service the entire stay. Water pressure was also extremely poor. And don’t waste your time or money on the breakfast - the same quality is offered for free at other hotel brands.
The best hotel. I had a twin room with my sister. Comfortable, clean, large rooms with all the amenities, house slippers and robes provided. The hotel is centrally located which enables sightseeing within a walking distance, we even walked to the Vatican making short stops along the way. The breakfast buffet was amazing with so many options, breads, sweet pastries, fruits etc., staff friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay here if I ever go to Rome again.
Had wonderful time at this hotel with my husband. The staff are so friendly welcoming they made our stay so special. Was there for 4 nights but could easily have stayed longer. Rooms were clean and up to date. Hotel is quiet and the rooftop dining was a beautiful touch especially seeing the city lit up at night. Easy access to metro and lots to walk around and see. Would highly recommend and definitely return.
Best Western Plus Hotel Universo was absolutely fantastic! The staff was welcoming, warm, accommodating, answered all questions with specificity, care and patience, and offered up terrific suggestions for restaurants in the area and activities. The lobby and public areas were beautifully maintained. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and the toiletries were top notch. They also have a gym with terrific basic equipment and again, very well maintained. Wi-Fi was excellent. The hotel is within walking distance of Termini train station (about 10 minutes), so a great central point for our stay. Thank you to the entire staff for a wonderful trip with my mother!
