Rio De Janeiro Airport Roundtrip Private Transfer

D0 N0T B00K THIS TRIP - it says round trip but entirely FAILED TO DELIVER. Insteead of a return trip to the airport they conveniently 'lost' the details and left us stranded at the hotel. At first we thought they were stuck in traffic then became worried and called the company. But no (conveniently) they had no record of the return half of the explicit round trip - despite the messages sent 6 weeks beforre when booking the trip. Lefty us stranded and scrambeling for an alternative taxi to the airport.

Pickup from GIG was ontime. Guide found us in the airport. Big bus with only our group. Good communication. Took us back to the airport a little early which was fine.

We decided we needed an earlier pickup, so caused the operator much grief—not their fault at all. Our driver, Marcelo was kind and one of the best drivers we have ever had. Thanks for a great experience.

I am giving your service a rating of 3, because when I purchased the private transfer I called over the phone to make sure we were getting a van, and I was told by the rep that we were getting a van, the driver that showed came in in a compact car, I must say and I want to be very clear, our driver was very attentive he explained us lots of things along the way and I am very pleased with his service, but we had to take some off our luggage inside his car after his trunk got filled, I don't think it's fair to me and the driver because I guarantee you we both got the short end of the stick.

Driver did not show to pick us up from airport. I had to call Grayline Brazil to find out why no one was at the airport for the confirmed transfer to our hotel. They said there was a problem with the driver and we would be refunded.

HORRIBLE! Do not book with this company. We had our flight canceled in Milwaukee due to weather. Which meant we didn’t make our connecting flight into Rio. I messaged the company at 8:30pm (as soon as the pilot announced that the flight was cancelled)to let them know we would not be at the airport as planned and to reschedule us the next day. I never got a reply, by the time our flight was canceled, the company who I booked the transfer with was already closed for the day. They didn’t see the message until later after the driver was already there at the airport. Why wouldn’t you CHECK YOUR EMAILS before dispatching the driver???!!! Delayed flights are not something new. When I called I talked to someone and they said they would not reschedule our pickup unless we paid full price. That there was a 24 hour refund policy. Obviously had I had super human powers and was able to predict that the flight would be cancelled, then yeah I would have canceled that day. They refused to work with me and also said insinuated that I was being dishonest because our original flight was on time. What they couldn’t get through their heads was that that flight was our connecting 🤦🏻‍♀️ our Milwaukee flight was canceled. Long story long. DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY. If anything happens to your flights, they don’t give a crap. They’ve already got your money. I’m out $275 and had to pay for a different service. Stay away

Easy and waiting for us, no issues Would recommend we arrived later than expected and the driver was very friendly

Gus was very professional, friendly and informative. He knew alot about the history of Brazil and gave manu good tips.

We were met at the gate at the airport and transferred to our hotel (this was especially appreciated as we had just completed a 26 hour journey from Australia) and then taken from our hotel to the airport in time for us to catch our flight. Both transfers went smoothly without any problems, we were met as arranged before we left home. I would recommend this service.

<p>Pretty expensive, but I thought it was worth it because I was a solo traveler who did not speak Portuguese. I would have been lost or scammed by the taxi drivers if I went that route. Because I was a solo traveler I paid something like 260 for my round trip. It might be a lot but it simplified everything. As soon as I got out of customs there was a very nice English speaking lady that had a sign with my name. I went up to her and after introductions went to her car which was a 3 minute walk away. As she drove me to the hotel we had some small talk but she also gave me some inside information on what to see, what to expect, the customs of the people, and so forth. When she picked me up to go back to the airport she was on-time and courteous. I gave this 4 stars because of the price. Normally I tip, but for the price I felt it was included.</p>

<p>Everything went great! Pick up was right on time and shuttle went straight to the airport. Gus speaks wonderful English and is so warm and helpful. He is very knowledgeable and pointed out not on the history but told us much about the culture of this great city. Worth every dollar we paid.</p>

<p>Both of our drivers for our round trip transfer from the airport to our hotel were punctual and professional. I will continue to use viator for transfers and tours!</p>

<p>Both drivers were very nice, especially the one that returned us to the airport. They were both prompt and patient with us. However, once we got to Rio, we realized it would have been much more economical for us to just use Uber, so that's what we will probably do in the future.</p>

<p>The lady that picked us up after midnight was wonderful - spoke English perfectly and she also picked us up at 2.30am and dropped us off at the airport - could not recommend highly enough - fantastic</p>

<p>The arriving transfer was great - Fatima was waiting for us and gave us a tour on the ride from the airport to Copacabana Beach by pointing out sites and telling us about Rio. However, the return trip was a disappointment. While the local folks were pro-active and helpful accommodating my change in departure the driver who took me to the airport spoke NO English and did not know where to drop me off for a Delta Airlines departure. He dropped my at Terminal 1 which forced me to walk the length of the airport to Terminal 2 - International. Thankfully a RIO Olympics volunteer assisted me with my luggage thru the airport.</p>

<p>Hotel didn't offer shuttle transportation, so there was no choice but to use this service.</p>

<p>Zero communication, avoid. Viator was very unprofessional with this booking. I will never use Viator again. This vendor is unresponsive so if you want to try your luck, go ahead. Otherwise go somewhere else. There are literally tons of options other than Viator.</p>

<p>Yes, this service was expensive but I absolutely loved it. My driver was waiting for me outside of customs with my name on a sign. No waiting. Although he didn't speak English, he was friendly, helpful and professional. On the way back, he was on time and got me to the airport on time. Because of Carnaval, my commute time each way between Copacabana and the airport was one hour. I highly recommend this service.</p>

<p>The pick-ups worked fabulously. We were picked up by Maria Fatima (the best tour guide ever), who told us about sights and stores on the way to the hotel and even tooked a small detour to show us a shopping center. Absolutely marvellous.</p>

We felt very safe in the comfort of his car and with his safe driving.<br/> The return transfer also was excellent.Our driver arrived early for us as he knew the journey would take longer due to the bad weather. His English was excellent and he was very interesting. The car was very clean and comfortable and he also was a very safe driver.It was worth the extra cost to not have any worries about the journeys.</p>

<p>Very professional. The driver was smartly dressed, was waiting at the airport on time and gave some nice comments about the city on the way in. On the return the same driver arrived at the hotel early which was great to avoid the rush hour traffic and again very good service. He drive safely despite heavy rain and his car was immaculate</p>

<p>Great to be met and warmly greeted coming out of customs and driven swiftly to my hotel in comfort. Driver (in both directions), Maria de Fatima was ready and waiting in hotel lobby for return transfer and provided an excellent friendly service. I forgot my jacket on the back seat but as I was returning to Rio GIG airport a few days later in transit Maria kept it safe for me and returned it personally to me. I really can't praise her enough!</p>

<p>Overall Excellent experience. This was my first time to Rio de Janerio and was not too sure about the local transportation and hence chose thisoption. On arrival my viator contact (Maria Oliveira) was right there at the airport with the signboard and the transfer from airport to hotel was safe and seamless with some very useful information about the place shared during the drive. Also on the return journey the Maria was at the hotel before time and drove me through another scenic route of the city thus giving the trip a great finish ! . I would recommend this to my fellow travellers and would also like to thank Maria Oliveira for being an excellent guide for this city.</p>
