Company was great! The caves were super cool and the water was very warm! Sea life was just ok but that is expected.

Sebastian and his crew did an excellent job taking us out to dive and guiding our dive in the Marietas Islands. He was clearly knowledgeable and knew the area really well. Plus, we were able to visit the Hidden Beach (Playa Del Amor) on the day we were here, which I highly recommend if it's an option. Sebastian also took videos of us while we were diving and shared them with us afterwards, which is much appreciated. I would definitely use Sebastian again. Highly recommended.

I booked with Ocean Adventures about a month before coming to Salyulita with my family. They are a smaller shop and don't take larger groups which appeals to me. Communication was great leading up to my dives. When Iarrived, I discovered that I'd be the only diver that day. Two other divers cancelled. The shop could easily canceled the dive. Taking out a single client is still a lot of work and it's expensive, but they didn't do that. It's not all about the money. They want to take care of people. I got a ride from the shop in Sayulita to the harbor with the owner. Great guy. What a great experience on the dive. Ricardo was a fantastic dive master. This was only my third dive and he took the time to make sure I was comfortable and ready to go. He gave me some tips that weren't taught in the classes that made my dive so much easier. Tons of fish, stunning rock formations, and diving through the tunnels was the highlight. If you want a more personal, relaxed trip instead of a rushed dive with 20 other people, this is where to book. 5 stars

2-dive day trip to Marietas Islands was perfect. Ephraim was a great dive master/guide. Sebastian & his entire team were fun, professional, knowledgeable, very helpful. They also have access to numerous other dive sites near PV. Can’t wait to get back here & dive again.

The google map link provided on the TripAdvisor website and confirmation email I received for the pickup location was incorrect. After driving two hours to get there, it led me to a back alley in a residential area. After driving around for 45 minutes and asking locals for assistance, I finally found the actual meeting point, but by that time, it was too late (see circled location that is INCORRECT in photos). Oceano Adventure has a small sign on the ground that is unreadable from the road, and there are no signs at all on the storefront making it next to impossible to find. I made four attempts to contact the dive shop "Oceano Adventure" in Sayulita prior to the scheduled pickup time to get proper directions, but no one responded. Ultimately, after they had left me behind, I received a message on WhatsApp indicating that the situation was my fault. This is outrageous. Experiences like these are the nightmares one hears about when dealing with inferior businesses that are only focused on getting your money. I was told that a manager would contact me to address the issue, but of course, they had already taken my money and I received no follow-up. The individuals who messaged me on WhatsApp were essentially just copying and pasting automated replies to discourage me from continuing to reach out. They did not even suggest rebooking for another day. They simply took my money and effectively told me to leave them alone. It is recommended to choose well-established, reputable companies like Vallarta Adventures to avoid the truly unpleasant experience I went through.

The Oceana team was great! They took care of everything start to finish and taught us a lot about the area too. An excellent team who know how to make a dive excursion special. Thank you to Sebastian, Laura, Alexis, and Gabriel for a beautiful day under the sea!

I have completed my Advanced + Rescue courses, and done a number of day trips with Oceano over the past 3 years and every single time has been an incredible day! Sebastian's team is always kind, knowledgeable, and take care to ensure all divers on the boat are safe, diving within their limits, and enjoying their tour. And the cookies they provide are my absolute fave :)

My diving the Marietas Islands experience with Oceano Adventures was excellent. Casper did an exceptional job of presenting our dive plans. I have new to diving but have a number of dives under my belt. I find that I get a bit nervous each time I show up to dive when it has been months since my prior dives. Casper covered the dive plan in detail including all of those things that I tend to wonder if I will remember. He really put me at ease prior to our jumping in. In leading our dives, he did a great job of reading the group, and provided enough space to thoroughly enjoy our own, individual experience, but did regular check-ins and made it a point to point out cool finds like moray eels and other easy to miss wildlife. The drift and wall dives both provided lots of cool things to see and wonderfully clear and warm water to enjoy it in. An added surprise was getting to swim through a small tunnel towards the end of our second dive. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised that a sandwich and water were both provided on the boat. Even though this is set up as a 1/2 day excursion, I recommend planning it to consume most of the day. If leaving from Sayulita, you end up with about a 45 minute van ride each direction in conjunction with a similar amount of time on the water to get to and from the Marietas. Also, my previous dives with other organizations, have averaged 60 minutes. I was a bit surprised that these dives were only 45 minutes each, limited by the National Park rules if I remember correctly.

