Rio Express: Christ The Redeemer And Sugarloaf Mountain

It was a fantastic Tour. One of the best I’ve been on. Our tour guide Carlos was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. He is an awesome asset to your team.

They left without me I was waiting in front of the hotel and they never came . The tour was at 8:15 and I was there at 7:30am I paid 130$ don’t go to these people they will steal your money.

That incredible experience and the tourism is amazing in Cristo Redentor, Pan de Azúcar, Escaleras de Selaron, etc.

Daniel was amazing and very thorough on the express trip that my girlfriend and I went on. He took us to Sugarloaf Mountain as well as Christ the redeemer. We had a lot of time to explore take pictures and just get filled with knowledge about both iconic places. I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking into further their knowledge on Brazil and to explore hitting gems along the way. Thank you, Daniel and the driver as well

I had a wonderful experience with this small group. The time spent at each site was just right. I didn't feel rushed at all.

Our pickup time for this tour was 7:39 am. We called Viator three times and they told us that could not contact the local tour company, and just to wait. The tour van finally arrived at 9:25 am. The guide was unapologetic, and said that he was told that pickup was 8:54am. I will never use Viator or C2Rio again. No mention of a refund or “I’m sorry” at all for being two hours late for pickup.

Wonderful experience with very efficient and knowledgeable guide, Renato Marinho. Express half day tour was perfect length and going in morning meant shorter queues and better weather. Redeemer is very crowded but Sugarloaf was a lot more quiet.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and organized. He kept the group informed and on-time while also being warm and friendly. He also seamlessly spoke to the group in both Portuguese and English. Christ the Redeemer is a beautiful sight to see and well worth the time. Seeing the city from that high up was a treat. Rio truly is an amazingly beautiful city and can’t wait to come back.

Really enjoyed this tour. Got to see a bunch of the great tourist spots Rio offers from Christ the Redeemer to Sugarloaf mountain, and all the beaches. The tour guide was great. Had a lovely day.

This tour was incredible! My tour guide Monica Bertazzolo was phenomenal! She had to speak like 5 different language fluently to keep everyone engaged and informed. She made sure we got thru the sites safely and efficiently. She was kind enough to take photos for me and everyone else to make sure we got the good photos at the Christ the Redeemer monument. Excellent tour, very well done. Would highly recommend anyone who visits Rio to do this tour where you see both Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer on the same morning, particularly with Monica.

Monica is a great tour guide and did wills with giving history of the different place in Rio. She is talented with speaking many languages. She is well organized and timely with keeping the tour fluid. I would definitely book any tour with Monica she did great for my first tour experience thank you

Another review mentioned this but prepare for a lack of organization, and running late. No meetup times or meetup places were set in the group, it was a free-for-all. Very little information given about anything on the tour. Our guide still had to go and secure tickets at each location and we did not get the express line at Sugarloaf as advertised. It was a little unclear whether or not we got any express treatment at Christ the Reedemer. The transportation was comfortable and our guide was friendly and spoke pretty good English. I would say unless you are the type of person that struggles to figure things out on your own like ordering an uber between destinations or buying tickets for yourself at the location that you should do it yourself, or find a tour that is a little more structured.

Crowded bus combined with a guide who wasn’t very knowledgeable, though he was friendly. If you can afford it, hire a guide and do them alone.

Marco Antonio our guide got straight into our sense of humour from the start. His personality made the group very happy and Fun to be in his care! And he made sure everyone was good at all times..we were two English Pensioners with the rest being young Brazilians but ar no time did we feel left out..they all welcomed us due to Mario's lead thank you.. the tour itself is just right if you have a late flight or small time limits..well planned..Jacky and Alan UK

Our trip pick up time was punctual - our guide shared the tour in 3 different languages, he continually checked in and gave great care to ensure all were accounted for and safe. It’s a beach day and a drive to get there. From 6am to 9pm

Our guide Priscilla and driver Esmeraldo were excellent! They were on time for pickup and the tour was well organised. Priscilla is funny and interactive and her commentary on sights and spots was awesome. The tour allowed enough time to take pictures and spend time experiencing the sight. It was really a fun half day spent with our “international family” as Priscilla would say. Excellent, thank you Priscilla for making our last morning in Rio fun and interactive.

On our tour up Monika told us a lot about Rio and it's history. That was very interesting. She organized the trip professinally and showed us around while explainig what was important to see. She lead us to special points for taking fotos and gave advice for anything wanted. We had enough time to move on our own. So we had a great time because there was no hurry in that compact program.

The service was prompt, coach comfortable and safe, and Adriano himself spoke both in English and Portugese. This tour has new air-conditioned buses with seatbelts. The guide and driver (Joao Marcelo and Alves) were excellent. Joao did the commentary in the all languages spoken. by our group and took time to answer questions. Highly recommended if you want to see 2 of the top sites in Rio in 5 hours.

