Guide left one of the guests. The guest had to uber to meet us at lunch. We showed up to Christ The Redeemer at end of the day & she hadn’t purchased the tickets yet so they were sold out. Luckily we bought tickets from a man that only spoke Portugese & we were all allowed to go to Christ The Redeemer after all. We were reimbursed for the Christ The Redeemer tickets from Trip Advisor but it cost more to purchase the additional tickets thus out another $25 US dollars. Still love Rio but didn’t have a great guide….also loved the fellow travelers on the tour from all over the world due none of us knew each other but we became friends after spending 10 hours together….the world should be more like that where we all become friends.

Corcovado is one of the hills of the city of Rio de Janeiro, famous in Brazil and in the world for its 38 meters high statue of Christ the Redeemer. Christ the Redeemer is one of the main symbols of the country and offers a privileged panoramic view of the city of Rio de Janeiro. 1 hour stop at the place with ticket included.
The Pão de Açúcar cable car is a cable car located in the Urca neighborhood, in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. It connects Praia Vermelha to Morro da Urca and to Morro do Pão de Açúcar. It is one of the main tourist attractions in the city. Stop 1 hour and 20 on site with ticket included.
Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho, better known as Maracanã, the popular Maraca ("similar to a rattle" in Tupi-Guarani, due to the sound of birds that lived there), is a football stadium located in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro and inaugurated in 1950, during the term of the then General of Division and Mayor of the Federal District of Rio de Janeiro Marechal Ângelo Mendes de Moraes, having been used in the Soccer World Cup of that year. Stop 30 minutes on site. External visit and for photos.
The Cathedral of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, also known as Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro, is a Catholic cathedral located in the city center of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. It was inaugurated in 1979, replacing, as the city's cathedral, the Church of Nossa Senhora do Carmo.
The Marquês de Sapucaí Sambadrome, also known as Rio de Janeiro's Sambadrome and officially named as Passarela Professor Darcy Ribeiro, is a sambadrome located on Avenida Marquês de Sapucaí, in the central area of the city of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. Stop 30 minutes on site. External visit and for photos.
The Selarón Staircase is an architectural work located between the neighborhoods of Santa Teresa and Lapa, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, decorated by long-standing Chilean artist Jorge Selarón, who declared it as a "tribute to the Brazilian people" . Stop 30 minutes on site.
Lapa is a bohemian and vibrant neighborhood, known for its traditional bars, nightclubs with live music, dance halls and open samba circles below Arcos da Lapa, a Roman-style aqueduct. Another concentration of nightlife is the area around the Selarón Staircase, a unique architectural work adorned by hand-painted tile mosaics.
Tijuca National Park is a Brazilian conservation unit with integral protection of the Tijuca Forest. The Tijuca Forest was on the way to Lagoa da Tijuca, which is why it ended up acquiring the name of this lagoon. Panoramic visit.

I spend a very nice day ..The guide Joao was awesome he provides us lots of informations and he speaks three languages.Hes very professional 👏 I had the expérience of my life Highly recommanded !
I highly recommend it. The service was wonderful, the transportation was comfortable and on time, and the agency supported us perfectly
They changed the tour from 8 hours to 4 hours citing traffic concerns. But there weee hardly any extra traffic beyond the usual. We paid for lunch plus the afternoon’s attractions and had to ask for a refund. The refunded only $25 from a $140 tour that is cut in half. Do not go with this company at all cost.
Was really Amazing tour of the city. We start First with the cathedral and Stars of Seleron then Sambódromo stadium Maracanà. But the best part of the tour was with Pan the azúcar and Cristo redentor. Simply the best thank s a lor for everything
The views were amazing.its a very good experience in rio . Must do things when you visit rio . Incredible tour experience and very friendly guides.
Overall was a great tour! Enjoyed all the stops, the vibes on the boat were amazing. The food could be better. It was a long bus ride but the seats were comfortable and the air conditioning was greatly appreciated
Our Guide did a great job getting us to all the sites and getting great photos. This was a great trip to see some of the iconic sites in Rio. Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, Cathedral, and more.
The tour guide was amazing, spoke different languages and kept us entertained all the time. Excellent professional...