I just got back from the combo tour to the Marietas Islands and Hidden Beach, and it was absolutely a highlight of my trip! The entire crew (Laura, Casper, Jonathan, and Oswaldo) was fantastic, professional, and so much fun. I did my discover dive with Casper, and he made me feel completely safe and confident underwater. Even though the visibility wasn't perfect, he did his best to capture some awesome footage of my adventure. Jonathan was our guide for the swim to the Hidden Beach, which was a little more strenuous than I had anticipated. His encouragement and patience made all the difference! He was also incredibly knowledgeable during the snorkeling portion, explaining so much about the local wildlife. I highly recommend this tour! It's the perfect combination of adventure and stunning natural beauty, run by a truly amazing team. If you're thinking about it, just book it!

Another wonderful diving day spent with Océano Adventures! As always, dive master Casper and Captain Oswaldo were absolute professionals and took the best care of everyone.

We had an amazing time diving with Oswaldo/Casper - he was an excellent dive lead and gave us a helpful and thorough refresher on the boat since we hadn’t been diving in quite a few years. He also took good care of our dad, who was struggling at moments. The hidden beach was also gorgeous - totally worth it! Captain Oswaldo did a great job. The dive shop was helpful and responsive as we planned our outing with only a day’s notice. Highly recommend!

Edwardo and Casper took great care of us. Our group hadn't dived in a decade and they helped refresh our memories and made us feel safe. The trip was beautiful and we saw dolphins on the way back. The food was appreciated aswell.

Wonderful! Casper, Jonathan, and Captain Oswaldo were guides for our family of five for a trip to the Hidden Beach, and to snorkel nearby. Our three kids are ages 15, 14, and 9. Nine-year old was reticent at first, as the tunnel that leads to Hidden Beach showed itself ;) Jonathan guided him through, with our son staying calm and having a great time. The trip was exciting and adventurous, and also calm and serene. We recommend it for all!

Osvaldo and Osvaldo were fantastic with us the whole day - we are beginner divers and we felt VERY safe with “Casper.” He did a great job of reiterating all of the safety tips because we had a nervous diver in the group. He took great pictures of us, made sure we dove successfully and safely and we got to visit the island! The tuna sandwich was delicious and we really recommend this company.

We had an amazing experience with Oswaldo and Casper! We booked a private tour and did two dives - one at El Morro and one at Marietas. Such beautiful scenery! Casper was very attentive, knowledgeable and patient. I highly recommend them, and we’d book again next time we visit! Thank you!

We had a great experience learning to dive with Oceano Adventure and I would highly recommend them to others. My 14 year old daughter earned her open water dive certification and I completed a refresher. The dive master, Oswaldo, was professional, patient, and gave very clear directions. If you’re in the area and want to learn to dive, I highly recommend working with Oswaldo. The entire experience was first rate and easy.

I don’t write reviews, but for the experience I just had, it is a must! We had a two dive trip - BUT - with a trip to the Hidden Beach as our surface interval. Due to rains, the visibility wasn’t great. However, Casper was able to get us extremely close to a Hawkbill Turtle, two Octopus, and two different types of eels. Then, he and Laura took us and two snorkelers to Hidden Beach. The waves were rough, almost filling the entire cave and yet, they were able to get us all safely across - including our 10 year old. The second dive was great, with Casper in the front and Laura in the back, we felt very safe with the visibility and were also able to work on buoyancy and current skills. The boat driver was also amazing (his name is hard to pronounce (same as Casper’s official name). We were in moderate to heavy swells for a boat that size and he was able to feather the engine, when needed, to safely and comfortably ride with and against them. This is an amazing shop with amazing staff. I will be diving with them every time I am in Sayulita!

