Morro Two Brothers Trail, During The Day And Sunset In Vidigal

I honestly couldn’t believe I was being picked up by a motorcycle since I was the only one on the tour. That was problematic. Other than that, the tour was amazing. Yeah, I took the motorcycle - it was crazy!

They showed us the best experience! They even waited as we were late which was due to traffic and they were very respectful, personable, patient and understanding. I’d give them whatever I have for the time they showed us on the hike!

Awesome hike and breathtaking views! The host was awesome — super friendly, professional, and clearly knows the trail inside out. His English was excellent, which made communication easy and has super chill vibes!

First things first, our guide was very friendly and we had a good time on the hike. Disclaimer, the hike can be quite challenging for beginners both up and down the trail. Especially in hot weather. (Loads of people were slipping) I wouldn’t say this was not the most informative tour. The group asked plenty of questions throughout the hike that were not answered or answered with not much detail or explanation. I really appreciate the familiarity our guide had with the local people. It made travelling through the favela by motorcycle much more reassuring. Overall, having a guide was useful when arriving at Vidigal to ensure safe travels to and from the park. However, the guide was not very informative and I believe transportation and entrance fee should have been included.

I had a fabulous time on the tour! Leo was our guide and he was so helpful. He gave us break when we needed it and helped us in the trickier parts of the hike. I would recommend!

Rodrigo was an excellent guide. He is very familiar with the hiking trail in addition to the history of Rio; I learned a lot of the surrounding area and Favela through Rodrigo. He was also kind enough to take the best pictures at the peak since I didn’t want to go all the way to the edge. Further, he provided great recs for food, shopping and sightseeing in Rio. This was the third time we walked Trilha Dois Irmaos. The other two times were more then 10 years ago. Everything was organized well. Rodrigo our guide was punctual and the van was already there. The guide was very helpful and explained things about the trail and had photos on his phone how the surrounding used to be. At the top the view was stunning! The trail is rather easy walk. Once back at the top of Vidigal we took motortaxi to go down. Loved it! Recommend Rodrigo Indio as your guide!

I went with a group of 9, so with our tour guide the group was 10. I thought it would be hard to manage but it was fantastically fun! We got to some stops along the way, where we could take a break and enjoy some views. By the peak of the hike, you can see all of the city, mountains, beaches and favelas to enjoy. Our guide knew the best spots to take photos and was courteous the entire hike. I implore anyone visiting Brazil to take this journey and make a memory of a lifetime.

A great experience! Our guide, Thainá, was super friendly, welcoming and very helpful - we felt comfortable and safe the whole time. The scooter transportation through the favela was particularly practical - a real experience! The hike was well organized, with impressive views over Rio that we won't soon forget. An absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to get to know Rio from a different, authentic perspective!

Great late afternoon hike to the summit of the "big brother" for sunset. Rode an itau bike out to the last station near the sheraton and the walked 10 min to the praca. (Meeting point). Easy and safe, lots of people on the walkway. Leonardo my guide was awesome, great guide. The moto bike ride from the praca to the trailhead at the top of vidrigal (and back down afterward) was a blast in and of itself. Hang on tight 😀. The hike was moderate and took about 45 minutes with great views along the way and at the top. On the way back down, we heard the local band rehearsing (for next years carnival!) in a small gym at the top of the favela, and Leo took us in to watch. What an amazing experience. Great 3 hour experience.. Leo, thank you for a great evening!

Our hike up Two Brothers (Morro Dois Irmãos) with Rodrigo was one of the highlights of our trip to Rio. This was such an amazing hike. Luckily it was on my itinerary. I did not book tickets in advance but being able to book the night before was great. Once I was able to purchase my ticket, almost immediately the staff responded. I love how professional they were. The day of the hike I got a message from my guide Jessie that she was already at the meeting location. So on top of being really responsive, they are super timely as well, which is great. I appreciate that besides the cost of the tickets they were super upfront about the extra cost, which were the motorcycle ride to the entrance and then once you get to the entrance of Morro Dois Irmãos you have the entrance fee as well. Because I was prepared the hike was great and then afterwards Jessie was kind enough to show me around for a little bit before she had to meet her next group. Before the day of the hike, I messaged Jessie and told her how excited I was and looking forward to it she responded that it would be an unforgettable day and true to her words. It was definitely an unforgettable day. Next time I'm in Rio, I will definitely book with this group again in the future for other activities and hikes.

This experience was amazing! Even though I am not an experienced hiker, Rodrigo was incredibly patient and encouraging. He shared such great information about the area. This was so lovely, I went with my friend and Leon picked us up at Vidigal, him and Daniel took us up to the entrance with help of 2 motorbike drivers, so much fun! Then we hiked up to see the sunset, stopped at several spots with amazing views, Leon took beautiful free pics of us! :) I recommend having a fully charged phone for the way down! You will need light, the trail is not easy even though described as such. And returning in the dark is even trickier. Bring a snack for the Top, you'll need it for strenght. You can buy water on the way at one spot. All together a total adventure, I loved it! Thank you!

We had a great time! Rodrigo is a great person, and very patient when we needed to take breaks. We loved our hike and time there. We felt safe and supported all through the activity. Rodrigo always checked on our group and was very sympathetic overall. The view was beautiful and very worth it. Super recommended!

Best hike ever with the best guide in Rio! It was a 1,5hour hike with Rodriguo who was supportive, welcoming & friendly, and gave us lots of tips for visiting Brazil in general! He was very invested, took some amazing pictures and was very helpful in explaining us the different path we could have used for the hike! The best hike you’ll do Rio with the best guide, Rodrigo! I highly recommend this even if you’re a solo traveler as I was. Easy hike with a beautiful view. Favela, some parts of Rio, the Christ redeemer… so many things to see and you can even see monkeys if you’re lucky. But the best of all, was our guide Rodrigo. He is very responsive, gives a lot of informations about the place and makes the adventure fun! You can trust him, anywhere you go and no matter the tour you choose to make with him. I went for this mini-trek with Rodrigo on my 1st day in Rio and nothing has really beat it for me in the next few weeks. The views are amazing, the motorcycle ride to the top (and even more so down) fun, the route fairly easy, and Rodrigo is just a super friendly, accommodating, and knowledgable and person to be around. Also, in my experience one of the very few guides in Rio that goes that extra mile to provide a unique experience and makes you feel genuinely welcomed. Highly recommended.

The guys who arrange the trip as a solo traveller for me are superb! They keep you updated and during the trip they look after you and make sure you feel safe. It's a must activity if you're into moderate hiking and love to see a good view of Rio de Janeiro at a top mountain! Also if you love nature and want the forest vibe then this is for you.