I was in Rio for one weekend and wanted a quick tour of the main spots real quick without the hassle of researching things myself and figuring out logistics of travel and tickets. I decided to book a last min. tour (c2rio) through my hotel/Hilton Copacabana. The tour started at 7.30am which turned out to be great as the lines were minimal when we reached but were enormous when we left. It was super helpful to have João on the tour as he was a local and knew all the tips and tricks to make our experience efficient, fun and worth it! Visited Cristo Rendentor (Christ the Redeemer) and Paõ de açúcar (Sugarloaf mountain) and he also told us sevral international facts about Brazil and Rio along the way in the van. We ended the tour at 1.30pm back to the hotel, super happy! Highly recommended!!

Our guide Andriano was excellent. He was very informative, spoke English very well, good natured and always showed us the best viewing spots. We would recommend this tour and Andriano.

We took the half day tour [Sunset Experience] and got see highlights of the city and get an understanding of the history and background of the city and the country. Our guide [Renato Marino] did an excellent job. His knowledge was great and his English excellent! My favorite stop was the Metropolitan cathedral. Unlike most gothic cathedrals I've seen, this is very modern and just stunning inside. It is a round cone shape and will hold over 20,000 people [sitting and standing]. We had a great time and learned a lot.

Very much enjoyed my tour, Marisa was outstanding and very knowledgeable about Rio and Brazil in general. She was clearly passionate about her home which made all the difference when learning about the history. I saved the tour for my last day in Rio which I’m glad I did as it was the perfect way to finish my time there. Couldn’t recommend the tour enough and if you have Marisa as your guide you will undoubtedly have a great time!

We took the Rio Express tour to Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf this morning with Adriano (guide) and Junior (driver). The tour was the perfect amount of time to enjoy both spots and Adriano was a great guide! Pickup from the hotel was nice as well. I would highly suggest taking the morning tour to beat the crowds.

Excellent tourist guide we hv there. She can speak almost all key language. She explain all insight information. The group joining me which is from US, UK and Spain was very friendly. This is the moment that i wont forget. There always room for improvement, i would suggest for tour guide to provide something like true Brazilian fruit punch after or in between the visit especially during hot day. Brazil is very famous with fresh and veriety of fruit. A little investment will really nails the entire experience

This tour was a great way to get a taste if the city. Adriano was fun, informative, and really knows his way around the Rio. I would be happy to take another tour with him if I was staying in Rio for longer and will refer him and this tour to others. This was a perfect way to spend my free half day in Rio.

Lovely sites to take small children to. The only thing my daughter (4 yrs old) did not like was how long we stsyed at each attraction. Factor in attention span of small children and I'm sure they will have a lovely time, especially on the cable car (sugar loaf mountain).

We opted for the early morning Christ the Redeemer and Sugerloaf Mountain tour. Carlos Adriano Souza was our guide. We had a small group of two families (3 and 4), so the experience and personalization was excellent. The late winter weather was finicky. When we headed up to Christ the Redeemer, it was partly cloudy but visibility was good. By the time we arrived, the cloud was blowing through. It did make for some less common pictures of Christ. We still got the beautiful panorama view of Rio lower down. Sugarloaf was clear and hot. Perfect! Carlos was a very informative and hospitable guide. Our family enjoyed our time with him and learned many facts and factoids with him. Thank you for a great intro to Rio!

had a lovely friendly gentleman called Edward as my guide he was very informative about the old /new buildings we passed by whilst driving I learnt alot today . the good thing about this trip is we avoided long queues and it wasn't too overcrowded as we went early in the morning the views were amazing from sugerloaf mountain. so make sure your camera/mobile is fully charged. the cable ride is good with amazing views of copacabana beach and the surrounding city. Next was to corcovado. plenty of steps to walk up to so be warned but once you reach the top your greeted by such beauty that is christ the redeemer the climb is worth it . The views below are breathtaking along with this great big statue. I highly recommend this trip it is so worth it and if you get edward as your guide then you will have struck gold .

Although it was cloudy and raining half the time, we had the best time with our guide Newton. When we couldn't see anything from the Christ the Redeemer viewpoint, he took us to another one where we could see. He was patient and funny and has a knowledgeable answer to any question you ask - about Rio, Brazil, history or politics.

Newton was a great Guide. We always felt safe and comfortable. And we had no waitingtime. All in all it was a Wanderführer Time with himmin Rio.

We spent an amazing day with the company of saints, nothing to criticize him, he was an excellent guide explained and told us all the stories that the cities of Rio have and took us to know the incredible places of Rio. Very attentive in everything and very organized.
