Half Day Private E-bike Tour In Rio

Absolutely incredible experience! Stefano was a fantastic guide, showing me all sorts of beautiful viewpoints, spotting animals, and helping me find a good place for lunch in Santa Teresa once the ride was over. Riding an e-bike is the ideal way to see the whole breadth of Rio in a single day, from the mountaintops in Tijuca National Park to Copacabana beach and everywhere in between. I will be recommending this tour whenever any of my friends visit Rio.

I had a fantastic experience with Vita Carioca and would definitely recommend their e-mountainbike tours. Communication was smooth from the start—everything was arranged via WhatsApp, and I could easily discuss route options in advance. They generally suggest different routes in Tijuca National Park (around 30–50 km) as well as a more urban option; I chose the longer park tour and it was absolutely worth it. Despite Rio’s heat, the temperature in the park was surprisingly comfortable, and with the e-bikes the distance is very manageable. I especially appreciated how safe everything felt—no riding through favelas—and how you get to see a completely different, green side of Rio that’s easy to miss otherwise. The guide was attentive and well-organized, even coordinating with my Uber driver beforehand to ensure a safe ride to Santa Teresa. Along the way, we had plenty of scenic stops, amazing views of Corcovado, and even spotted two sloths. The equipment was high quality (helmet included), and you can adjust the difficulty easily by controlling the level of assistance on the bike. After the tour, I received lots of great photos and videos, and the guide even dropped me off at the Selarón Steps, which was a nice extra touch. Overall, a really enjoyable and unique way to explore Rio.

This was my husband’s and I first time riding an e-bike. Our guide was super knowledgeable and helpful. He shared insights about Brazil and was a great communicator. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Brazil.

If you’re after a unique and energetic view of Rio this is the tour for you. Stefano guided us through some amazing parts of Rio that most tourist would not experience. Being on an e-bike gave us a real connection to the environment which included the forest as well as the city and beaches. We saw several types of monkeys, turtles, toucans and lots of other birds. We covered 50km in 6 hours which should be considered when booking this. Totally worth the effort. Thanks Stefano for a memorable tour.

Our e-bike tour was the highlight of our trip to Rio. The ride started at our guides local suburb, which gave us more authentic feel of the city. Great bikes that made things effortless so we could relax and enjoy the views. Stefano was friendly, knowledgeable and made sure we felt safe navigating both the greener areas and the coastal paths. It was great to see Rio from a different perspective and would highly recommend.

We’ve been visiting Rio for many years. This tour provided by Stefano was so much fun. We were able to see things from a perspective we’ve never seen before. Stefano did an excellent job leading us up and down the hills and throughout the city. This was one of our favorite memories from our trip. Stefano is a very good guide, i felt very safe because his bikes are good and he gives very good directions where to bike. He has a very nice tour side seeing a lot of different places in rio and the forest. Would for sure recommend him. Thanx stefano i loved it👌

We spent the most amazing 7 hours with Stefano on his "long" tour. I was initially a little apprehensive because I've never been on an e-bike before. But I needn't have worried. Stefano was so patient throughout the tour, making sure I was comfortable on the bike, providing clear instructions, and guiding with the upmost care. He took a portfolio of pictures and videos for us so we can just simply enjoy our ride and Rio! Stefano was humorous - told us funny stories and a nature lover - very knowledgeable of the floral & fauna. In 7 hours, he gave us the most comprehensive tour of Rio - the hip Santa Teresa, many beautiful lookout points and quiet areas in Tijuca NP, and all the famous beaches. His bikes are in great condition. In the end, not only we got some exercises, we also felt we were just riding and hanging out with a friend, and not on a pedestrian touristy tour!

The tour was really nice, would especially recommend if you like to cycle and be in nature. It offers great views of Rio. We even saw some toucans.

Stefano was an oustanding guide - so friendly, knowledgeable on the area and good fun. I'd highly recommend doing this tour early in your Rio stay as you get to see pretty much all of the city. Bikes were great and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You will need to have a little bit of fitness and some familiarity with cycling.

This bike tour was incredible, you do need a little bit of fitness to work the bike but the bike was easy to use if you know how to cycle. Had a fabulous morning e bike tour with Stefano. We covered 30km and the views of Rio were amazing. Stefano was very knowledgeable and more than happy to ride at our pace . He took many wonderful photos and videos for us to treasure.

