Tour guide is very friendly and Informative! No issue communicating in English. Got the most out of both experience for a half day tour!

The largest urban forest in the planet. We will take you on a panoramic view.
We visit the Corcovado Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue going through the Paineiras route. The 20-minute drive to the base of the statue takes you through the Tijuca Forest and gives you a preview of the landscapes ahead. The statue stands 710 meters tall and from this vantage point you have sweeping views of the city.
The cable car ride is done in 2 stages: begin at the boarding station to Urca Mountain (224 meters) and then from Urca Mountain to the top of the Sugarloaf Mountain (395 meters).

Superb guide (Guillermo?) and a very good driver was with us also. We felt very safe and very well looked after. He guided us through the crowds with ease and seemed to know all the other guides and officials. The minibus was comfortable and air conditioned. If you just want the two attractions in comfort and safety with expert professionalism without any other unwanted extra rubbish thrown in, this is absolutely perfect!
Good simple tour to see both attractions. Lorraine was a lovely guide. Unfortunately for us the weather was cosy so the views weren't as amazing as they could have been but that's the luck of the draw.
We specifically booked this tour as we did not want a long and extended city tour but just wanted to visit Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Sadly the organizer without informing us before we were picked up changed it to include extra stops so tour went from 5 hours to 6.5 hours.
Despite miserable rain and cold Temps, we had a lovely morning visiting Sugarloaf and Santo Christo with Lucas, our guide, who was very good at herding cats and making all feel welcome. Christo was humbling and beautiful. Highly recommend.
Don't book with them. We booked and paid in advance, got the confirmation, but the day before the tour, it was canceled without explanation.
Lidia was AMAZING, anyone coming to Rio needs to experience her, she speaks many languages and caters to everybody equally!!
We took our grandson on this tour with our guide bring Pierre. The trip was very good hot busy and lots of queuing but we expected that. The scenery was amazing and so worth the visit. However we were disappointed with the guide as he didn’t really engage with the group he didn’t sadly give us any more information than we already knew or read for ourselves. We had hoped for an insight into this beautiful city from someone who lives here.
Good experience for this tour. The guider Carlos is very nice and friendly. He always gave us some extra time to talk pictures. The pickup is on the time.
clear communication before tour! wonderful time frames for while we were at each location so the day was perfectly split between the 2 areas without rushing.
The tour was very very rushed, we honestly would have been better just ubering ourselves, the only nice thing was not having to navigate ourselves but other than that you are better off going yourself. We only had about 20 minutes at Christ the Redeemer, wish we had our actual time frame but they include the travel and getting the tickets. We enjoyed our 20 minutes just wish we had more time to really enjoy. The sugar loaf was about the same, felt really really rushed. Had no time to shop or try any food.
It was a well planned organization and thanks to our tour guide Lidia made our day easy for us. However, taking each person from their hotel took some time and in addition to that some people from the group did not respect the schedule. After the long day, I took another transport option to return to the hotel. May be visiting these places without any tour is more efficient thats what I thought at the end of the day.
The “tour” is really mostly transportation to the sites, which was great for our group as we didn’t really want to listen to hours of information, but rather visit Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer efficiently without having to worry about transportation. We were disappointed that we could not be picked up at our hotel in Leblon, since the tour description says it picks up from most hotels in Leblon. We had to walk maybe 20-30 minutes to another hotel for pickup. Tour guide gave us plenty of independent time to take photos and enjoy the sites, which was appreciated.
We booked this tour outside of our cruise. We had a great time at Christ the Redeemer but didn't have enough time to go to Sugarloaf Mountain and make it back to the cruise port in time. The Rio traffic was heavy. The tour guide and van was great. However, disappointed that we didn't get to see Sugarloaf. Needed 6 to 8 hours.
This was a very good tour. Marlady, our tour guides English was very good. She did a great job keeping us on schedule. She was very attentive and took good care of our group.
Our tour guide was very attentive and took excellent care of us throughout the tour. I commend her for her excellent attitude and professionalism.
Great tour, Lucas spoke good English and gave us good information. Christ redeemer beautiful, alot of steps, but also had escalator up and down. Dropped us off at Copacabana Beach too. Gondola ride beautiful, Lucas really took care of us.
It was an amazing and enlightening experience, at Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Laof. Well organized and the guide was very knowledgeable, personable and attentive
Efficient pickup & nice bus & small group & nice tour guide for tour of Rio’s 2 famous tour spots, Sugar Loaf & Christ the Redeemer.
The queue to climb Sugarloaf Mountain took hours. And in the end, when we went up, we saw almost nothing because of rain and clouds... Then we waited a long time on the way down. Finally, the guide wanted to continue to the statue of Jesus the Redeemer, which was also covered in clouds and rain... I said enough! There's no point in wasting time. In short, a waste of time and money
It was a lovely experience! Our guide was Úrsula, she was lovely, sweet, funny and knowledgeable! She managed to guide us through English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese seamlessly. I would absolutely book again. The only thing was - our trip was on a cloudy day, so we barely were able to see the Redeemer, and the whole city was covered in clouds, so aim for the best weather day throughout your stay to make the best of it!!