Caspar, Laura, and Osvaldo were a great team and so helpful. We were diving with my newly certified 10-year old and they were so patient and kind to her and she had a wonderful time. The visibility was great and we saw octopus, eels, and tons of puffer fish :)

We had an absolutely wonderful time diving with Oceano Adventures in Sayulita! One of the best aspects was the small group size, which made for a truly personalized experience. Our guide, Casper, was fantastic – he could easily point out interesting marine life and features to everyone, ensuring no one missed a thing. While the water visibility in Sayulita isn't always the best, we still had a thoroughly enjoyable dive. I was thrilled to see plenty of rays and eels, which made the experience incredibly rewarding. The highlight, however, had to be spotting blue-footed boobies – that was a really cool and unexpected bonus! A special thank you to the entire crew, especially Jonathan and Casper, for making it such a great day. Their professionalism, knowledge, and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our adventure. Highly recommend Oceano Adventures for anyone looking for a memorable dive in Sayulita!

Casper, Oswaldo and Jonathan are a great team and made the day perfect. They were kind, attentive and did everything they could to make sure everyone had an incredible day. The communication before the dive was clear and everything ran very smoothly.

It was okay. There were a few hiccups. Went to the Marietas Islands with them. They didn't have fins my size (an average woman's foot size), but they did have several pairs of large and extra-large fins aboard. They tried to give me children's fins to use. I ended up using a pair of one of the crew's fins with booties so it worked out okay, but that seems like a big oversight. I pre-ordered and paid for a veggie sandwich for lunch, but they didn't label the sandwiches everyone ordered, so when they passed them out, it was random. Someone else got my vegetarian sandwich, and they handed me a ham sandwich. It would have been easy for them to label them and avoid this issue. I'm not sure it occurred to them that some people have dietary restrictions. They also said they'd give me a ten percent discount and apply it to my bill. They did not. It would have been fine if they hadn't offered, but I don't like it when they say they will do something and then don't. The dive guides were very nice, and the operations were efficient.

Ailen and Santiago were amazing! My son did the Discovery course with Santi (skills) and Ailen (open water) and they were both wonderful pros. Ailen was a knowledgeable and attentive dive master on my dive. My other family members snorkeled and they had a solid experience, as well! Sebastian was super responsive in helping set everything up. We loved chatting with him to and from the dock. While Sayulita isn't the best dive destination, it's always great to get in the water and this shop knows how to do it right. All around, what a adventurous and enjoyable time. Will definitely do this again with them next time down!

Sebastian's Oceano Adventures team is amazing! We did the PADI certification with a few hours in the pool, a practice day in the ocean and finally a day at Marieta Islands to enjoy the beautiful underwater world. We felt in very good hands, as all team members were very experienced and were rescue divers. We also had fun conversations. We will definitely come again!

We hadn’t been diving in about 8 years and were a little nervous. The crew was great from the get go and made us feel safe and confident. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and provided us with aid when we needed it. We took 2 dives around the Marietta Islands. The water temperature was a bit chilly, but not too bad. The visibility was just okay. We were told the best visibility is during the time of year when the water is the coldest. Overall we had a great experience and saw lots of sea life, including an octopus. It was a good price, which made it worth it. This was definitely not one of my favorite locations to dive, but that has nothing to do the crew. We got to see Blue-footed Boobies, and Humpback Whales, an added bonus! I highly recommend Oceano Life for your diving excursions!

Very friendly staff and great customer service. The dive equipment was in good shape. The dive site was very interesting and we seen a psir of hump back whales close to the boat.

Highlight of my trip! Everyone was so friendly, our dive master Isreal is second to none! I definitely will be back and will be scheduling more than just the two dives.

Great crew, amazing diving, Casper (Osvaldo) was a wonderful scuba guide, showing us eels, manta rays, turtles and everything else! Sebastian and Micah did a great job with my daughter and wife who snorkeled. Captain Osvaldo got us there and back with ease and we saw whales breaching several times. Over a professional team and a great day of diving and snorkeling!

Had an amazing time learning all the skills needed to dive alone with a great team at Oceano , the instructors were knowledgeable and very informative.

First time diving in 14 years and at first I was reluctant and almost opted out. The dive master was encouraging and supportive, and even made a point to keep eye contact while descending, and staying by my side until she verified that I was feeling more confident. Thank you for a truly great experience where I learned a lot about myself (and about the wildlife we saw!).

