It’s a worthwhile experience. You get to know about the other regions of Brazil’s culture history and lifestyle and they were presented beautifully in the form of musical performances. It was a pleasant evening with dinner.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible experience! The Roxy show was absolutely spectacular from start to finish. If you're visiting Rio, this is a must-see and a fantastic way to learn about and experience Brazilian culture through music, dance, and stunning performances. We chose the Copacabana package, and it exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the entire evening was well organized. The energy, talent, and production quality of the show were outstanding. Every scene was captivating and beautifully showcased the diversity and spirit of Brazil. One of the highlights of our trip to Rio. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic cultural experience!
The dinner experience was great, it started with a welcome photo at the venue. The staff at the restaurant were very attentive. The food was good, my steak could have been hotter (temperature wise). There was a live performance ALL through dinner which we did not expect. We felt we saw 2 shows for the price of one!!! The actual Roxy show which paid homage to the different regions of Brazil was creative, informative and entertaining!!!! This show is a MUST see when you visit Rio.
Beautifully presentation of Brazil. I feel if we knew Portuguese we would have enjoyed it much more.
Amazing show! Everything was great: music, performance, multymedia, costumes, artists, food, cocktails, service. Thank you, Karen!
Breathtaking! Wonderful! Great dinner and amazing show about Brazilian culture, music, arts and people! Upbeat and beautiful! A “must” if you visit Rio de Janeiro!
I've been traveling to Rio for at least 26 years now. I remember the great cultural show that they used to have called, Plataforma, which was also a Dinner Show. This venue is an old movie theater that was completely remodeled and looks like something on Hollywood Boulevard. The show was very enjoyable. The first hour or so is singing by a couple in Portuguese and in English. The food is excellent but they don't give you a lot of food for what you pay. The Copacabana package was just over $100 and you got to choose from one of three entrees. Beverages are not included. Seems like there's a kitchen management issue. The husband received his food before his wife and by the time she received her food, he was just about finished. My friend received his food before mine and when I asked for another piece of bread because it was taking too long for my food, my server told me that it would cost me. My response was never mind. Our entire table should have been served at the same time. I ordered the dark chocolate dessert and it was only about 3" long however, it was excellent. We were still hungry after the show. They should consider having bread baskets on the table instead of just giving each person one piece of bread. If they got the kitchen management together and up their portions a little then it would match the show. They take your pic upon arrival and then come to your table for you to purchase. The photographer takes great pics. I bought the pics and later asked for the digital photos, which they were happy to send. I was told I'd get them in 24 hours but had to follow up with my hotel's concierge to get them because they didn't arrive as promised. After the show, you can take pics with a few cast members in the lobby with your own mobile phone. Due to the technology involved, there's a warning before the show that it could cause convulsions in some. I thought that was a strong warning but sitting down front, it did cause strange feelings from the technology and how it's interwoven in the show.
Great show. Started on time, and it's a real experience that's hard to explain. I wish we could have chosen our seats.
I booked tickets only, paid here, and when I arrived at the show, they said the tour company never booked our tickets! We had to rebook there and ended up with bad seats. The show is amazing, but you should book directly through the Roxy Show website and just catch an Uber there.
The whole experience was quite good. We did not pick the dinner option, which was the right thing for us as there wasn’t a whole lot for us vegetarians. Overall, even though it was good, I think the pricing is just way too much.
Pantomime for kids, those two bell boys spoil the show. To many videos of rubbish and not enough now show. Food is cheap and waste of calories.
Wonderful experience. I highly recommend it everyone to go and see the show. The guide was also a very nice guy, picked me up from the hotel on time and dropped me off.
The best show in Brazil ❤️❤️❤️ absolutely beautiful, the dinner was really good, everything on time the place is beautiful
Beautifully represented the diversity of Brazil via different dance forms. Must do if you are seeking an extravagant cultural experience
Please don’t select the drop off and pick up as the charges are very high( anlmost 30£ per passenger when an uber would have costed 2 £) and they transported us in a very uncomfortable car with a group of 2 other passenger. One if us had to sit cramped up in the back seat in the boot
Great performance beautiful costumes, dinner was small, but elegant for the food and entertainment, and the time spent it was worth the money

