The bike ride was excellent. We had a short time in Rio & we felt we saw it all ( almost !). Douglas was wonderful!! He was patient, very knowledgeable & funny ! I highly recommend this tour.

Itinerary
Meet your guide in the Copacabana neighborhood at 9am and get equipped with your bike and helmet. The group is limited to 10 people, to ensure personalized attention from your guide.
Begin with a tour of the South Zone, including the famous beach of Copacabana.
This is the most historic and famous hotel in Rio de Janeiro. There is time to take pictures and an explanation about history and current importance.
After the waterfront areas, head north to cultural neighborhoods like Botafogo, Urca, Gloria, and Flamengo.
As you walk the streets of these neighborhoods, your guide tells tales and gives background history. Next, move on to the old city center where you will stop at the bohemian district of Lapa.
One of the 4 big highlights in the city, together with the Christ Statue, Sugarloaf Mountain and Copacabana. Make your favorite picture and enjoy the history of this masterpiece of art.
Continue on to Rio's center and stop in Cinelandia Square, which will transport you back to Rio´s colonial past. Visit the famous mosaic steps, Escadaria Selarón, and get acquainted with a different, colorful side of the Rio. After, enjoy a traditional Brazilian lunch at a nearby restaurant.
he last stretch of the cycling tour passes by the beautiful lake, officially named Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, encircled by hills covered in Atlantic rain forest.

Our fantastic guide Ulysses revealed Rio as a diverse and exciting city full of history, and culture. He answered questions about the politics, the people and character of the city. Excellent!
The best way to see Rio de Janeiro in one day! Our guide took us to highlights like the beaches and the famous steps but also to the homebases of the big Rio football teams, an impressive old cemetery and good places to eat and have cafezinho. We recommend this tour to everybody, who likes to feel part of this big and beautiful city, cycling along the bike lanes and through the smaller streets.
Wonderful Bike Tour of Rio We love to take bike tours of the major cities we visit throughout the world. Marco was our guide for an excellent tour of Rio. We biked from 9 AM – 4 PM throughout the entire city and were able to see many of the main attractions (Sugerloaf, beaches, harbors, Christ the Redeemer, Cemetery, downtown buildings, etc.) from different vantage points. Marco was a very personable and really helped us learn about the city that he knows and loves. Great tour! Highly recommend!
Two of us did the full day tour with Ulysses. Bikes were fine - single speed and not for the Tour de France but good for riding around Rio for a a few hours. Most of the route was on cycle track and very flat. The route was interesting and Ulysses was fun and informative.
It was one of the best bike tours I've ever had!!! Rio de Janeiro is gorgeous city with a lot of well prepared bike lanes. Marco showed us around and shared many cool stories. I really enjoyed Ultimate Rio Tour & I'd like to do the tour again.
Our tour was the Ultimate Rio Full Day. An adventure it was. Marco our guide was great. The food was delicious! If you don’t have much time in Rio then this is the tour for you. You get to see the whole city & scope out where you would next like to go & visit next.
Philip led our tour of two around the city for 8 hours (we ran over time)! He was an awesome tour guide, we had a really good time and learned a lot about Rio. I highly recommend this company. The route was comfortable and flat. Perfect way to see most of the city in a safe, fun way!
This is such a great way to see Rio, and much more interesting and comfortable (in my eyes) than trudging around on foot in the heat. Our guide, Matt, spoke perfect English and was really thoughtful and friendly - keeping an eye on us at junctions and crossings, and ensuring we had stops along the way. If you're ok to ride a bike then you should be fine with the pace - the amount of cycle lanes are a pleasant surprise and it's a pretty flat route. Bikes are very good and comfy, and helmets are optional. My parents are in their 60s and were completely fine and found this to be a highlight of their trip. An interesting and healthy 3 hours!
We did the Ultimate Bike Tour, it was a fantastic way to cover Rio. The bike's were so comfortable and the riding was very relaxed, I was surprised how much of Rio offers bike lanes away from traffic. I recommend doing this tour early in your trip. Our guide was fantastic and also had us laughing lots.
We did the full day "ultimate rio tour" with Gisely and LOVED it. It was a great way to see a good amount of the city and get our bearings around Rio on our first full day visiting. The tour was at a leisurely pace but active with great stops and good information about the various neighborhoods. Gisely was super friendly, informative and flexible. We would recommend to anybody who wants a good tour of multiple parts of the city and enjoys being on a bike. :-) Really great tour and friendly staff.
A friend and I were doing a short trip to Rio (4 days) and we really wanted to see as much as possible. We spent our first day doing the Ultimate Bike Tour to get an overview of the whole city and it was totally worth it. We got to see a lot of the areas that we were hoping to hang out in and really had a sense of where things were after this tour. We also had a really informative guide who was actually able to answer all my questions about just about every statue and monument we passed by. Our guide's tire got damaged during the beginning of the tour but one of her colleagues caught up to us with another tire and replaced it within 30 minutes. Our guide also stayed late to make sure that we got to finish the whole tour despite the delay. She also bought us a drink towards the end of the tour (non-alcoholic obviously for safety). We had an excellent time during this tour. It was a great way to see a lot of the city and get in a solid work out.
We had an excellent tour on our full day bike ride around Rio. Our guide, Giseley, was incredible in that she kept our group safe and had plenty of background information relating to each stop. The coconuts bought from Emir were immaculate.
The bike tour was great!! We stop a few times and saw really nice places of rio. Also the guide gisely was very kind and tell us many stories about the city.
It is one of the nicest cities in the world in terms of atmosphere and connectedness on the beaches. Nice people and good atmosphere. Nice to cycle along the coast and experience the atmosphere of sports. you can also go running without a T-shirt, so you don't stand out. Many volleyball courts along the coast and also they do a lot of foot volley. High level. If you have the chance you should do a Helicopter flight over Rio. It is really beautiful and the large Jesus Beel cannot and should not be missed.
Excellent bike ride along the coast of Rio de Janeiro to the center, Lapa, Gloria, Botafogo and the edge of the lagoon. The guide Ulisses was attentive and maintained a smooth and calm pace. Perhaps the part to improve is the route through Botafogo/ Humaitá to the lagoon where there is no bike path and the traffic is more intense and nervous. The experience is well worth it for anyone who wants to get to know Rio more closely!
The best experience we had in Rio. The 7-hour tour with Ulisses was superb and showed us the neighborhoods of the south and downtown as we would hardly have known them using other means of locomotion. We had a series of "extra" requests that he fulfilled perfectly by adapting the route, always in total safety. Great lunch in a typical restaurant. Beautiful day.
We did the Ultimate Rio Tour lasting about 7 hours. It is a tour very suitable for those who are not a trained cyclist because it includes many stops (including lunch) and because it is on a flat path. Our guide was very good and the excursion was really pleasant. We recommend it
