It was a great way to get started in Rio. Flavio was a wonderful guide and person and showed us around the important sights of Rio. She explained the culture and the geography of the city and we were able to see the spots we had marked out with ample time. I am sure we would use these tour services again!
Daniel made our tour to Christ the Redeemer and through the forest truly unforgettable. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. My daughter was so hopeful to spot monkeys in the forest, and Daniel made it his personal mission to find them for her — patiently searching, pointing out every rustle in the trees, and never giving up on making that moment happen for her. Daniel was a fantastic guide. Our ship was late and he waited. We had a list of what we wanted to see and he checked off every box even though it was Carnival!!! We even had a drink on Ipenemi Beach. He took great care of my 93 year old husband
Don't visit Christ the Redeemer between 10:00am and 2:00 p.m.! The crowd was overwhelming and the description does not include a warning about 150 steps that must be climbed after taking the " packed" train ride. Attempting to take a picture with thousands of people is almost impossible. It took 3 hours to see the statue even with skip the line tickets" and therefore we had no time to see any other sites in Rio de Janeiro.
We love the fact that the itinerary is flexible to our pace and liking. We didn’t feel rush and Marco is very knowledgeable.

Booked a private tour for two, our guide Diogo was incredible. Very knowledgeable of the area, kind and personable. Tours with my 89 year old mother can be difficult as people are usually inpatient and she cannot keep up with the fast pace! Diogo was extremely patient with her, always giving her a hand. Even procuring a chair for her anytime there was a wait. We saw so much more then we would have had we been on our own. Meeting us in the lobby of our hotel with a personal driver she didn’t start the tour tired from walking to a meeting point. If you’re in Rio, take the private tour and request Diogo!!

Worth every penny! Not having transport in Rio - this was the best way to see all the “hidden gems” and missing all the long queues and overrated tourist spots. Santos took us to the most amazing places and views and experiences the true Brazilian style without the crowds. Completely tailored to what we wanted and wanted to skip. He is an amazing photographer too!

Excellent tour....Isaac went out of his way to ensure our comfort and provided multiple insights into the historical sights we visited. My partner had hurt herself in a fall that morning, which was later diagnosed as a fracture in her left foot and Isaac and Carlos took steps to ensure she experienced as little pain as possible during the course of our tour. I highly recommend Isaac (and Carlos)! One thing I would recommend improving is the communication with the tour operator beforehand and establishing a known (in this instance WhatsApp) method to contact Isaac beforehand. If we were asked to download WhatsApp prior to the start date and then provide contact details for Isaac, that would have improved the overall experience
Diogo is a national treasure and that nation is Brazil! He shared his knowledge about his homeland with us and gave us an EPIC tour! None of our questions went unanswered! We went to Christ the Redeemer and braved the crowds. He suggested angles for photos and allowed us to explore on our own for a few moments. After a few minutes we joined back up with him and took the train back down the mountain. Diogo, in one train ride, seamlessly blended humor and facts equally into a vocal tapestry that told us the sorted history of the founding and early centuries of Brazil. Throughout the tour we felt like we were in town with a friend just walking around sharing his passion for Brazil. Then we proceeded to the Botanical Gardens and it was Amazing ! When Diogo didn't have the information to share which was rare he went and got it! If you are a nature lover this should be on your list! It has just enough jungle immersion for our group for this trip. We walked for over an hour around the grounds and it felt like a few minutes sightseeing with family. We ate at the very famous restaurant “Grarota de Ipanema” where the famous bossa nova song “The girl from Ipanema” was written. The food we ate there was one of the highlights of our trip in Brazil. When in Brazil do yourself a favor, book the tour and request Diogo! You won't regret it,but you will learn alot and have a great time!

Our driver was nice too and car was comfortable with good air conditioner. On our request Beth took us to small shop to taste typical brazilian pastries with meat and drink coconut. We booked 2 tours with Trip Advisor and we’re SO lucky to get Fabio the tour guide and his driver. Jaou. The first day he and his driver were exactly on time at Rio De Janeiro port . Barry, ( Fabio) was brilliant and his knowledge was second to none of Rio and Brazils history. And Jaou knowledge of the road network was too. We were taken to Sugar Loaf mountain and on the second day Fabio and Jaou met us again to go to Christ the Redeemer. Fabio has made our holiday amazing. He even had the time to take us into the Coco cabana hotel by using his charm to get us a visit by sweet talking the manager. Then to the lovely beach bar across the road where he ordered all our drinks. Fabio is the best tour guide we have ever had and Jaou was a Gentleman. So a HUGE thank you to Fabio and Jaou

Our guide Michael was wonderful, very experienced and offered suggestions to make our experience amazing. After the Cristo we want an authentic Rio lunch and an art experience before rejoining our ship.
We prepaid several weeks before the scheduled tour and received a voucher the day prior. We were at the designated meeting point 10 min. early. When there was no communication and no tour guide after 20 min late we called and texted to find out what is the status. After several minutes of trying to communicate the tour company said they made an error and cancelled the tour. We lost 30 min of time and were left to try and figure out what tour companies near the Cruise Port are safe and can provide an English speaking guide. Total failure of both tour company and Viator
We booked the tour 2 days prior and we were glad Fabio had availability as he is very in demand. And the day before the tour he briefed us on what to expect for the trip and sent us links to buy the tickets in advance. And he suggested buying the "Fast Pass" tickets as this will help us skip the long lines and get in the priority fast lines which was an excellent idea! Otherwise we would have waited in line for long periods and waste precious time. Fabio is very charming and knowledgeable, and he speaks perfect English, Spanish, and Portuguese. And Fabio, with his trusted driver Brian, made sure we were comfortable in the car rides between the tourist points we wanted to cover and gave us background and historical info on anything of interest. We highly recommend Fabio and Brian for a private tour!

First time in Rio. I will start by saying our tour guide Fabio and driver Romulo were both very nice and friendly. However, I don’t feel like this tour was worth the cost. I think it would have been cheaper to Uber around and see things on our own. We were talked into upgrading to a full day tour however we still only saw the 3 places that were guaranteed on the half day tour. When you factor in all the entry costs especially since they encourage you to get the fast passes, tour ends up being quite expensive. We also had to ask our tour guide lots of questions to get info on the stops. This was not like other tours I have done in other countries where the guide gives you a ton of information up front. Our tour guide and driver made us feel safe. Even though we asked to venture out on our own once the tour was done, the tour guide stayed with us until it was time for our return flight home.
Fantastic way to start the trip with Fábio (guide) and Romulo (driver). We were able to hop off the plane and not worry about a thing. We had a great half day touring Christ The Redeemer and the Botanical Garden. Fábio added great commentary to our adventure and expertly navigated throughout. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting an stress-free way to see the sights and culture. We could’ve easily spent a full day exploring with this helpful duo.
The weather messed us up and we didn’t get to go to Christ. The weather can be helped, but all the fillers could have been. Boring. We saw so many churches. It gets old. Subbing part with some good vibes we have been great. Tour driver and guide were very good.

Would give six stars if I could!!! We had the most spectacular first day in Rio, thanks to Michael! His passion for this city is contagious. This was our first visit here and we wanted to cover a lot of territory. The day was seamless and we got to see so many of the iconic sites. Michael was very knowledgeable about the city and we learned so much as we drove around and during our stops. Michael showed up right on time at our hotel and we had a relaxing ride from stop to stop. He reccomended an excellent restaurant for lunch, where we had VIP treatment. Michael is very personable, social and well connected with the staff at every site we visited. We felt so safe and at ease the entire day. I highly recommend Michael and his team for your Rio visit!