A fantastic show. Non stop dancing by a large no of artists. Such energy, gorgeous costumes. One of the best shows we have attended on holiday. If I visit Rio again I will see the show again

An impressive show of a fairly rich collection of Brazilian dances

Excellent meal before show. Venue for show had seen better days and the service for drinks beforehand needs great improvement. But the show itself was lively, entertaining and colourful. Very glad that we did this excursion and would recommend.

Had the Brazilian dinner before hand. Typical Brazilian restaurant with a buffet of side dishes and servers coming around with a variety of meats. Absolutely delicious! Note: beverages including bottled water are extra.
The samba show was entertaining and fun. Very colorful. Very loud. Included some of the local martial arts. If you haven't been to one, this was good. But they're all very similar.
Definitely enjoyed the evening.

We had higher expectation of this show! It turned to be just an average show in a old and very used hall, with second hands costumes! The dinner was very good with traditional Brazilian BBQ !

Although it's a tourist-oriented show, we enjoyed. It might be the only show in Rio where you can see a summary of Brazilian music and folklore. The music was mostly on tape but they did have several excellent and entertaining musicians playing a variety of percussion instruments. The costumes were very elaborated and colorful. We also enjoyed the gaucho showman with his chains and balls.
The venue needs a lot of improvement. It's not well-kept. The show, which began at 10pm, lasted almost 2 hours. They take a lot of pictures of you and try to sell them but, there was never any pressure to buy.

great show, entertainment. very crowded venue though.

Amazing as always. 2 nd Time round and it was worth it. The performances and the colour.......! You haven't been to Brazil if you miss this show.

We included dinner in our event. The meal was tasty although a bit rushed. The show was a disappointment. It was about the history of Brazil and there was some samba but not what I was expecting. Also the drinks at samba show were 4 times the price of any other event or restaurant we wen to.

The cast looked bored and the guests also. Nice and lively show, but starts very late at night. Would perhaps be better with a full house.

Wohoooo!!! I learned a lot of Brazilian history inside this performance. Plus beautiful dresses and dancers. Love the way transportation went out too.

We did not do the dinner and it seemed like we were an after thought. We waited at the venue too long. They did not allow us to enter and drink you know consume and we had to wait downstairs. Bad decision by the organizers. As far as the show, the dancers were all great and entertaining but I think the place needed more energy and some of the dancers should have walked around after the show.

The arrangements for dinner and time it took to get there wasn't well organised. The SAMBA evening was a great experience

Fun! Good food and great experience :) the dancers were Very expressive and energetic.

We were collected on time and returned to our hotel without any problems. We booked the meal component of this tour and we LOVED the restaurant. The food was great and I would highly recommend the Brazilian BBQ. It was a set price menu consisting of salad then all the meat you can eat served with rice, french fries and onion rings. The dessert was ice cream and fruit salad. Drinks were extra but not over the top. The show itself was caught in a time warp. The venue was old, the table and seating old and the drinks expensive and undrinkable we ordered red wine and couldn't drink it. The routine was not very polished. There were a couple of acts that were entertaining but I think Platform has seen better days. I'm sorry to say it but I could not recommend this show but I could definitely recommend the meal beforehand. Our tour guide spoke excellent English and he was terrific. We really enjoyed his company.

This show was amazing. We really enjoyed the whole experience. Expect amazing costumes and a variety of traditional Brazilian dances. Definitely worth going to see any time of year.