Went with a group of 11. We had a great time with Karen as our friendly and informative tour guide. It did not feel rushed, there was plenty of time for photo ops at each location. The communication was clear and timely, and made the experience smooth. Due to our hotel's location, we had to travel a short distance to a different hotel for pickup, which was communicated to us well in advance. Overall, this was a great way to see two of Rio's iconic locations with a single booking. Would book again.
The guide probably has an impossible task of herding several tourists through the most in demand sites in Rio within the timeline (4 hours) of the tour. Our tour ran over by 2 hours. Our guide seemed nervous and struggled to communicate effectively. No-one could hear what was being said, including the person sitting next to the guide! We’ve enjoyed many informative and fun tours with Viator guides but this experience left us very underwhelmed and starving!
The tour gave us what we wanted - visiting the 2 main Rio sites, without having to worry about organizing transport. In hindsight, we should have organized our own transport and visited the sites independently for the following reasons: 1) We had signed up for an English tour but we were added onto a predominantly Spanish tour. I understand some Spanish, so I could tell that the English explanation by the guide (Michaela), was always shorter, and the Spanish explanation was given first. Sometimes, she would even forget to give instructions in English. 2) We had thought that with a pre-booked tour, tickets would have been organized and moving through lines quicker. However, we had to wait for Michaela to go buy the tickets, and we had to queue up with the regular ticket holders - not Fast track or Priority. 3) It would have been significantly cheaper to go independently because of the Senior discount for the Sugarloaf cablecar. Michaela asked us whether we were over 60, but she was vague about the reason for asking. Turns out the senior ticket was half the price of the normal adult ticket, a R$100 saving for the tour operator. Considering the price of the tour was R$370 (we paid last year, currently R$400), that's a lot we could have saved for the two of us. 4) Whilst Michaela was nice, she didn't give a lot of explanation about Rio during the bus ride. Other tours we've been on had almost non-stop commentary 5) We knew we'd be picking people up along the way, but because some guests weren't on time, it ended up taking close to an hour.
'When did you go' we didn't!! Rio Carioca told us to wait between warehouse 3 and 4. There from 9 am no show. They were told we had no mobile/wifi yet they said they tried to ring us to find us! Useless Port staff tried ringing them 3 time no reply. They said tours usually pick up between 4 and 5!! The port was mobbed and no one held a sign and walked down to 3/4 where they told us! Port wifi was useless a minute or two before cutting out. Lost opportunity to visit the 2 most important sites in Rio. One main reason for selecting cruise. Not apologetic and now fighting for a refund via Viator.
Excellent tour with very personable guide Hector. Well organised and arranged to minimise the amount of queuing.
It was a wonderful experience going on this 4 hour trip before my flight with Francine at Rio de Janeiro. Francine was aware of my time constraint and took me to both these places and on the way showed me a few other places. She breezed me through the lines, described the historical significance and even took photos and videos on her phone as my phone had one of its camera that was water logged!! I would recommend Francine as a private guide if you are in Rio de Janeiro.
I did my tour with the tour guide named Marlady. She did a great job at thoroughly explaining the important Brazilian history. We got to see the beautiful scenic views and monuments that make Brazil what it is today! I went on this vacation alone, so she assisted in taking photos for me and even helped me make friends with other solo travelers! She really did make the overall experience fun and exciting! If you’re looking for a great time in Brazil, I highly recommend using Marlady as your tour guide! You won’t regret it!
It was a super tour and especialy a super talent guider who switched 4 languages English,Italian, Spanish , French ... She has also rich knowledges about the history and culture . We are very satisfied with such kind talent guider Úruglar
We joined this tour to Christ the Redeemer with great expectations, but unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. The weather on the day was absolutely horrible — heavy rain, poor visibility, and unsafe walking conditions. There was no sighting of the statue at all, which completely defeats the purpose of the tour. What made the situation worse was that we were not allowed to cancel or reschedule, despite the conditions being clearly unsuitable and even dangerous to walk in. I understand that the weather itself is out of the tour operator’s control, and I do take that into account. However, the decision to proceed with the tour regardless of safety and visibility is within their control. In conditions like pouring rain and zero visibility, the responsible approach would be to reschedule the entire tour or offer guests an alternative date. This would show care for both customer experience and safety. I am extremely unhappy with how this was handled and cannot recommend this tour unless weather conditions are guaranteed to be suitable.