Nice tour but Corcovado was foggy . Statue and scenery obscured due to fog. Requested an English speaking tour and this was not one. Too many hotel pickups all nonEnglish speaking guests,
The tour was basically hopeless. The van was filled to capacity and if you were in the back part of the bus , you could not hear any commentary at all. Mind you there wasn’t that much anyway. The microphone was inadequate for the bus and when turned up gave an echo that distorted the sound. A main requirement for any bus tour is a clear commentary. Our guide ( lady with the red hat ) gave very little overview of the background or the history and beginnings of each stop. We were dropped off at each location and told to return to the pickup points at the designated time after minutes allowed. Very little or no overview at all. . The bus broke down ( although another bus did arrive fairly quickly after the lunch. ) The food at the lunch was plentiful but all very lukewarm. You pay for any drinks. All in all you could have done this tour by yourself with a taxi , skip the lunch and save yourself some money. Other guests privately told us the same thing. A pity because the tour if done properly could have been good. I noticed previous reviews were very good . Guess we copped a poor one . Suggest try another company.
It was an amazing day trip! Our instructor Mar was amazing. She never rushed us and gave us plenty of time throughout the day to shop and take pictures. It was a lovely experience and am glad we had Mar as our guide. She was very funny and a great guide to have which added to the great experience of the tour. The food was also really good, we enjoyed the buffet. Successful day and beautiful city👍🏼 We saw the steps, Christ the redeemer, the cathedral, the sugar mountain, city tour, and had a great buffet
Bus was clean and everything worked. Driver and Guide were punctual. Group of 16 was manageable without too much waiting around. Guide, Patricia, was a lot of fun, knowledgeable and attentive to all our different needs.
The tour guide, driver and the tour were 5 stars fantastic. The places we saw Christ the Redeemer, the magnificent Presbyterian Cathedral, the colourful steps and the cable car to Sugarloaf Mountain were amazing. The only downside was the restaurant for lunch it was horrible. The food was very below average, couldn’t understand the food labels although some I recognised others definitely not. While it didn’t look appetising it didn’t taste nice either. There were so many people pushing and shoving to get to buffets it was not enjoyable. You had to get your food first and then while your food is going cold try to find somewhere to sit. Definitely not good value for money. Would have been much more enjoyable going to an authentic Churriscaria restaurant.
This was a great experience. Aside from a late start and pick up, everything else was amazing. The team was so knowledgeable about Brazil and made us feel very welcomed. We went to all the must see places in Rio and enjoyed a lovely buffet lunch.
We felt this tour was the highlight of our trip to Rio and would do it again if we ever came back. The driver and guide did an excellent job, and the bus was very clean. Thank you all for providing us a great tour of Rio de Janeiro!
Great tour guide! Enjoyed all of the stops. Enjoyed seeing the history that Rio has to offer. Definitely recommend it.
Escadaria Selaron was really amazing to see the detail of work and and the dedication of tbe artist to his craft. The sights from Christ the Redeemer are worth the wait, trek and crowds. Our guide Papa was good at keeping us safe and on time.
Tour guide was friendly but his English was not very good. The group we were with were very loud- not the guides fault. Christ the redeemer and sugarloaf were very cool. The steps, overrated and covered in tourists. Not enough time to buy souvenirs between attractions. Would have liked drinks to be available on the bus as it was very hot.
