This was an amazing experience. Our guide Tati went above and beyond during our time together. The transport staff and boat driver also did a great job making sure we were safe, on time, and have an amazing time!

Such a great experience, the drive is long, but can't help the amazing views and fun you will have. Should add on the jet skis, they make it extra fun.

The transfer to the boat location from Copacabana was about 2.75 hours. The return was 3.5 hours. This wasn’t the provider’s fault, but an expectation should have been established. The traffic was terrible. We could have trimmed it slightly by starting earlier, but the return traffic would have been there. The boat, guide, driver, all were great. Comfortable boat. We stopped at several beaches. The kids loved it. Not much to see in terms of snorkeling. The lunch place was mediocre. I recommend confirming travel time expectations before booking. Also ask for a photo of the boat before booking. We didn’t have any issues, but forgot to ask.

We had an absolutely amazing experience thanks to Flavia, Horacio and the boat crew. We were taken care of from the first to the last minute of the day, Flavia was extremely attentive to our comfort and tailored the experience for us. We were taken to multiple beaches and spots, some that were completely confidential and free of any other visitors. A true five star experience - many thanks again to all involved.

We had an amazing day with Tati!! It was obvious that she loves hosting tours. She was very knowledgeable and kind. My daughters had an amazing time in the water with her. My teenagers had nothing but great things to say about her. We were hoping to get Tati as previous reviews stated that she takes the best pictures. They didn’t lie!! We had an amazing day!

Expensive, but well worth it. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. Communication before the trip was good. We were picked from our hotel in a private car and drove straight to the boat. It is a long drive. Try to avoid Sundays as that is when a lot of locals are out and about. Boat was comfortable and the snorkeling amazing. Very good lunch at a local restaurant at our own expense. And yes, the restaurant accepted card payment

Amazing to swim among thousands of exotic fish in warm blue waters. Very nice day at see in a very comfortable boat. Our tourguide, Tatiana, was excellent and shared willingly her vast knowledge of Brazil and everything we passed on the way. Be prepared for a long drive, try to avoid Sundays if possible.

We had a great time on this trip. It was smoothly orchestrated and readily adjusted to our preferences as well as the weather! It’s not a short drive from Copacabana but the transfer was professional and well done. Our guide Diogo was amazing - personable, knowledgeable, professional - and the driver and boat captain were terrific as well. Worth the splurge!

Do not waste your money ($1,000+) on this company. We booked a private "full-day" tour that turned into a total disaster. Our coordinator, Patricia, completely ghosted us during the tour. When we reached out for help while stuck at a restaurant, she told us she was "at lunch" and was dismissive of our concerns and told us she had to get back to lunch. Because of her lack of communication, we missed 75% of our tour. We only saw one stop out of the four promised because the boat had to head back to the harbor early. We called her multiple times and she wouldn’t pick up and still she has not responded to any of our text messages. To make matters worse, they had zero respect for our privacy. They filmed us the entire time for their own content and told people we were "famous" to create a scene and have people taking pictures with us. They are now refusing to take responsibility, blaming us for the timing, and even trying to upcharge us. Save your money and go with a company that actually values its guests and their time. They still have not responded

Everyone from our driver, to the captain and his assistant and especially Tatiana were friendly and knowledgeable. They made us feel like family and went out of their way to provide excellent service.

I had a great experience with Tati as our tour guide. We felt safe and taken care of the entire time. We traveled with a huge group and had an amazing time and were given recommendations for things to do in Brazil for the remainder of our trip! 10/10 experience.

This was our favorite adventure in Brasil. Tatiana was a splendid host, explaining the vibe and culture of each island in detail. We were the only people on some beaches so it was a super private experience. Make sure to arrive with an appetite! Tatiana took us to a lovely restaurant with fresh seafood for lunch. Bonus, we saw sea turtles.

