My clients got the skip the line tickets but when we got there we were not allowed to skip the line to revalidatie the tickets. Waste of money.

This made it quick and easy to get to the top. Way better than a drive up the mountain. Just make sure you get your wristbands to cut the line. The side with 3 seats has the better views. The one exception being the two front seats giving you the entire view up
Purchasing this did not skip any lines, I waited 3 hours to get the train up the mountain to the statue, despite the description saying we would get the first train.
Great experience. Easy to exchange the vouchers to tickets and managed to get up in very good time giving we were able to skip the queue. Breathtaking views!
Victoria is an amazing guide, we really enjoyed The trip, without any stress and in nice pace.
It's amazing, educational, priceless beauty of Rio. I see why it's such a major tourist attraction for people around the world!
Skip the line tickets were worth the extra money, even though it was reasonably quiet on the day we went.
An easy way to get tickets in advance to avoid a sellout or delays visiting sites. Mr. Lima ,my well respected guide handled everything so a language barrier was never an issue.
There wasn't much of a line when we went, but the time saved for worth it as we had so much to see in one day.
Must see experience. We took a taxi to the train station and got there about 7:30am. We showed our “Skip the Line” pass and we were given a wrist band that said “Trip Advisor.” We were then escorted to get our hard passes. Once we received those, we were then pointed to a line where everyone else was going. Once we were in line for a few minutes, there was another employee who saw us with the wristbands and came over to us and escorted us to the front, where we then took the next train. I had read another review with the same type of experience, so I would recommend showing one of the other workers your wristband when you get in line, rather than have them notice you. We were fortunate that the line wasn’t really long, so it didn’t take long for us to be moved up to the front. The train was a short ride to the top. Once you get off the train, there are options to take the elevator or climb the stairs. We climbed the stairs but I can definitely see it being a challenge if you have toddlers or bad knees, hips etc…. I don’t believe the elevator takes you ALL the way to the top, but it does get you close enough to where you can better manage the climb. During your climb, there is an area for shopping, purchasing food and beverages, and a restroom area. Once you get to the top, it’s everything you thought it would be.
Highly recommend this as we jumped straight to the front of the queue. Saved lots of time. You first have to queue to change the QR code sent via email for a ticket and wristband. This is the same for everyone. We arrived at 8am, and there was no ticket queue. Once you get the ticket you have to get in a queue for the next train, and there were already around 100 people in the queue. As per the instructions, you have to let one of the staff know you have a fast track ticket (there is no separate signposted line), and they immediately took us straight to the front of the queue, and we got the first train to arrive. Trains are every 30 minutes. Fast track is for going up only. But when we came down at 10 am there was no queue and we quickly got the train down. At the moment, there is renovation work on the escalators, so you have to walk up around 70 steps to the top, but it is very easy, as lots of areas to wait and take in the view. It's a brilliant experience, the train ride is really lovely and goes through a forest. Once you are up the view is amazing. The statue itself is remarkable.
Great Experience! This tour was good. Be mindful of heavy peak times. The place can get crowded. Arrive early to avoid the lines.
Worth every penny, especially when the line is long. We just passed through the whole line, and entered the train
It was fantastic the train ride up was beautiful and the view was breathtaking The statue was awesome
We visited in July and there was a short line to get tickets and the waiting time for the train was less than 20 minutes. The air was clear and the views were amazing. There were two things that I came away with. One, I didn't expect to be moved but I have to admit that the experience was spiritual. I am a lapsed Catholic and even have a YouTube channel named "The Altarless Traveler." So I visit religious sites around the world and report back on them. Usually I am merely curious but the beauty of Christ the Redeemer is undeniable. I must admit though, I think it was the combination of the statue and the views from the top. Secondly was the range of emotions at the top. Most people were navigating the crowds and politely taking all kinds of photos--lying on their backs, putting phones on the ground, selfies, groups, etc. But some were emotionally affected, like praying and even crying. These emotions added to the experience. You don’t need to subscribe to traditional faith to feel genuine awe here (I ended up exploring this exact tension—finding reverence without religion—in a deeper video essay on *The Altarless Traveler*.) I highly recommend the trip and if I return to Rio I will make the trip again.
Smooth transition at the gate. Got our wristbands quickly and the priority pass to skip the line was a bonus! Great experience and would highly recommend!