Camila our guide is a fabulous, bubbly, enthusiastic person. Who took us for a pre meal gourmet buffet, the food and local beer Chopp was refreshing. Food very, very filling, This part is highly recommended :-
The show is bright and colorful, however if the show had a narrator to explain the story of the show just before each section of dance changed. If we hadn't learned about some of Rio's history via guide. It wouldn't mean much.

Nice enough show. Some parts are good but is not a family show.Lacks artistic excellence and the seats and the Theatre are very basic.Nice enough to go to but would not go again.

Excellent guiding but the show is not as expected! A bit kitch and doesn't last that long. 90 minutes max. However, the dancers and the musicians did their very best to entertain us!

The acrobatics were wonderful! A lot of energy in the show.

It was great for what it was, the drinks were dear but they were at a great standard and they spoke great English at the venue which is difficult to find whilst out and about in Rio, the show was great the dancers have great energy and keep the cloud involved, Venue is dated but it's about the show not the venue. People of all ages would appreciate this

The Samba Show was fantastic and beautiful. We had a great time!

The show was spectacular and I truly enjoyed it. However, i did not enjoy the dinner. I also noticed hat people who were not a part of the tour had more meat options. I would have rather to spend more for dinner, than to be limited, but I am a foodie, so maybe others wouldn't mind. The guide was okay, he wasn't a great communicatorcalled me a 'girl'. He didn't really check in to make sure all was well. I noticed a group who didn't eat because they were vegetarians. The steak house didn't have enough options to accommodate them, so they requested a refund. Overall, it was okay, but not worth the price. I would have just picked the show by itself.

We didn't like it that we had to take a cab to the copacabana Hotel, which costed us more than 70 pesos. This is not what we call being picked up at your hotel. The show was rather poor and not what we expected.

Picked up on time and taken to restaurant next to venue. Despite large number of people eating service was swift, there was a self service buffet and waiters brought round a variety of freshly cooked meats. The food was good quality and would satisfy the most the biggest appetite. The show was enjoyable but the seats were a little uncomfortable arranged in rows.

Great show, great dancers, very colorful, totally recommended!

The food was terrible and the show was a typical tourist rip off. I wouldn't recommend this eveing to anyone!

A fun evening ,the show definitely brightened up the location, even managed to awaken the very tired japanese visitors sitting behind us.Supper before the show pretty good too.

Very disappointing experience. BEWARE because they say dinner is at plataforma but it is NOT. It is at a local BBQ restaurant and the evening ends up being 4 1/.2 hours. Very difficult with two kids and when you are expecting 2-3 hours. Also, I had switched hotels and reached out to Viator to let them know and there response??? Call the tour company and tell them. What's the point of going through Viator to book if they just punt you to the tour company and create extra work? Viator - -aren't you trying to make it an easier experience for the traveler? Well, you have failed!

We saw the show and totally enjoyed the performance and colorful costumes. The performance gave us small but impressive input, what a carnival atmosphere could be. Bus transportation was prompt and overall we had good times

Another highly recommended tour in Brazil. We booked the one with dinner and the dinner is a buffet Brazilian steakhouse so get your tummies ready for some meat. The tour guide spoke three languages which was awesome and we also have a fun group of people. The location of the show looked old but has that feeling to it. You can purchase alcohol inside the theater and overall the show was amazing i've always wanted to see a live samba show and booking this tour made it happen, take lots of pictures and they also take pictures of you witht a couple of their dancers roaming around inside the theater. By the way the tour guide will mention your name at the lobby during pickup so pay attention and stay at the lobby :-

I understand dinner is served at the venue, however, on this trip, those that have dinner included are taken to a traditional brazilian steakhouse for dinner and then transported onto Plataforma. The show was a mixture of dance and was great fun to watch and at the end everyone is welcomed to join in as the dancers integrate into the audience and do a conga. Some of the costumes were absolutely beautiful. The usual photographs are taken of the audience at the start and can be bought for R25 which I thought was a good price. In all a good night out and worth going to watch.

It was a fantastic night, Great guide, great food and a fantastic show
