Lovely rooms. Hot water for showers and basin. Fully functioning AC. Good vibes and good food. Breakfast was monotonous for 3 days but taste was brilliant. The girl at the reception is extremely sweet and can speak English very well. Overall an amazing and relaxing experience.

We had a fantastic stay! Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully quiet. All the staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful, especially Daniele at the front desk, who always greeted us with a cheerful smile and answered any questions we had. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable. We would happily stay again. Grazie mille!
Stayed July 1-4 with family of 5. Three kids, ages 11 months, 4 and 6 years. 1) Everyone was SO kind. From the man during the day at the front desk, to the man in the white shirt (I can’t remember his name) who brought our luggage to and from our room, gave us a tour and helped us when needed, to the incredibly kind wait staff at breakfast and the lovely woman who serviced our room. Grazie Mille to all of you! 2) our room was incredible. Two stories: living area, kitchen downstairs. Upstairs was a bathroom, room with 2 twin beds and an area with a king bed & baby crib they set up for us (we didn’t ask!) I am a nurse and a mom of littles, so I’m constantly worried about cleanliness — this place was immaculate. The hot water was quick and water pressure was great. The room was quiet & we didn’t hear any street noise unless it was an ambulance/police, which we would expect. My daughters loved the little cat that lived outside the window. 3) the pool was fantastic. It was deep which meant cool, refreshing water. Plenty of chairs for everyone. Absolute must with kids in a Rome summer. There’s a bar with drinks and food, we did not order but it was cute and the menu reasonable. 4) location - quiet neighborhood, easy walk to Parioli neighborhood for gelato and restaurants. Villa Borgese and Bioparco (zoo) within easy walking distance. We did a tour for the Roman sites, and they picked us up at the hotel. Far from the hustle and bustle, but I liked that. Might be difficult for those who have issues walking long distances or don’t want to taxi/use public transport. 5) breakfast was fresh, coffee was good, they were so attentive to our family. I loved our stay. It had the perfect Italian charm that I was looking for and reminded me of my Nonna and Nonno. To everyone at Aldrovandi, Grazie Mille from our family! We will be back! **For the negative reviews, I’m not sure what they’re talking about. Be kind, courteous and respectful when traveling & you will have a great time! (They were strict about jumping and diving in the pool and I was grateful for that. Parents have to watch their kids and respect others around them!). The entire place was so clean - even the pool which had several trees surrounding it!
We stayed here in June 2026, we are a couple in our 40s we paid around 250 quid a night and stayed 6 nights. The staff are friendly and willing to help with any questions we had or help we needed. The air-conditioning is dated but worked well. The hotel is crying out for a refurb, it could be a real gem again. The room we got had two floors and connected by a tiny curving staircase that was very difficult to get up, nevermimd with a case. Breakfast was pretty basic, juice was from concentrate, eggs smelled funny and were sloppy. By the 4th breakfast we just had a coffee and ate out. Pool is kept clean and tidy and a nice visit when its hot. Lots of children jumping in the pool when we had a pool day, which was OK but a little annoying. Hotel is a bit far out, on 3 & 19 tramlines but isnt direct, or 15 mins walk to Flaminio Tube station. If you get this very cheap then its a deal, otherwise its a long walk with not so great breakfast
Just an incredibly lovely stay at this luxurious hotel! Our family of four (2 parents, 14-year old, 11-year old) stayed five nights in June 2026 and couldn't have enjoyed a better time. We originally booked two rooms due to limited availability, but one of the larger apartments became available and we were able to enjoy staying together. The highlight of the stay was clearly the beautiful pool, a rare find it seemed but such a necessity since it was 85+ degrees F everyday. Clear, cold water; shady or sunny seating for everyone; a snack bar; a welcomed activity to break up busy days of walking, exploring, and discovering. The location only garners 4/5 stars because of the extra step it requires to get to many of the main attractions, but we'd book again because the benefits of the breakfast, the pool, the room sizes, and the excellent staff are fully worthwhile. A little bit of research and willingness to utilize the tram, bus, and metro will go a long way for you. We used the tram and bus to get to the Policlinico metro stop to get to Termini for our day trip to Pompeii via high speed rail, as well as to the Colosseum. We took Ubers to/from Vatican because of the early morning tour. But, we enjoyed walking through Villa Borghese and walking to the Flaminio metro stop area; just be ready to walk uphill on your way back. There's also a Carrefour supermarket 10 mins away on foot, which was very convenient. A special appreciation to the hotel staff team - they were very attentive, helpful, and kind throughout our stay and helped make it special. I can't recommend them and this property enough!