It was an amazing trip. Our guide Santiago was super informative and helpful. It was just us (our family of 5) on the boat which felt really special. The islands are about a 35 minute trip across the ocean and in the way there we saw whales jumping!! The water was a bit cold, fine for the adult but after 30 mi it’s our kids were ready to get out. While in the ocean our tour guide stayed with us and made adjustments to ensure the safety of our children. When getting back into the boat the kids were exhausted and starving so the sandwiches and sodas were a great surprise that I had forgotten about. We saw more whales on the way back into the dock which again was a great surprise. The captain of the boat was super attentive and as soon as one was spotted would move toward it at a safe distance to see more. I highly recommend this trip. While the water was a bit murky and I have had better visability on other snorkel trips the excitement of the boat ride, the kindness of the guide and the whole experience was super lovely.

Absolutely recommend. I am very beginner and Stefano and the rest of the crew made me feel so comfortable the whole time. They also made an effort to spot whales when we were on the boat! Thanks all for a great day!

I tried calling/emailing many times to make sure they did resort certification for my teens. No one responded and the day of they said they couldn’t and refused a refund. I was only charged 2 days before and had they responded to any of my attempts, we would have found someone else. Instead, my kids Christmas present was ruined and everyone else was booked for the rest of our trip. They were completely rude and unhelpful. There was only 1 other person on the dive and 5 of us. So they sent us on our way and kept every penny. Huge disappointment trying to entertain sad teenagers for Christmas

Excellent dive company. Got to dive solo with Emily and she was a great DM. Very personable and very friendly. Would dive with here anytime!!! Boat was fine and overall experience was great. Sara was great and easy to communicate with. Fun dives!!!

This was my second time with Oceano Adventures. Once again, it was a great experience. I dove with my buddy Ian. The woman at their office, who checked us in was awesome very accommodating. She had such a positive vibe. I’m sorry I don’t remember everybody’s names. The dive master and crew were very professional, knowledgeable, and made it a very fun experience. This is my second time diving with Oceano Adventures. I highly recommend booking a dive with them.

The visibility was really good and we saw lots of lovely fish in the Marietas. The team at Oceano were really nice and professional and I'd definitely recommend diving with them!

We took a taxi from San Pancho and arrived at the dive shop in Sayulita no problems. We were greeted nicely and then shuttled to the marina for the 20-30min trip to Marietas Islands. The diving went well and water was very warm. Our guide and boat crew looked after us very well! The whole day was excellent. Highly recommend Oceano Adventuras!

I was looking to do a scuba dive while on my trip with family and planned it through Océano Adventures and had a wonderful time. My guide was Anna and it was only me diving so she was my personal guide while the other guests snorkeled. The dive sites were wonderful and got to see some amazing fish and the blue footed boobies. I would definitely come back to them for another dive. Their groups are small so it’s a great experience to avoid crowds. Every one in the crew was friendly and helpful. Thanks to Océano!

This was a very well-organized trip to a beautiful location. The boat crew and dive leader were professional, enthusiastic and provided a memorable experience. The visibility was great with tons of marine and bird life to see. We'd definitely return for another trip with Oceano Adventures. Thanks!

We were well taken care of! The Dive Master and crew handled everything. We enjoyed the smaller boat versus the larger catamarans other outfits use. Felt safe and Dive Master was knowledgeable. Dive itself was a cool environment - we had some current and poor viz that day unfortunately but always a good time underwater! Give yourself lots of time if traveling by cab to get to the shop. We left from Bucerias and was about 1 hour due to construction and getting stuck behind slow trucks.

It started by the meeting point. Not being findable in either Google maps or Apple Maps. I did find where their “office was listed” so I went there. Arrived 15 minutes early. The only thing there was a van, no actual office. No one was there. I sent a text and email with no response. I looked thru my email to find a message from the tour operator at 5am saying the reservation was cancelled due to weather even though it was a perfect day. So basically wasted two hours of my morning. Later that day I checked with two other scuba shops in town who both said they went out and conditions were great. When I mentioned my story to one he said was it “Oceano Adventures?” as if he seemed to know immediately who I was referring to. Think twice about booking with them if you actually want to do something on your vacation.

We went out for a dive trip to the Marietas Islands with Manuel and Ishmael. We saw some beautiful views both above and under water. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We felt very well looked after. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I had a lovely time on our diving tour with Oceano Adventures. Our instructor and other guides were professional and kept us safe in the ocean. It was a short ride from the shore to Marietas Islands, and we went to two destinations around the island, although one of the spots had poor visibility. Would highly recommend doing a tour with them if you are in Sayulita or Punta Mita.