Horrible experience. We were told to wait in a ticket line and were 7 minutes late for our check-in. Because of that they put us into the standard, non-reservation line. It was a four hour wait. We left after an hour, all because we were seven minutes late to check in. We were seven minutes late because we were in a line for the ticket counter. This was terrible service. Do not be late for your check in time!
Purchasing tickets in Viator still requires you to stand in line to get a physical ticket. If you purchase a skip the line ticket, have one of the employees take you to the front of the line. Otherwise, everyone standing in line will think you are cutting the line and tell you to go to the back of the line.
Brilliant experience and well worth it! After doing some research we arrived just after 8am and managed to get on the 840am train with no fuss - just make sure you go straight to the ticket office to exchange your online voucher for an actual physical ticket. You then get a yellow fast track band to jump the queue. By the time we came down around 945am, I’d never seen queues quite like it - it was madness! So my advice, without a shadow of a doubt, get there for 8am - even 730am! Fewer crowds and less waiting!
The statue at the top is breathtaking. Well worth it. Getting there was a different story. They herd you like cattle into a crammed space to get on the train to the top. Overall worth it but be prepared to wait a long time with a bunch of sweaty people.
I recommend the tour. We had a ticket for skipping the line which was worth it. Beautiful view from the mountain.
This was the best way to go up. Please spend the money. The lines were so long and I got to breeE right to the front. Be advised this is only for up. Going down you wait like everyone else but it was fine.
There is nothing fast about this skip the line. Terrible. You end up with everyone waiting to embark the train. And if ever it’s because we did something wrong than you should know there were no TripAdvisor agents….
Not worth buying a fast track ticket as it only applies to your journey up to Christ the Redeemer and you still have to wait in the crowd to get on the train. It was all very disorganised. Just make sure you go early to beat the crowds.
Christ the Redeemer was incredible! The weather was perfect for it, the transport was efficient and the staff were very friendly and helpful!
Skip-the-line tickets make it easier to get into Christ the Redeemer and cut down on wait times. The view of Rio de Janeiro from the top is really beautiful and it is a place to visit. However, the crowd was still quite large, especially at the popular photo spots. After reaching the top, I expected a little more organization. The attraction is definitely worth a visit, but the experience was a little less comfortable than I expected. Still, I enjoyed it as an important part of my trip.
It was a gorgeous day, amazing view all around, was crowded but worth it...a truly must do experience... only negative was that the escalators going back down we're broken
Worth every cent! Traded the tickets in and went right to the front of the line. I asked how long the regular line was and they said about 45-1 hour. Save the time!
First, if you use TripAdvisor to buy these tickets, you get a message that tells you to make sure your digital tickets show up in your phone Trip Advisor App. We did that and made sure they were there, but when we got to the venue and opened the tickets on our phone, we got a message that your tickets are NOT there and that you have to check your email to get them. That's a problem if you don't routinely access your email on your phone or have signal or connection issues while traveling away from a strong wifi connection, which was our case. Second, the line to get on the train was 3.5 hours long. The Corcovado representative told us there was no such thing as a Skip-the-Line ticket and directed us to wait in the 3.5-hour line. So, we just left. We didn't feel like our age and health would allow us to wait that long standing in line. Waste of time and money.
The view of Christ the Redeemer was absolutely gorgeous and definitely worth seeing at least once. The overall experience felt safe, and despite a fairly long line, the process moved faster than expected and I was able to get through quicker than many others. Unfortunately, there was a significant issue during my visit when the train experienced mechanical problems. This resulted in an approximately 2-hour delay, and because there were no alternative transportation options available to leave the site, everyone simply had to wait. While the situation was handled safely, communication from the staff was disappointing. At times, staff members seemed to ignore concerns and were unable to provide clear updates or answers about what was happening or when service would resume. What should have been a simple 2- to 3-hour visit turned into nearly 4 hours due to the train breakdown and waiting time. Despite the frustration, the breathtaking views and iconic experience of seeing Christ the Redeemer made the trip memorable. Future visitors should be prepared for possible delays and allow extra time in their schedule just in case transportation issues arise.
Amazing view of the city of Rio visible. Loved the train ride.
