Gastronomic, Historical, And Cultural Tour In Sayulita

Moises was fantastic! He is friendly, knowledgeable, and so kind. It was my mother, myself, and Moises so the experience was very special. He knows the best places and the best people. The history and culture of the food was fascinating to learn, and delicious! If you want to understand the food culture, I highly recommend this tour.

I cannot recommend Luna Tours highly enough! We contacted them about arranging a private food, history, and culture tour for 13 of our wedding guests in Sayulita. Although they typically offer daytime tours, Alejandro and Moisés went out of their way to create a completely customized evening experience just for us, at an incredibly reasonable price. And WOW, did they deliver! These two were absolutely phenomenal. They were knowledgeable, engaging, funny, accommodating, and genuinely passionate about sharing their town with us. We learned so much about Sayulita's history and culture, visited the cemetery and beautiful Los Muertos Beach, and explored parts of town we might never have discovered on our own. We threw question after question at them, and they had thoughtful, fascinating answers for everything. And the FOOD! They introduced us to some of the most delicious food we had during our entire trip. From incredible local restaurants to desserts, every stop was fantastic. By the end, we were so full we couldn't possibly eat another bite! What made the experience especially memorable was how much Alejandro and Moisés clearly cared about making it special for our group. They were incredibly attentive, flexible, and wonderful to spend the evening with. Our guests talked about this tour for the ENTIRE rest of our trip! It was genuinely one of the highlights of our time in Mexico. Sayulita is an extraordinary little town with amazing food, culture, history, and people, and I cannot imagine a better introduction to it than the experience Luna Tours provided. If you're visiting Sayulita, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Alejandro and Moisés. You will absolutely not regret it!

If you are visiting Sayulita, you absolutely have to book this tour! We found it on Viator, and the smaller tour size made it feel completely personalized. Moises is an amazing guide—friendly, highly adaptable, and deeply knowledgeable about local history.  I unfortunately wasn't feeling my best on the day of our trip, but Moises completely accommodated us by shifting our walking tour into a golf cart tour so I could stay comfortable. He still curated an unforgettable itinerary for us. We got to taste amazing empanadas at Mary’s, grabbed excellent coffee and treats from Yvonchi right across from the iguana tree, sipped on delicious agua fresca, and had a blast feeding the iguanas. We never felt rushed, and the pace was perfect. If you take the walking route, definitely wear comfortable shoes and book the morning slot. Five stars for Moises and his genuine love for Sayulita!

We had the best time with Moisés, he showed us around, took us to some places that had some of the best food we’ve had in our life, and he taught us everything we could’ve wanted to know about the Sayulita. 10/10 would recommend.

Moisés was awesome, great way to start our trip. Showed us a few spots to eat and cool info about the history of the town and its people. Would definitely recommend for other families. The trip to the iguana tree was a highlight for our son. Thanks again.

A casual and comfortable stroll through Sayulita. With plenty of breaks to try delicious local tacos and drinks. Moses always had a gem of knowledge to share at each stop.

This was an amazing tour (Gastronomic, Historical Cultural in Sayulita) and Alejandro was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable, kind and flexible. I felt an immediate connection with him and we arranged another tour with him the next day that he custom designed for us based on our interests (a jungle beach tour in a buggy). Alejandro was amazing and so knowledgeable about Sayulita and everything we saw along the way. We had probably the best meal we’ve had in Mexico (and we come frequently). His English is impeccable and he also adjusted our tour on the fly to accommodate our daughters, who wanted to add a short time at the beach. He took us to a wild beach that we had to hike to on a short path to get to and we got back an hour past our allotted time with no extra charge! He also stocked cold drinks in his car and planned a quick stop along the way to see wild crocodiles in a mangrove swamp!

This is a wonderful experience where you get the opportunity to learn about not only Sayulita, but Nayarit in general. The tour blends history, culture, with a vibrant a delicious food tour. The tour was only a couple of hours and a complete game changer for our family and our understanding of the area. Moises, our guide, was so knowledgeable and made the tour special with his humor and positive attitude. We will definitely recommend this to anyone who visits!

Daniel was amazing!! He really went out of his way to show us the culture of Sayulita and he took his time and we did not feel rushed at all. We also loved his understanding of the culture and his care and concern for an older family member of our group. He was very mindful of our food preferences and allergies and just all around considerate. I am so glad we used this company!!! 20/10!!! Highly recommend

Alejandro and Moises did a great job leading this tour. They took us through the heart of Sayulita and introduced us to several local food spots we probably wouldn’t have found on our own. Along the way, they shared interesting background on the town’s history and the dishes we were trying, which really added to the experience. Alejandro was also very prompt and responsive during the planning process, which made everything smooth from the start. This is a great tour to do early in your trip—it’s a fun way to get oriented with Sayulita and try some delicious food.
