About Activity
On this 4-hour adventure, you will experience an amazing hike to the Dois Irmaos (Two brothers) hill. The Dois Irmãos hill is the twin peak rising 533 m at the end of Leblon Beach. The mountain, and its 844 m high neighbor, Pedra da Gavea (Gavea Rock), are seen from most parts of the southern zone of Rio, and from the hill, you will have even more unique views of our spectacular city. The climb will start from the popular Vidigal favela, the one with the highest number of foreign inhabitants in Rio. Then, walk through a network of trails, footpaths, and labyrinths into the Penhasco Dois Irmãos Natural Park. The higher you go, the more impressive the sights become, with different views of the Pedra da Gavea, the south zone neighborhoods with beaches of Leblon, Ipanema, and Copacabana, the Rodrigo de Freitas Lake, the Christ statue, the Sugar Loaf, and the immense Atlantic Ocean. It is the only real 360º spot on a mountain summit in Rio.
