This was the HIGHLIGHT of our time in Rio! Renato is an incredible host, very funny and kind, and takes you to places that are stunning and impossible for a non-local to get to. He really goes above and beyond. We can't stop raving about how much we loved the tour. We were initially hesitant about waking up so early, but it was SO worth it. Would absolutely recommend this tour.

I had the most amazing experience with Renato from Rio Secret Spots! The little hikes were always followed by an incredible reward (either an amazing view or a wonderful secret beach). I have never experienced something similar in terms of scenery, it was incredibly beautiful! Renato knows Rio and it’s surroundings so well, you get to also learn so many things about the area! I would recommend without any doubt!

It was an amazing experience that truly is unique in every way. It’s well worth getting up early to watch the sunset and have the full experience. The locations are absolutely breathtaking and nothing like you will see at traditional tourist spots such as Copacabana and Impanema. Renato is a great story tell sharing history as well as discussing Brazil’s current moments. The small group I went with had people of all backgrounds and we all shared fun facts. It was not only a beautiful experience but one filled with new knowledge. Communication could not have been any better. And what you’re probably wondering…yes the photos and videos were AMAZING. Renato is super friendly suggesting ideas and open to taking ideas and helping as we asked. By far one of my favorite moments during my time in Brazil.

When visiting Rio De Janeiro, taking a tour with Renato is must do activity! My partner and I booked a "Secret Beaches" private tour with Renato during October 2024 and had an absolutely fantastic time. We got to see a side of Rio de Janeiro which we would never have been able to without Renato's local knowledge. The entire process was faultless, from booking and arranging a date of the tour, through to hotel pick up and drop off - Renato made the whole process stress free. Renato was a fantastic guide for the day (not to mention for the rest of our time in Rio and our next stops in Brazil)! Renato is a very good tour guide! He explains everything so well about Rio and a very nice photographer/videographer too. The whole trip was very chill even though we didn’t get so much sun (just some glimpse during the sunrise, but still very cool!), and it was just like a roadtrip and beach bumming with a friend. My favorite is the natural pool (Praia do Secreto) and the drone shots made by Renato was the coolest thing ever! I highly recommend this experience when you visit Rio!

He even helped us order breakfast, making the entire experience seamless. The sunrise at Praia do Recreio is something I won’t soon forget—it was absolutely breathtaking. Renato also guided us to a secret pool near Praia da Macumba, which was incredible and something we definitely couldn't have discovered on our own. His knowledge of the tides and terrain kept us safe the whole time, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the adventure. To top it all off he made sure we had all the pictures we could ever want, including some drone shots that are just... 🤯. All I can say is don’t think about it just book it! It was an incredible and unforgettable experience, Renato took me to places I wouldn’t have experienced otherwise, my favourite part was watching the sunrise at Praia do Recreio and getting to swim in Praia do Secreto, it truly is a unique and beautiful experience. If you have some physical limitations there is some rock climbing involved to get the best views but overall wow!!! I would do it again!

Renato picked us up right in front of our Airbnb. We had a had a nice chat all up to our first stop at a beach where we waited for the sunrise. It was all chill and we had plenty of time to take pictures explore the beach a bit and watching the city waking up. Both other places were stunning too! The natural pool was awesome and we had enough time to enjoy it. The last beach is a chill spot to calm down. The fresh coconut was tasty (not included but worth every penny - or the 11 real.) Renato was always around, was explaining a lot and we talked about everything. I would have booked every of our tours with him, if we hadn't prebooked it before we arrived. Renato is a wonderful person and a fun guy! Even our tour came to an end he offered to stay in touch for any further questions or (food) recommendations. Best guy ever!

The experience with the River Secret Spots was wonderful. A tour that escaped the obvious scenario and rewarded with wonderful natural landscapes. Renato was an extremely friendly and friendly guide. The best ride I've ever done in Rio! We took a walk where we saw the sunrise on a deserted beach, then we visited a natural water pool and ended the tour with a wonderful 360° view of the whole city! Renato guided us super well and still was telling more details about each little place we visited. An unforgettable walk!

The route was easy, with right to a poetic sunrise, very practical trails, stunning views, a paradisiacal natural pool and to close with a golden key a dive in the beautiful beach of Grumari...
