We had lots of fun visiting some of the most iconic postcards of Rio. The group was small and our guide, Sandra, was great.

This experience was fine but I wouldn’t consider this a “tour” of anything. It’s simply transportation to each of the locations with some very basic information about Rio while in the van. They match up multiple groups of different languages as well.
Everything was good. Marcio was amazing and really went above and beyond to make sure everything was great! Highly recommend!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful private tour with Frederico! Frederico was absolutely wonderful! He took me to so many incredible places throughout Rio and shared so much information about Brazil, the history, the culture, each place we visited, and even things we saw along the way. I learned so much from him throughout the entire day. What really stood out to me was how kind and patient he was. I was having some difficulty walking and was moving more slowly, and he never once made me feel rushed. He was incredibly attentive, helping me cross streets, holding my hand when I needed it, and helping me get on and off the vans and cable cars. I felt very safe and well cared for the entire time. His English was excellent, which made everything so easy, and he was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely kind. Even after the tour was over, he sent me suggestions for other places I might enjoy during the rest of my time in Rio. Frederico went above and beyond and made my day in Rio incredibly special. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a private tour. Thank you, Frederico, for such a memorable day! ❤️
Daniel was a fantastic tour guide who could speak multiple languages, was very good with timing and very knowledgeable and friendly. He even helped me to negotiate with a vender when I was buying football shirts during the tour. The experience itself was perfect, we saw all of the sites and in good time. Thank you for a fantastic memory!
Absolute disaster of a tour—save your money and book with anyone else. What should have been a highlight of Rio turned into an exercise in frustration: Tardy & Incomprehensible Guide: Teresa showed up late for our hotel pickup. Despite specifically paying for an English-speaking tour, none of us could understand most of what she said, delivered in an entirely monotone, hard-to-hear monologue. Abandoned on Sugarloaf: When bad weather hit, Teresa decided to cut the tour short—but only told six of the ten people on the bus. She literally left four of us stranded at the top of Sugarloaf Mountain while guiding the rest down. To make matters worse, she hadn't coordinated with the bus driver either, leaving the other six guests waiting in the pouring rain while we desperately searched for our missing guide at the peak. Zero Visibility: The torrential rain and thick fog made Christ the Redeemer a complete wash, with zero views or adjustments made for the conditions. Completely chaotic, unsafe, and unprofessional communication. Avoid this operator at all costs.
Excellent tour, I would definitely recommend doing it. Very nice visit to all three sites with ample time to spend at each, particularly Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf. Our tour guide Jonas was great! He gave a nice history of Rio while also giving us information on the sites we were visiting. My wife and I both feel the tour was well worth our time!
The tour was very pleasant and we got to see the best sites in Brazil. Sunset was the best time to visit Sugarloaf. Jonas and Felipe our driver were great!
Jonas and Felipe were both incredible tour guides and drivers. We were picked up timely and they gave a fantastic tour. I would absolutely book them again!
Most enjoyable and interesting day. Newton was a great guide, very helpful. The fast track at Sugar Loaf was a huge benefit. The only issue was the weather with clouds obscuring some of the views and definitely could not see the sunset, but just bad luck.
Very overpriced for what it was. We paid nearly £200 for something that should have been less than half that. The meeting point was inconvenient - when I'd booked initially I'd checked it was near our hotel - the place was changed before the trip. For nearly £100 each I'd have expected water and food to be supplied. Let me be clear, £100 each got us entry to Christ Redeemer, and Sugarloaf mountain, plus transfers. To do this by simply paying the tickets and using Uber would have been a fraction of the price and far more relaxed. The guide, whilst pleasant, didn't really do anything other than make sure we got on and off the mini bus. No guided tour. No commentary whilst travelling. Please also note that due to viator being compromised, my credit card was frozen. The booking staff at the tour place were good, but all in all an utter rip off and would not recommend at all.
Jalbeir was a great tour guide and very informative. He provided us with plenty of interesting information and gave us a set amount of time to explore each location on our own, which we really appreciated. The only downside was that there was no designated time for lunch, so we had to grab some snacks while visiting the Selarón Steps. Other than that, the tour was great, and we really enjoyed the experience.