We started early in the morning (6:30am) and traveled from our hotel in Copacabana to the boat launch place in a few hours, then were off on a fast motor boat to reach the first stop fur snorkeling in only 20 minutes or so. Tour guide was great, and adapted all stops to what we wanted, showing us around other areas. We did have bad luck with the weather. It started off sunny, but it was April and there was rain. A record rain storm four days earlier has caused a lot of erosion and runoff on the island, so the “blue lagoon” area had brown water with leaves floating in some areas, although we were still able to see fish and coral when snorkeling. After a few reasonably sunny stops, we went to lunch at a nice restaurant called something like ‘Grotto of the Stars’ or ‘Cave of the Stars,’ but by then it was raining, so we headed back in the boat through the rain, bouncing over choppy water. Returning to Rio, we encountered very bad rush hour traffic in the rain so we didn’t return to the hotel about 13 hours after we left. Still a nice trip even with rains, and we were glad we went.

This was an amazing experience , we visit beautiful beaches, at Ilha Grande. But our guide Tatina was that best, she is very knowledgeable, and helpful , also our driver was very kind. Thanks to everybody, specifically to Tatiana.

This tour is a lot of fun in the sun! Make sure you bring your sunscreen!! You’re basically island and beach hopping and it’s so beautiful . Bring a snack

First things first I want to highlight our amazing guider Tatiana Manasfi she’s very professional and knowledgeable about not only the history in general but the area of the tour and it’s surrounds she’s very attentive to details and proactive taking action anytime without even being asked to m, always making sure that everyone is comfortable, safe and having a good time. Her energy changes the whole atmosphere. That being said we also had a great captain and van driver, everyone involved was polite and friendly the tour is just as its announced and things run smoothly. I highly recommend it.

Excellent experience. This was a birthday surprise for my partner and our tour guide Tatiana went above and beyond to make it special for us. We had the most amazing guide Tatiana who is very knowledgeable about everything Rio and took special time with each member of our family. She comes with you swimming and exploring and shows the fun and quiet spots in the islands. The boat driver and transport driver both very nice as well. We had a great day with Angelica, who looked after our well-being. The private tour, where you can do everything at your own pace, was great. The islands were beautiful and lunch on the beach was a great experience. Snorkeling was also worth it, we even saw two underwater turtles. Once again the transfer worked great and everything was well organized so that we were able to enjoy the day without waiting. I would do it again and again! Amazing tour guide, Tatiana, showed us all the mist beautiful places for swimming and suntanning. Boat captain Tiago was also excellent. I highly recommend this tour. Amazing views and amazing staff.

A massive drive from Rio. It is 2.5hrs drive time there and the same return. Worth the effort though as the islands are beautiful to see. The lunch at the restaurant was expensive and not that great. The downside of our tour was we not only took the boat driver and tour guide but the car driver also came along - which made the small boat more crowded than we anticipated. The guide was good value and spoke English well but the driver was tired by the end of the day and drove like he was in the fast and furious movie, despite requesting a steady trip home.

We had a wonderful time! Such a relaxing day. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a restaurant on the shoreline and visited several beaches. The first spot was crystal clear light blue water with lots of fish for snorkelling! Bring your masks! Our guide was very nice and accommodating to our needs. On the bus drive we stopped for fresh coconuts to drink and to purchase other food as well as to use the restrooms. Then close to our arrival, we stopped at a store so we could purchase fruit, drinks & snacks for the boat! What a great experience!

Way to know Rio tour to Ilha Grande surpassed my expectation. They picked us up and dropped us to each of our locations. We were able to cover so much territory within our day trip seeing so many beautiful towns, mountains and scenic areas between some urban areas. We felt very safe as the driver was very good. Tati, our tour guide was very relatable and spoke great English., explaining key points of interest. The boat trip was great, accommodated 10 people as we explored different parts of Ilha Grande including the Blue Lagoon. We brought our own snorkeling gear. But they said they have it if needed. Glad we made time for this trip as Angra dos Reis has so many beautiful islands all throughout the boat trip.