The tour itself was interesting and certainly worth seeing. Crowds were way too much with inconsiderate people being intrusive on others tourists. The tour did not provide pick up to our hotel, so we had to make our way to them only for the guide & driver to be late leaving us to have to an Uber to the next stop. The guide was not as informative or as organised as we expected. A
I really liked our tour guide Joanna. She didn’t shy away from talking about history and politics and I learned a lot, found it very interesting. I think that was the part that was worth it. If you’re not into the history and just want to see the sights it might actually be easier to buy tickets to sugarloaf and Christ. I thought tour would be easier but tbh it was more convoluted.
The guide was not helpful. She was too interested in her phone. The microphone did not work and, although I booked a tour in English, she seemed to deliver more in Portuguese
On time, informational and really well done. Loved it. Our guide was very kind and attentive. Just the right amount of time to explore.
I went on a tour with Marleide, she was truly lovely, very careful with each one of us in the group and made sure we had the best experience. I recommend it 100% to have a beautiful stress free tour !
This is a great tour experience! Transportation was comfortable and efficient, and we had no problems getting into the venues. Our tour guide was kind and told us a bit of trivia during our van rides. We left in the morning time between 8:00 and 9:00 am, but viewpoints and queues were still very busy, so expect tourist crowds. However, this is worth it for the STUNNING views of Rio. We were given plenty of free time to roam both the Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer tourist areas. Both locations had bathrooms, souvenir shops, and some restaurants/coffee shops. I recommend this experience!
We had an incomparable afternoon seeing Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf. Ricarrdo was superb getting us where we needed to go, helping us skip the lines and knowing where to take us for the best pictures. Christ the Redeemer was surprisingly moving as we were up close to see the kind face of Jesus and his inviting, protecting open arms. And Ricarrdo got us to the top of Sugarloaf at just the best hour for the sunset and a breathtaking view of the entire city. He was super-knowledgeable and super patient. We could not recommend Ricarrdo and his company more.
The tour guide was knowledgeable, and the tour was fun. He also took some great pictures once we got to Christ The Redeemer.
Great experience! We went to the most famous places in Rio, and had a great lunch! Lu was the best tour guide! Highly recommend!
This was a great tour and worth the money. Our tour guide Karine was professional, knowledgeable, and punctual. The driver was safe as well. The van was comfortable and we had air conditioning. I would recommend booking with them.
Multiple booking on one trip pick ups very well planned and Tour guides amazing! Four languages spoke perfectly and bubbly energy made the day really enjoyable! Driver was brilliant and made to feel that he was well experienced in the areas he drove us and very safe with this pair!
Marlady was our tour guide and she was absolutely amazing! She made the experience even better. She was highly knowledgable, very attentive and overall amazing.
❌❌❌ DO NOT BOOK❌❌❌ I booked with this company a month out. They do not pick up from hotels as they claim. They called me the morning of to tell me to meet them some place else. It was impossible to meet them because of heavy traffic. I asked for a refund and they refused. Had to contact my bank. They will defraud you and steal your money. Find another company because this one was unreliable and untrustworthy.
Our guide Carlos was super nice, though, aside from that, it was a complete disaster. The itinerary they posted on the website was a lie, it said we'd start in Christ the Reedemer, but it was all a lie, we began in Paõ de Açucar and it was incredibly crowded and we had no time to take pictures in the spots that we wanted because we were an hour behind on schedule due to the organisation of the tour, we had booked precisely due to tue scheduling. Then we went to the Christ and it was over 45 mins till the acquisition of the tickets. All in all, 2//10. I would love a partial refund
Karen our Rep was lovely and friendly, she was very knowledgeable about all the sights. Everything was seamless on the day. Went up sugar loaf first things so there weren’t many crowds so the views were magnificent. We thought it was quite busy at Christ the Redeemer but apparently Karen said it was quiet. Well worth it.
They told me 8:45 pickup and at 10pm the night before they emailed me to arrive 1 hour earlier and made me pay for my own taxi to get there!!!
Our guide, Greta Lamberti, was marvellous and our tour was very enjoyable. We covered quite an area of Rio and always felt safe. The tour was informative and well organised. It was a special birthday present.
The group visited two of the most iconic landnarks in Rio de Janeiro. The organization and schedule were on high level but the guide Marlady was top. She is very friendly, informative and flexible with regards to the time for transportation, exploring the sites and shoping. I strongly recommend her.
This tour was fun. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and guided us really well. I think the time we spent in each stop was good and overall a really good experience. The only negative I would give and it’s just to give a heads up to everyone else booking is that it took over an hour driving around to pick everyone up at their hotels which was a bit much personally but at least they picked us up. We did the half day and I found the duration of time perfect.
We had a great time - I highly recommend :) Meeting point is accessible and other tours pick up there too. Our tour guide Carlos was friendly and answered all of our questions about Rio. The transportation is comfortable and safe. The tour allows for time to walk and explore on your own which is very nice. Highly recommend. Carlos was amazing :)