Saw lots of sights but felt a little rushed at times. Met lots of other tourists on the pleasant van ride, which was full.
I had a great experience. Thalyta made sure we maximized our time.
I have traveled to 50+ countries and have used Viator to book tours for many years. This was by far the worst tour experience I have had through the platform. First, the tour description is misleading. The listing says the tour “starts 11:30am” and lasts “6 to 7 hours,” which reasonably implies an end time of approximately 5:30–6:30pm. However, the guide told us the tour would likely end around 8:00–8:30pm. When I pointed out the discrepancy, she argued that the tour itself ends at 6:30pm and that pickup and drop-off are not included in the stated duration. That explanation does not make sense: if more than 30 minutes is spent picking up participants, then the actual tour does not begin at 11:30am as advertised. The itinerary and duration should be communicated accurately and transparently. More seriously, the tour guide, Cristiane, was extremely unprofessional. There were several recurring issues: 1. She had very poor time management. We arrived late at virtually every stop and left late as well. Although she repeatedly gave the group specific departure times, she did not follow those times herself. She would spend time chatting with certain participants rather than moving the group along. 2. She walked unusually slowly and did not effectively lead the group. Our group was repeatedly passed by other tour groups. More importantly, she often walked in the middle of the group rather than at the front, leaving tourists to figure out where to go next. This was confusing and did not feel like professional tour leadership. 3. She appeared to give preferential attention to one couple. She spent a disproportionate amount of time chatting with them, even when doing so delayed the rest of the group. This made other participants feel ignored and unwelcome. 4. The commentary was very limited. At each stop, she generally spoke for only a few minutes, much of which consisted of repeating the same information. The actual useful information about the places we were visiting was minimal. 5. Her communication repeatedly created unnecessary stress. From the beginning, she emphasized that I might be late for my flight. Later, she repeatedly warned the group that there would be no restroom access for two hours. The way this information was communicated was confusing enough that several people—including me—stopped unnecessarily at the second-to-last restroom because we misunderstood what she meant. 6. Most importantly, she failed to answer a straightforward question and then became rude when I asked again. I asked several times about my options for leaving the final stop early so that I could catch my flight. Instead of answering the question, she repeatedly explained why there was a long line. When she eventually became frustrated and said she had already answered me four times, she still had not actually answered my question. It was another tourist in the group who finally explained my options. This was particularly disappointing because the concern about my flight had been raised repeatedly by the guide herself. The combination of an inaccurate tour description, poor time management, and an unprofessional guide ultimately meant that I missed the final activity. More importantly, I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome throughout the tour. A tour guide’s job is not only to provide information but also to manage the group, communicate clearly, respect participants’ time, and make guests feel welcome. Unfortunately, Cristiane did not do those things. I have taken many guided tours around the world, and this experience fell far below the standard I would expect from a tour listed on Viator. I would not recommend this tour, particularly if you have a flight or other time-sensitive plans afterward.
I recommend Daniel as tour guide. Passionate and open to discussion. The half day tour is rich and comfortable with a very easy pick Up. Nice experience i won’t forget
This tour was excellent, and these 3 major tourist sites were covered as advertised. Jonas was an excellent tour guide - he's personable, knowledgeable, and fluent in both English and Spanish. He made sure our group stayed together, and gave us enough time at both sites. He was also resourceful - when the lines at Sugarloaf were longer than expected, he made sure that we could still get the sunset views of Rio de Janeiro from Sugarloaf Mountain as promised. Travel times can be long between these 3 sites, but he used this time to point out important tourist landmarks of interest that we passed along the way that we might want to visit during our stay in Rio. Keep in mind that you should bring a warm layer for Corcovado and Sugarloaf mountain, especially during winter in the Southern Hemisphere. Also, if you're staying in Barra de Tijuca, you will be away from your hotel for more than a half-day. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you're pressed for time and want to see the major scenic attractions of Rio!