Our e-bike tour in the Tijuca Forest in Rio was excellent. Stefan is a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and communicates well. He is also very aware of you as you are biking and always asking if you need anything and making sure that you are safe. The views on this tour are amazing. The views of Rio are as good as any view from Christ the Redeemer or Sugar Loaf and with fewer people! We are pretty experienced bike riders and own our own e-bikes, so the biking was OK for us, but there are some challenging hills and it helps if you do have some experience riding a bike! It is a very doable trip for someone of average physical ability, but be ready for a few somewhat challenging rides up a few hills, but worth the effort for the beautiful views! We even saw a couple of monkeys and Stefan was the one who spotted them! We highly recommend this bike tour. It was a highlight of our time in Rio.

This is a very nice way to discover the city in a good half day. Recommended for active/sporty people as you get to climb up Rio’s hills. Stefano is very entertaining and will happily share his experiences as an adopted Carioca.

This was an amazing experience. Stefano was delightful and so knowledgeable. I cannot believe what a hidden gem he has created with this trip. The e-bike makes getting through the hills very easy and we were able to spend most of the ride in secluded areas while getting incredible views of every major landmark in Rio. Stefano made sure we had as much rest as we wanted. He also took many pictures and videos of us at each vista, which he emailed to us afterward. This was my favorite activity in our entire trip!

Great tour! I did the small tour with my friends which lasted about 3h30m Stefano took us to see beautiful landscapes. We also met monkeys and toucans. Super-performing e-bikes! Stefano is super friendly and nice. TOP!

Stefano is such a lovely guy! He made us feel very safe with a great explanation of how to use the e-bikes and was happy to adapt the experience to our preference. He took things at our pace and he stopped at the most incredible viewpoints which were simply amazing ! We had the best view of Christ the Redeemer and the Rochina favella as well as many other incredible spots that nobody else can show you on any other tour. We are from London UK and Stefano speaks perfect English and is well travelled so he is easy to speak with and a really interesting and lovely guy. We saw monkeys, toucans, an armadillo and giant ants. Whilst the tour was 40km long it felt so easy with the assistance of the e-bike and Stefano demonstrating great knowledge, always cheerful and patient and I could not recommend using Stefano for this tour any more, he was simply perfect and it was great value for money too!

Stefano is an amazing guide. The tour begins at his home in Santa Teresa and passes nearby a favela(but doesn’t go into it) with views of the north of the city. Then we ride into the Tijuca rain forest along the roads that are, in the most part, closed to cars. Great views of the city and Chist the Redeemer. We saw monkeys and tucans. A large portion of the tour is in the silence and tranquility of the rain forest. Then we ride along the Freitas lagoon looking for capibaras on Leblon’s lagoon side and along the bike paths of Copacabana, Botafogo ( nice views of Pâo de Açucar) and Flamengo beach where we stopped for a fresh coconut, and then back to Santa Teresa. It is a long ride that cover much of the south of the city but the e-bikes allow you to ride so much longer. The bikes are in great shape. There are bathroom stops and Stefano gives a nice introduction to Rio. There are a few moments with city traffic that are a bit unnerving but Stefano is careful and knows what precautions to take. However most of the tour is through bike paths or pedestrian areas that are very safe. It is a good work out and great introduction to Rio where you can appreciate how this city is built between the ocean and a rain forest.

This was amazing! Stefano was a great guide who showed me some really beautiful spots as we cycled through the forest. So brilliant to have such a knowledgeable guide so I was able to just enjoy the views and learn about the places and animals we saw. He was incredibly accommodating dealing with my work schedule so that I could fit the trip in. So long as you are OK at cycling I would recommend this trip to everyone. A brilliant day, if I could give it more stars I would, thanks so much!

The tour with Stefano was amazing - an absolute must do when visiting Rio! He is a really nice guide that knows everything about the city and the parts of the tour. During the tour you have some of the best views on different parts of Rio, that you won’t get on „the normal routes“ Also the bikes and safety standards are super fine and make the tour an amazing experience.

Stefano was a great guide. He was very personable, reached out prior to the excursion to ensure we were ok. Once on the tour, he took plenty of pictures and even created a video slide show with a copy of our route attached. It was awesome! He is very detailed, made sure we stopped at all the scenic points. The ride through the forest was amazing! We stopped for pictures and had a mini photo shoot. I would definitely recommend this tour to friends. We have made a friend in Stefano!