It is an understatement to say that the tour did not proceed as contracted or promised. The tour operator responded by blaming us, and the large number of tourists in Rio that day, for the difficulties. The tour was to begin at 8 am. However, we were told that we would be picked up at 9:30. After several calls to RPT, the guide (Carlos) appeared at 10:10, having obviously picked up several others along the way. There were at least 20 people on the tour, even though it was advertised to be limited to 16. In fact, Carlos ordered Ubers for the extra people. The Uber drivers understandably objected to be used this way and literally stranded them on a random street. The tour was advertised to last 8 hours which would mean an end at no later than 5 pm. At 5:45 we were still at the Christ the Redeemer site (stop 4 of 6, one of which was a drive-by, not the promised stop) and, as we had a 7pm reservation, we felt it necessary to leave the tour and got a taxi at our own expense. It is a bit of a puzzle as to why we couldn’t have been picked up at the cruise port location but in any case, there was another cruise passenger (a young solo female) from our ship who was given a completely different pick-up location. She reported that she was at the designated spot, and that no one showed, and after contacting the tour operator, she was sent not one, but 2 Ubers to meet with us. And then Carlos the guide shouted at her. Carlos was very unprofessional. - He literally pushed at least 2 women and continued to “touch” them until he was told to stop. - In an effort to squeeze 20 people into the shuttle, he made people move and sit 4 people to seats meant for 3. - The commentary at the first stop was “This is the first stop”. The location was a set of tiled steps that are apparently historic. - At the second stop – Sugarloaf – Carlos had the driver stop in an illegal spot and told us all to “get out”. As the police were there, only a few of us got out quickly enough, then the doors were shut and off they went. We were told to “wait over there” and then when we didn’t quite know what that meant, he shouted at us. - After that stop, we spent approximately 45 minutes standing in the sun waiting for the shuttle bus – it was obvious that Carlos was unhappy with the driver who struggled to figure out what it was that Carlos wanted. I know this because I was seated next to the driver and Carlos spoke pretty much non-stop to the driver in an agitated voice and directly in my ear. - The lunch stop was at 1430, which was too late for an 0800 start. - At the Christ the Redeemer site, he gave no commentary except for reciting some statistics. - While we did get to 4 of the 6 promised stops, and it is possible that the tour continued after we left, it is obvious that it was over-promised and over-booked. In short, this tour rates as the least organized, most poorly implemented, and unprofessional experience that we have been on in our years with Trip Advisor and its contractors. Save your money.
Horrible experience, tour guide was disorganized, condescending and inappropriate with guests. The bus was late for every pickup so that we could not even finish the tour. Don’t waste your time or money.
The whole tour was rushed. The time to stop at each spot was less than advertised. We had to ask to go to the aqueduct. Otherwise the spot would be skipped. However, the guide did work hard to gather all the people in the group.
Great trip! Bruno was a great guide and made the trip a fun experience! Sunset at Sugarloaf Mountain is a must!
Buffet lunch was extra to top up the tour. "The must see" in Rio in one day. Only the photograph was a bit pricey for digital pictures send by email - no big difference in quality from photos taken by a good cellular phone. Antonio, the guide, was taking care of everyone and everything.
Terrible service, was confirmed I would be collected at 9:30 from my hotel. At 10:00, after waiting, I was informed the "van had broken down" and would be unable to collect me. No effort was made to help. I've had these excuses before, I understand these companies likely over book and get very busy, but it is not acceptable service. Day ruined. Alternative dates were offered but I had work to attend the following week, leaving my one free day wasted.
My son and I had our full day tour today and I must say that my money is worth. We have a great tour guide ( Thanks Priscilla!) and our driver. It was thorough and we had enough time to look around and take pictures. Just a reminder that if you are satisfied with your tour guide, do not forget to give some tips! I know that Brazil is not used to tips but a little appreciation would make them happy and appreciated!
I recommend skipping the full day tour and just finding a half-day that visits Sugar Loaf and Corcavado. The lunch was only so-so, and the places visited in the afternoon added nothing to the trip. Take an Uber to the central area and you can spend all the time you want seeing the worthwhile sights that were part of the afternoon. The stadium and Sambadrome were like visiting abandoned East German era buildings - a waste of time.
Amazing ride, with amazing companions. The guide was a show apart! Excellent guide, with good knowledge of the places visited, polite, attentive and very humorous! Everything perfect
Good overall tour of the highlights of Rio de Janeiro. Good lunch and hit all the good spaces. Good guide.
i love angra dos reis and ilha grande! how beautiful! I enjoyed a lot! beautiful islands good food and very nice guide! thank you! I'll be back with you
We spent a wonderful day touring the most beautiful city in the world. We chose this agency and it was the right choice. The tour is complete and we were able to enjoy all the tourist points. There were no delays or queues to deal with. Everything was very nice and pleasant.
Very good tour. I liked everything.l recommed It for families as you don't have to face queues at the entrance for Cristo and Pão de Acucar. The guide was friendly and the food was really good. The really nice experience.
This is the second time I have taken this tour with this agency. Always impeccable. We were able to enjoy it again like it was the first time. The guides are very good and the places we visit are breathtaking. I highly recommend!