We had the best time on this tour! Luciana served as our tour guide, and she was exceptional. She was very informative and kept up with our group throughout the tour stops. This tour was well planned, and we were able to see many of Rio's iconic landmarks in one day, with all admission fees included in the overall tour price. In the future, I would recommend this tour to anyone coming to Rio de Janeiro!
The tour was great! Thalyta was a really good guide and super impressive. She had to conduct the tour in Spanish, English and Portuguese, and honestly no information was missed! She was able to tell us about all the things passing by in enough time to see them and understand. For the tour itself, it was more self-guided. She would give you a set amount of time and you were free to explore the space as necessary. We did only wish we had more time to take in and appreciate the Christ the Redeemer, but only felt that way because navigating around the high volume of people was difficult. Otherwise, we still got to see it, take awesome pictures, and walk around. The van was very comfy, and the time allotted for each place was very good. We spent about 30 minutes at the Seralon steps, which was enough time to walk the steps, take pictures and even get a drink! We got lucky it was during the week, so not many people were there. The sugar loaf cable cars are also super cool! You have to ride the cars a total of 5 times, and time you get to the top to watch the sunset it’s worth it! Everything was very prompt, and we had a lot of fun and learned a lot. It was one of our favorite touring days.
Jonas was great as a tour guide. He was very organized and took good care of everyone. I think the tour could have made one more stop before sugarloaf mountain, where we spent over two hours. You don’t need over two hours to transport between the cable cars and take pictures atop a mountain.
Great excursion to see some of the well-known sights around Rio. Our guide gave very good explanations of the sights; the driver drove very safely. It was a long day on a van but we met many great people along the way.
Our guide was Cristiane and our driver was Joel. Both were excellent. Would absolutely recommend this tour. Cristiane is one of the most hard working and dedicated tour guides we’ve had and clearly loves her job. She was informative (in English and Spanish) throughout. We always knew exactly what time to meet and where. From the start to the end Cristiane’s commitment shone through.
Very good! We enjoyed the whole trip
We booked this last minute the day before, the confirmation of our tour was fast, communication was clear and easy, the tour guide was punctual. Jonas and Felipe were fantastic as a tour guide and driver, they kept everyone moving so we were able to see everything on the tour and get to the sunset on sugarloaf at a good time. I would absolutely recommend this tour based on my experience.
What a great experience! We had a great day seeing all of the lovely sights. Our tour guide Alexia and driver Sampaio were amazing, and made it a relaxed and fun day. Thank you so much!
Our tour guide, Newton, was very friendly and informative. Tour was on time and went as scheduled. This was a great way to tour rio in a short amount of time!
This tour worked out great since we were short on time in Rio. Thanks, Newton for giving us a great tour! He took us to the main attractions and it was a smooth tour.
We had an absolutely incredible day on this excursion and cannot recommend it highly enough. The itinerary was fantastic from start to finish. We began at the stunning Selarón Steps, continued to the breathtaking Christ the Redeemer, and ended the day watching a spectacular sunset from Sugarloaf Mountain. Each location was unforgettable, and the experience was perfectly organised throughout. A special mention must go to our driver, Victor, who was excellent. He drove safely, professionally, and helped us feel comfortable and secure throughout the entire day. Navigating a busy city like Rio is no easy task, and Victor did a fantastic job. He even stopped to show us a lovely scenic area, around 5 minutes away from Copacabana beach. The true highlight of our experience, however, was our guide, Alexia. She went far above and beyond what we expected from a tour guide. Alexia was knowledgeable, intelligent, engaging, and genuinely friendly. Her passion for Rio, its history, and its culture was evident in everything she shared with us, making every stop even more meaningful and interesting. What made the day particularly special were the opportunities we had for one-to-one conversations with Alexia. She was approachable, supportive, and took a genuine interest in ensuring we had the best possible experience. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail transformed a great excursion into an exceptional one. If it were possible to rate Alexia’s service above five stars, we would struggle to choose a number high enough. She was truly outstanding and played a huge role in making this one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. Thank you, Alexia, Victor, and the entire team for an unforgettable day.
This was an amazing experience for my boyfriend and I!! So convenient and easy way to explore and experience Rio! I would highly recommend this tour if you are deciding which tour to do!
