We had a wonderful time. Location is perfect. Service is outstanding. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. We were frequent visitors of the very cozy roof top bar on the fifth floor. It was a wonderful experience

Stayed 7 x nights. Due to delays with our flights, we needed to add 2 x nights to our stay, and changed rooms after the 1st 5 nights. Hotel is near many attractions so we walked everywhere. The roof top terrace is lovely to unwind and enjoy a drink. All staff were professional and accommodating at all times. All rooms were clean. The rooms were stayed in the last 2 x nights were quiet and well air-conditioned. The downside was the room we stayed in the 1st 5 x nights: very noisy at night, room small and difficult to find room for suitcases. Bathroom spacious, but nowhere to place anything. Mattresses very hard. Overall, if we secure a room away from the street noise, we would like return. I highly rate the hotel staff.
If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. Our stay was a complete nightmare from the moment we checked in. We immediately ran into multiple issues: our second room key didn't work, the in-room safe wouldn't open, there was no iron in the room, and the room phone was broken, meaning we couldn't even call reception for assistance. The worst part came later that evening. After returning from dinner, we walked into our room to find the floor completely soaked from a leak coming from the bathroom above. Water had spread across the room and even got onto my husband's clothes. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff had us clean up the water ourselves. To make matters worse, they told us they didn't have another room available for us to move into. At that point, it was around 11:00 p.m., so we had no realistic option but to stay in a flooded room. The rest of the night was miserable. The room was uncomfortably hot, the bed only had a thick comforter with no lighter blanket, and the pillows were terrible—one was rock hard while the other was completely flat. Normally, we would have called reception to ask for different bedding or pillows, but the room phone still didn't work, leaving us with no way to contact anyone. The most frustrating part has been the hotel's response afterward. We explained everything and requested a refund, but they refused, claiming we were "happy" the night before. That couldn't be further from the truth. We weren't happy—we were simply stuck. It was late at night, there were no available rooms to move us to, and we had no choice but to make the best of an awful situation. Maintenance issues can happen at any hotel. What matters is how they're handled. This hotel failed at every opportunity. Between the broken room amenities, the flooded room, the lack of assistance, the inconvenience of cleaning up water ourselves, the uncomfortable night, and the refusal to make things right afterward, this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. I would not recommend staying here.
My review is only for the roof top bar and not the hotel. We went there with my wife for cocktails. When we arrived on 29.06 at 21:45 the waitress asked if someone led us to the table we where about to sit, and we explained that we chose it ourselves. There were many empty tables. She was extremely rude and showed us another table without giving us any chance. There was not any reservation and it was obvious that she decided to move us to another table on her own, just because.... Of course we left.... And thankfully we found next to it the amazing salloto 42 ! Excellent cocktails and polite waitress!!!!
We absolutely loved the 9Hotel Cesari! The staff was so very welcoming when we arrived. We arrived early in the morning so they quickly stored our luggage so we could get on with touring until check-in. The rooftop bar is amazing with beautiful views of other rooftop gardens, extremely attentive staff and very comfortable furniture. It was a great start to our first evening in Rome to have a pre-dinner drink on the roof. The rooms are small, but very comfortable - an excellent use of space. The breakfast on the roof every morning is amazing - so many choices and the breakfast staff is very accommodating. Breakfast was included in our room so we enjoyed a lovely breakfast everyday before we started out. The Concierge was very helpful in booking a car to pick us up from the airport. I emailed them ahead of time for this service. They also helped us book transportation to the train station for our train to Sorrento. The location of the hotel is wonderful. It is a short - couple of block - walk to the Trevi Fountain. Have a drink at the Trevi Hotel bar looking out over the fountain. The hotel is also a short walk to the Trastevere neighborhood for amazing restaurants. Don't forget to get gelato at Giolitti which is considered the best gelato in Rome. I really cannot say enough about 9Hotel Cesari! Love this little boutique hotel. Hope you do, too!