My daughter and I loved the 1 day Rio City Tour! Besides the amazing views, the tour guide Manuela was extra nice and gave us very interesting and educational information about Rio de Janeiro. Lunch was delicious and abundant! We really look forward to coming back as soon as we can and do this City Tour again! ❤️
Day was amazing. Hector very dynamic and attentive. There have been delays from other customers that interrupted a bit but we are subject to this. Particularly Hector congratulations on the guidance work and waist play to deal with adversity.
Excellent everywhere! The tour is worth it, do not hesitate. Dream beaches, an amazing day. The staff super friendly, all the vibes on the boat. All professionals. I highly recommend it!
Unforgettable experience with the guided tour in one day , we managed to see many places in Rio, alone it would have been much more complicated.
City tour that allows you to visit the most attractive tourist places in Rio. The guide, Clara, was great at explaining everything. Lunch on offer is great. A really nice tour
The tour to Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf was undoubtedly one of the most exciting experiences of my trip to Rio de Janeiro. From the very first moment, the organization proved impeccable: punctual guidance, comfortable transportation and detailed explanations along the way. The first stop at Christ the Redeemer, one of the seven wonders of the modern world, was simply breathtaking. Climbing the Corcovado and standing in front of the imposing statue with Rio lying at its feet is a moment that leaves you speechless. The panoramic view is spectacular and the guide was able to tell the story and the meaning of the monument in an engaging way. The tour then continued to Sugarloaf, another iconic symbol of the city. Riding the cable car is already an evocative experience, but the real show opens once you get to the top: the 360-degree view of Rio, Guanabara Bay, the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, is something that will forever remain in your memory. A perfect balance between nature, history and breathtaking views. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rio: it is the best way to discover two of its most emblematic places in a single, unforgettable day.
Spectacular experience... the organization was nothing short of perfect. The people were extremely patient and kind... even the typically Brazilian lunch was more than satisfactory.... experience to repeat🇧🇷
We took the day tour visiting all the major and most popular sites that Brazil has to offer! Started by Pao de Açucar with amazing and exciting view at the same time. The journey to the top was necessary thanks to the two cable cars but the view from the highest point overlooking the whole city is electrifying! Continued with Christ the Redeemer where as soon as it manifests itself it turns out to be majestic and exciting at the same time!! Continued with the staircase de selaron full of magical colors ended with the cathedral just as majestic! What about: fantastic tour and to repeat!!
A beautiful experience, a tour with attention to detail, a friendly guide and a breathtaking panorama. In the price was also included lunch and we ate very well.
Always to do!! Rio wonder! Best organized tour and expert guide Bravo.. agency always present ❤️
The One Day Tour in Rio was very good. The places are fantastic. The Van is very good. The very punctual tourism agency. The restaurant was good. The Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Bread, Selaron Stairs and others were all very good. We had a lot of fun.
Wonderful walk. Very easy hiring and everything well clarified. I contacted by reference from a friend and I recommend too. Guide fun, attentive and explained everything. Time in each place great, no delays. As much as it wasn't his role, guide would take pictures if he asked, but we only asked once. It was scheduled the 8:35, we were notified 18:30 on Thursday. On Friday at 7:15 the guide contacted, 7:40 he said that the driver was already at the hotel. As we were not warned very early and we were not ready, we left at 8:30. The guide spoke Spanish, we were only 3 Brazilians among all, the rest only spoke Spanish too. As we are gaúchas and we live on the border, peacefully understanding what he was talking about.
Unforgettable tour of Rio. Great organization. We also had lunch included in the price. Highly recommended the agency that organized the Tour, attentive to every need.
Trusted company, which provided us with wonderful moments. The tour was great, and the guide Tati was very agile so we didn't stay in the queues so long. Super indico.
The team at Rio Paseos and Trails is excellent, all very professional. Our guide, sir. Antônio, it was sensational, always with interesting information and that added a lot in the tours. All along we felt very safe and well served. Their work is worth every penny. Congratulations!
Better tourist attractions. All beautiful. Very well directed. Tourist guide Márcio pure sympathy. It left the ride more fun.
Amazing tour of Rio de Janeiro. Note 1000. We were able to visit the various sights of Rio de Janeiro and lunch at the restaurant was excellent. Thank Guia Tati for removing all doubts during the tour and for exposing the historical side of each tourist spot.