One of the best experiences. Our guide Talitha was awesome. A short time but it covers the main touristic sites of Rio
We had an excellent experience with Mr. Henrique! He arrived right on time to pick up my friends and me from our hotel and was friendly, personable, and easy to talk to from the start. He answered all of our questions and provided informative commentary in both Spanish and English throughout the tour, making the experience engaging and enjoyable for everyone. Mr. Henrique was extremely organized and made everything seamless. He had our tickets ready for us, which allowed us to skip the long lines and spend more time enjoying the attractions. He gave us plenty of time to explore each location and clearly communicated where and when to meet, so everything ran smoothly. What stood out most was his attentiveness and professionalism. He always made sure everyone was accounted for before leaving each stop, making us feel well cared for and comfortable throughout the day. I highly recommend Mr. Henrique to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, organized, and friendly tour guide. From hotel pickup to the end of the tour, he made the entire experience stress-free, enjoyable, and memorable!
Alexia was very focused and enthusiastic about her job. She made this trip wonderful. We had a great time
A truly unforgettable experience. Fantastic value for money and so many amazing locations covered in one day. Alexia is brilliant, very welcoming, kind and speaks multiple languages seamlessly. Victor the driver was also very helpful. I had the best time it was a perfect day!
Awesome views and activities but waiting in the lines for Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf was like being in Disney Land. Very long. Our guide and Driver were great. Just wish the tour company had a way to get us through the line faster instead of waiting with everyone else. That’s why you pay to have a guided tour in my opinion
Great experience with Luciana! Kept us informed and kept us together when other people were touring so we didn’t get lost. Also she very friendly and good at her job. I would recommend her as your guide. I will say to eat before going or bring a snack, you can’t eat until closer to the end due to you going to multiple locations to take photos and time is limited. I still recommend going during the day.
This tour delivers on seeing 3 main historical Rio treasures in just the right amount of time. Sunset view was stunning!
Had a great time during the tour! Our guide Alexia was extremely helpful and resourceful giving us the best time we could have. Would recommend this tour for anyone looking to visit Rio.
Alexia was a great guide, very outgoing and kept the energy in the group up. Everything was well arranged and went smoothly. Highly recommend doing this tour. Thanks for the fun day!
Alexia was very nice and professional. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. The tour was planned out perfectly. All we had to do was enjoy the scenery. I would recommend any tour with Alexia to anyone visiting Rio
Shuttle bus to Christ the Redeemer/ Seralon stairs and Sugarloaf. They technically did not wait until after sunset? Maybe that’s a subjective term but to me it when the sun goes completely down. Not as it’s going down. I didn’t know why they couldn’t wait 5 minutes.
It was a great experience. Everything was smooth, without hassle. Just rely on the tour guide and enjoy the locations. Alejandro, our tour guide was amazing.
The tour was great. Our guide Leandro was the best you will be in good hands. Overall I rate the tour A+
We had a great half day tour to the highlights of Rio and Tour leader Sandra did an awesome job despite very long queues and kept calm when ppl unfortunately were late and inattentive.
Despite getting underway a little late (thanks to lots of traffic), this was an amazing tour!! Henrique was fantastic. He provided all kinds of great details about the places we went, and kept us all organized and safe on a crowded day.
Daniel was a great guide. He has very specific knowledge and was very much dedicated to make the trip as interesting and comfortable as possible for everyone in the group, by taking into account everyone’s individual interests.
A very nice tour. Our guide Malaquias was fantastic. He made us pass the long lines of people so we got the most out of the tour.
Fantastic tour from start to finish. Daniel was excellant and kept all the group on time throughout the day.
Marcio was a wonderful guide. He was very diligent in ensuring everyone was ok. He took very good care of us. Enjoyed the 3 sites on the tour.
A fantastic day. Daniel was excellent and very good at keeping all the group on time at each point. A must do trip if you are on a short visit to Rio de Janeiro as you get to see the highlights in one way.
Wonderful tour. The sunset view from the sugar loaf mountain was exquisite. Our guide Vivi was wonderful. She made sure everyone was at ease and looked after us. Honestly so good!
