Super Tour with a Great Impression and Tour Guide ! Highly recommended the Tour and the Guide - fantastic

My tour guide Bruno was simply amazing. The conversations regarding general knowledge of Petropolis, Rio.and Brazil, and recommendations on everything from hiking to dining were every bit worth the trip. Petropolis is a lovely, quaint city with an interesting history. One note, we skipped the brewery which apparently isn't very interesting, but instead took a drive and quick hike through Tijuca forest! Thank you for an amazing day trip!

The Petrópolis tour was nothing what I thought it was going to be, Ms Eva was very knowledgeable spoked 3 languages, very informed step by steps. Know her history. I felt it was a little overate the Museum. The Crystal Palace was a joke, just a empty building. The Quintandinha Palace was should a long drive just to only see the outside from across the lake. Didn’t walk down Teresa Street, but did go inside the Mall. NeiGotic Cathedral was very nice. The Chocolate Factory was very nice. The Domonts house seem from distance. The lunch meal was amazing, drinks not inclue. Dessert not included. But it was nice, what make nice was Eva the guide.

Petropolis is a fascinating place if you are interested in history. The drive there is also very scenic. There are two guides who are very knowledgeable about the different places we visited and could answer any questions. Claudia did a great job of translating and her English is very good.

We wanted to have one major historical day trip from Rio and found this great tour. Camila & Michel were our guides and they were both excellent. Both showed great knowledge and passion for the Petropolis history and area which made the tour that much better. The highlight was the former palace of Dom Pedro II, as well as learning all the history of the city. Highly recommend this tour to anybody.

What can I say? Words just don’t do an experience like we had any justice. It was a breathtaking tour in the city of Petrópolis. Camila, our guide took us on the trip of a lifetime. With Covid, they were super flexible and accommodating and fixed our tour without any issues. We went to Quitandinha Palace, Petrópolis Imperial Museum, Cathedral of São Pedro, Brewery Bohemia, just to mention a few. We ate amazing local food and experienced life like it is for the locals. We drove the whole way having Camila sharing so much information about Rio, culture and history. If you choose to go to Brazil, you have to go with Gregtur. This tour to Petrópolis was truly perfect and well planned. Safe, secure and incredibly tailor made just for us. The customer service was exemplary and our guide was a master in Rio and Petrópolis, Camila. She has a true passion for history and an incredible educational background as well. Petropólis is very clean, well appointed and lots and lots of food! We were able to see the main city’s highlights. Camila thoughtfully showed us the important aspects of the city. We went to Santos Dumont's House, Crystal Palace and enjoy the vibrant gardens and museums . It was an absolute pleasure. We have a friend for life in Rio now. Gregtur was wonderful to work with! They were extremely helpful with planning everything and made a tour to Petrópolis in the budget I was working with. Our guide was very patient and answered all the questions my group had along the way. The times in Petrópolis was amazing, with great weather, beautiful views and contemplating beautiful landscapes of Petrópolis. Starting with Renato contacted me and provided the whole information about the tour, the driver Rodrigo that was courteous, professional and safe. Camila who the tour guide, joined us giving a detailed explanation about the city of Rio, she is bilingual with good command of English language and Michel the tour guide in Petropolis, who gave us a detailed History of the city and historic sites. This is the perfect team if you are looking for a professional and knowledgeable experience.

I highly recommend this tour if you want to know more about Brazil history and culture, beyond the beach and carnival's life. This was private tour, so my partner and I where picked up on time by Rodrigo ( the driver) and Bruno ( the guide). Bruno was amazig, very helpfull the entire trip. He helped us a lot with the communication with the locals. Every step of the road Bruno was telling us facts about the landmarks of the city, about and Brazil's history, he even had photos of the Royalty so we could have a better understanding of the facts. Because we went on COVID times the main attraction, the Royal Palace was closed, but we got to know the other gems of Petropolis, and once we were there we meet with a local guide, Michel, who told us evertything about the city, and took us to really nice places. He is a really nice guy, very proffesional and knowleadgeable about the city. Thanks to Rodrigo for our safe rides to home,he is an excellent driver, and I can't strech this enough. I always get dizzy when traveling by car, I usually take a travel-sick pill, but with Rodrigo I didn't have to do it, even though the road had a lot of curves. The van was spotless, fully equiped with air-condicionate and snacks. Thanks to Renato, the organizer, he did a great job making sure everythig run smoothly. We came to Brazil to relax and enjoy, and thanks to GregTur we did it.

Our guide Newton, excellent, very friendly and kind, explains everything very well throughout the journey and the visits. Very interesting, we have learned a lot about the history of Brazil. Highly recommended

Imperdível! Guia Newton muito atencioso e conhecedor. Petrópolis tem uma história arquitetônica riquíssima, vale muito a pena conhecer a Cidade Imperial.

Petrópolis es una ciudad maravillosa, llena de historia y hermosos paisajes. Nuestro guía Bruno y conductor Junior fueron excelentes, amables y cordiales. Visitamos lugares como el Palacio Quitandinha, la Catedral, el Palacio Imperial, la cervecería Bohemia, entre muchos otros. Disfrutamos conocer la historia del lugar. Cabe mencionar que Petrópolis cuenta con un clima agradable. Probamos una buena cerveza y más tarde un muy buen chocolate. Si visita Río de Janeiro no dude en visitar Petrópolis no se podrá arrepentir. Tour genial de la mano de un carioca muy conocedor de su historia y cultura.

The visit to Petropolis should be considered an excellent option if you visit Rio de Janeiro. Our guide Bruno and driver Junior were attentive and very friendly. You can learn about part of Petropolis’ history and enjoy beautiful scenery. Nice weather and enjoy a good beer. It is really worth it and I would gladly visit this beautiful place again.

My 15-year-old son and I stayed 10 hours on a private tour to Petropolis. The Hanry guide was prepared and kind, the Junior driver efficient and responsible. We saw as many things as possible and were interesting a visit to the state of Rio and the visit of the imperial residence, the brewery and the residence of Dumont. Very recommended.

It is a city worth knowing for the history of the Brazilian Imperial family and for all the immigration of German, Italian origin... We ate a lot of chocolate and we loved the Bohemian Brewery.

It was very good this tour to Petrópolis, the guide Camila was very attentive, she has a great knowledge in all the tourist attractions of the city, we left Petrópolis enchanted. I want to repeat. We thought the tour “A Day in Rio” would be the best but we had a surprise when we made the tour to Petrópolis because we understood the importance of the Imperial Period for Brazil and the contribution of Emperor Don Pedro II. Tour based on surprising stories since the time of Don Juan VI... We just love!!!

My friends, Petrópolis is beautiful!!! A city 809 meters above sea level whose climate is cooler and which looks like a trip to Germany! 😍If you want to know the history of Don Pedro II and be inserted into German culture, make this tour!

We went to Petrópolis during a pandemic and then the Imperial Museum, the famous home of Don Pedro II, was closed. However, this tour was wonderful because we met Colono's house and had lunch at an amazing pasta restaurant! In addition, we could enjoy much more the tour to the brewery.