This was absolutely a life changing experience! We had intended on going early in the morning (7:30 am) to try and beat the crowds despite having the “skip the line” tickets, but one of our group members became ill late last night so we were unable to go until about 10:30 am. When we arrived the line was wrapped up an entire city block plus the entire tram station, we showed the ticket agent our pass and we were able to get on the next available tram. Without this pass we would have had to wait for at least 2-3 hours in the sun just to get on the tram. The staff was also very helpful and guided us where we needed to go!
Seamless experience and had no problems at all. The statue and views were fantastic.
Early morning was a good time to go. By the time we left (11:00) it was getting crowded. Not sure how much time the skip the line saved because it wasn’t full yet. If we’d gone mid morning it would have made a big difference. We were glad we had it and went straight to to front and were first in line for the tram up.
We couldn't skip all the lines. Just for get the ticket. After that we were in the regular line, waiting like everybody else.
too many people, there was no kind of crowd control. We had skip the line tickets, but that was only for going up, and does not apply to when you are coming down, which also has a line.
Glad we paid to skip the line. There are essentially two line ups. The first was very long and we were allowed to bypass into the line the is on the train boarding platform. Got to skip on the way down as well.
Skip the line Tickets is worth to save a lot of time instead queuig up in the heat. Easy to buy in advance.
Skip the line was a waste of time at no point were we prioritized for boarding. Only 2 trains running so wait times were long and the place was crowded
It’s definately worth going up there. The view is stunningly amazing. But, unfortunately the ^^fast lane ticket ^^ is just for going up and not down. That was very surprising. The train gets packed so full that the ride is not enjoyable at all. That’s very sad … I will not take the train again.
It was not worth the money. We only skipped one line and then had to wait in another big group line and had to wait two trains to get up. I asked multiple people and they said no wait here in line. They also don’t let you skip the line on the way down. Waste of money.
Definitely don’t think it’s necessary to get skip the line tickets. When we arrived we still had to line up to get the voucher exchanged for a ticket. It would make more sense if the tickets were automatically emailed to you. Don’t recommend purchasing this, save your money
These were pretty much worthless. You still wait in a line to redeem your voucher in the same place that everyone else waits to buy their tickets. And there is a self service booth that faster that you can’t use with these tickets. After you have tickets almost everyone got on the next train. At no point did anyone check our wristbands. Most importantly, they are not valid on the return ride just the ride up. Save you money and just get there early and buy your tickets there. This is seriously a nonproduct.
Skipping the line to get tickets and board the train was worth every penny paid. We were not prepared for standing in the long line necessary to return to the starting point. I expected that we would be skipping the line on both ends. I feared we would be late getting back to our ship.
Waste of money...should get a refund. Paid to skip the line and were lined up with all the others who did not pay for your services
Excellent communication with the tour company customizing our tour before our trip. Our tour guide, Tiego was a great. He met us on time at the cruise port and took us to Christ the Redeemer where he stayed with us and directed us to the right locations and lines the entire time. He was also very informative on our tour of the city. We observed Sugar Loaf Mountain but didn't go up and also visited the Selaron Steps. Tiego took pictures for us which he later sent to me. He was very kind and attentive.
This is an absolutely fabulous tour, but you must get the skip the line tickets. Spectacular views, fun train ride up through the woods.
It is not worth to pay for skip the line ! The only advantage is to get the tickets little faster other than that the rest of the process you must make the lines and try to catch the train like anyone else!
We had the absolute pleasure of spending a full day in Rio with Luis as our private tour guide, and we could not have been more pleased with the experience. Luis is exceptionally knowledgeable and clearly very well-educated on a wide range of subjects. His expertise in the Botanical Gardens was especially impressive — he shared fascinating insights about the plants, their origins, and their role in Brazil’s natural and cultural history. Throughout the day, Luis also provided rich historical context about Brazil, including meaningful and informative perspectives on Afro-Brazilian history. His storytelling made the city come alive and gave us a much deeper appreciation for Rio beyond its beautiful scenery. In addition to being an outstanding guide, Luis was extremely courteous, professional, and a very safe and attentive driver. He thoughtfully planned our route, ensured we were comfortable at all times, and truly guided us through the city in a way that felt seamless and personalized. This was one of the best private tour experiences we have ever had. We highly recommend Luis to anyone visiting Rio who wants a knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely kind guide.
It was beautiful and perfect! Skip the line was the fastest way to go! We had the best time and the weather was perfect