We wanted to experience a day outside of the city of Rio de Janeiro, so we splurged on this private trip to Ilha Grande. Patricia provided good communication prior to pick up at our hotel. We had a stop at a convenience store along the way for refreshments and met our boat at a marina in the resort area of Ilha Grande. Even on a rainy day, the scenery is very beautiful in this area and I highly recommend a visit. The dockside restaurant we visited was very good, as well. Way to Know Rio can also customize a tour for you to see city sights and hidden gems according to your interests. Very fluent in English and safe, reliable service!

Amazing tour. Smooth pickup at the hotel in a comfortable van. Very skilled driver, tour guide was very knowledgeable. Boat captain friendly and accommodating. Took us to some beautiful places around Ilha Grande. Definitely recommend this tour and will do it again if we’re ever back in the area.

Great day exploring 6 different beaches on the big island! Romeo our guide spoke English very well over a multitude of topics and was well engaged with us throughout the day. It’s a solid two hours each way from Copacabana but worth the trip because of the beauty of the islands. The speedboat was well equipped including an awning. Lunch though additional was excellent. It was great to avoid the crowds. Highly recommend!

Great experience and great guide! We loved our trip. We wouldn’t have made it to Ilha Grande without it. Patty was great. While you don’t go to the main beach of the island, you get a great experience and it is definitely worth it!

This is a truly GREAT tour for all the family! We were picked up from our hotel in a private car by Patricia and from the first minute we were made to feel so welcome. We stopped to pick up some snacks and drinks and then drove to the coast to start our luxury speed boat tour! We swam with hundreds of tropical fish in a stunning lagoon and from there we visited several virgin beaches throughout the day on different islands. It felt like we were the first people ever to go there as there were no other tourists or crowds or anyone to be seen. A genuinely exclusive private VIP tour for the whole family. Sun, swimming, snorkelling and local food in a jungle paradise. 100% recommended! I will definitely be recommending Patricia and her company to friends and families who come to Rio! I was with a group of 7 who regularly travels around the world together. We have done so many tours together and this was one of the BEST we have EVER been on. Honestly it was mostly because of the wonderful crew. It felt like a party the whole day and we didn't want it to end! They mud us feel so special, they were so much fun, and they didn't rush us at all! We were so sad when the day ended (which was very late because we were just having a blast together!). They took us to a lunch spot hidden in the mangroves and we could shower, watch the crabs, sit in hammocks, or just chill by the water while we waited for our amazing food. The van was comfortable with great AC. The boat driver listened to us when we said what we enjoyed and tried to find the best places for us. I especially loved when he went right past the group of 10 boats and we just found our own area! It was a truly incredible day. I would recommend this over any tour in the world, let alone in Rio. We became a little family during this trip. I hope I find my back here for another day out with Patricia, Fabiana and Marcus!

Awesome experience. Our host Wagner and Fabiana were great company super insightful and very down to earth. The ride in the boat and the stops were also fantastic. Just what the doctor ordered with white beaches, brief walks through nature, and plenty of down time to chill. The car ride out was perfect for learning the ins and outs of Brazil. I would do this tour everyday if I could!

This was a fantastic experience! Everything was organized perfectly smooth, from start to finish, a brilliant execution. Mr. Romulo Palma, who was our guide for the whole tour, was amazing and left us with a life-lasting experience! We have learned sooo much about Brazil, Rio and Ilha Grande after this trip and now we just have to come back! We are apparently among the first to have booked the private speedboat tour from Angra to Ilha Grande. It's not the cheapest tour on offer in Rio, but it was well worth the money to us. You will receive a driver from Rio, a private guide, and a private speedboat driver to the island. The island itself is gorgeous and sleepy - everything we were looking for. The private boat means that you can control how you spend your time. We loved swimming in the blue lake and spent much more time there than average. We were less interested in shopping, so we breezed over that stop. Our guide, Mauro, was fantastic and really made the day special. I highly recommend this tour!

Spectacular site, attention, guide, everything was amazing

An excursion worth more for the fun of the experience than for the destination itself. We had a great day with friends. The team was excellent. The only bad thing was the traffic jam on the way back, but that's something alien to the organization.
